Okay, so now I'm just being a little unloyal... I don't have a real reason this time, but this is how I've been feeling recently. Life is on You:
Well, it is a claxmotional song, sort of... I just love the 'usual boring/lazy/typical day' feel of it. Always feels so perfect for those type of days, getting home from school, same old imperfect life...

Barely made it this time... So here's a song from a game I've never played, yet I've loved this song for so many years... It sure brings me back some memories... Wind's Nocturne: The game was remade at some point, and so was the song... Still the same singer, though, and very similar, but the song is much longer and the lyrics are different. Also good, but I prefer the first one's lyrics, even if these are more true to the original Japanese. Nonetheless, it has great lyrics as well: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mbHtfRX434&feature=youtu.beAnd, topping things off with an awesome, upbeat vocaloid version! www.youtube.com/watch?v=YH70YbqlAq0&feature=youtu.beWishing on a dream that seems far off... What's it like to truly love someone for sure, and to gain their undying love in return?

That's a somewhat beautiful song.
Did you say it was from a game?

Yep, from Lunar: Silver Star Story. The game was remade on PSP as Silver Star Harmony, with that other version of the song. But the first time I ever heard the song, it was actually none of those versions... It was a flash video, known as Shii's song. jerzat.altervista.org/shii.html

One of my favorite animes... Spiral: The Bond of Reasoning. The story of an introverted, but very intellectual student, who gets caught up in the mystery of the 'Blade Children' along with a very cheery classmate. The thing is, the anime is ultimately about the characters, because by the end, no answers are resolved. It's kind of strange, but it's due to the anime having gone past the manga... Still, the characters and development were top-notch, and it was full of many exciting scenarios and mind games and puzzles. So here's the opening to Spiral, such a beautiful opening... Cape of Hope (this song gets rather mixed opinions due to the singer, but I love the OP and song): There's a song that perseveres throughout the anime... A little tune the female lead is always singing, and used as an instrumental background at some points. It's a really silly and cute song... Twinkle My Heart: www.youtube.com/watch?v=epN3xgiLPyAThere's also a few themes about playing piano... Here's one of the piano pieces, White Butterfly: www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lq6hNeSulkAnd, every anime needs an ending, Cocktail... You know, I didn't really like this song at first, but it grew on me after I finished the anime, and I really like it now, sometimes I'll get it stuck in my head for a few days... But I'm not sure if that's just me. Maybe some of you will instantly like it, I dunno... Anyway, to my surprise this video also ends with a Hiyono Theater, the next episode preview thing, which features a cool little song and Hiyono's adorableness (In Japanese, and I prefer her English voice which I think was amazingly well done, but they're both so adorable): www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AuwS9z3lpIAnd that's that... Originally, Spiral was one of the three animes I wanted to watch, along with Eureka Seven and Black Cat. Then I watched Devil May Cry, and came across a description of Guilty Crown and thought it sounded awesome (and I had no idea I was getting into a high-budget popular anime, or that it was even new at the time) and then I remember that it was so awesome I'd stay up watching it, and then I just slowly got trapped into the eternally-building plan-to-watch anime list I have today... Well, anyway... For you Pokemon fans, I came across this at some point. A pretty well done Pokemon version of the Spiral opening: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-prY-Ju0Xg&feature=youtu.be

I don't like that song... the singer pierces into my ears like a hot knife through... well, air.
In other news I can't get it out of my head. Oh well. I probably wont watch the anime because I'm sick of seeing so many good animes persistently have no conclusion because of industry reasons...

Yeah, like I said... Mixed opinions. Although I don't really understand why, because I'm in the minority who finds the singer's voice super cute and awesome and looked up more songs by Strawberry Jam. I can also listen to this and enjoy all three hours, and the endless abyss of (supposedly) irritating XX-hour-long Youtube videos. I think I'm impervious to annoying, or even find it entertaining... But I'm not annoying, am I? Well, I think the Spiral anime ended pretty good, after getting over how I couldn't believe it ended like that, but when I thought about it, the anime also talked about the value of life and happiness and friends through the whole series. The disappearance of the main character's brother, the mystery of the Blade Children... I think the ending conveys its own good ending, in that not everything has an answer in life, but it doesn't really matter, and even the Blade Children can live on their lives with their existence unresolved. It does reach a conclusion, just not the ideal one, but still a good and happy one.

One of my favorite game series... Armored Core. The older games had some very ambient/typical music (for the most part), but starting with AC4, the games developed a brand new style of music. By which I mean, an actual new genre of music. I don't know if it actually is a genre of music... But I've never heard anything like the music from the games. Here's one of the songs that signified the change for me. Playing the demo for AC4, this music greeted me in a mission, where I was expecting generic, quiet techno tracks. "I want to talk about speed for you," Speed: Yes, they are pretty Engrishy... This is a song from the next game, AC: For Answer. Like the rest of the soundtrack, it has a similar style AC4. A kind of flowing style, with some songs having a phrase repeated over and over. "Let it go around the cosmos, over the pain." Cosmos: www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQkLO-j-8asI said the old games had some generic music... Well, they do have some likable tracks every now and then. There's some surprisingly lighthearted tracks, such as this one, that plays in the first mission of AC: Silent Line. Morning, Lemontea: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ow-SoBFe1nMAll of the songs I've mentioned so far have been remixed amazingly well by two music remixing teams, but I felt it's better to share the originals. But for the last one, here's one of those 'surpirisngly lighthearted,' memorable songs from the older games... Remixed. From AC3, it keeps the original tune, but streamlines it more with a stronger beat and other effects (picks up at around 1:15). In My Heart: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBLOT1FeCt4And there will be more Armored Core songs to come next post... Oh, and a new Armored Core remix album just released around yesterday I believe. Pretty exciting. But I'm gonna have to wait for the digital copy of it to release at the end of the week.

Armored Core continues as a series now... And in this post. It seems it's slowly becoming more popular ever since the release of Armored Core V, which is a prequel reboot to the series. It's taken a whole new form, while maintaining basic concepts. And so here's the song that plays in the 'first' mission (which is more like a foreshadowing dream) of ACV. I thought it was a pretty epic song to start the brand new world of Armored Core. Lament Over the Howling Age: And going back to the previous games, Armored Core 4 had a pretty awesome final battle... This song is really just so... Encouraging, and inspirational, and uplifting given the whole situation of the end. Fall: www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2vib83SYTsAC:4A has some really nice songs, too... This song has no real situation behind it, it's just a 'mission song.' But again, it's modern AC's signature style of music... I really love the background of this song, the bass, beat, and all. The vocals are also kind of hypnotizing. Remember: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cl9FQIT-6iY And a beautiful song from For Answer... The first half plays in the title screen, and the second half in all the menus until starting a mission. It also plays in the final battle. It's such a nice and peaceful song... No matter where you are, just remember, that Someone is Always Moving on the Surface: www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6xTT9DSNd0My first AC game was Last Raven... But that game was a strange one. It's an extremely desolate game. After all, it's in a post-apocalyptic world, the plot of the game being that by the end, you're the last Raven (pilot) alive. The entire soundtrack is very... Quiet, and plain techno. Almost like the whole game is silent, yet there's some very quiet music playing. Well, that's why I didn't post any songs from it, but the title screen music from it is pretty interesting.

Monster Hunter... It really takes me back. One of my closest favorites. Every Monster Hunter game I've played has been like an anime adventure with meeting new friends and stuff. Yet, it's all so sad that at the end, every game, I end up losing communication with the people I met. But it's fine that way, isn't it? It's like every game is a tale that comes to an end... Maybe sometimes friendships within online games are just one-sided, so getting bored of playing takes precedence over just going on to meet your friends? No... I don't think that was the case in the last adventure, at least. ... Well, I'm already getting sentimental here. So, then, to start off... The original Monster Hunter theme. It's a real classic orchestrated theme. Where it all began, the Monster Hunter Claxus who was too afraid to play and fight dragons at first, but then eased up slowly into a courageous hero, by hunting with others, rather than alone. Proof of a Hero: Every quest complete was an inspiration... Moving together as one, Claxus and the other hunters felled many threatening monsters. A heart of trust and the strength of one's bonds are what make a real hunter! And a real hunter carves the path with their friends to Triumph!: www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4xi8Rs6mW8Life as a hunter is risking yourself every day in a field of battle... After many tiring quests, it's always great to just relax in your little home, and chat with your friends, and think about many other things Beneath All the Stars in the Sky. The peaceful song of good times and sad times: www.youtube.com/watch?v=cI6PzOVQDvcTough times, hard times, Claxus made it through, with the strength from his hunter friends. No longer afraid to stand up to any monster, from fighting on his own, rolling into fireballs to take hits for others, attacking a huge monster shelled in steel charging at him head-on to protect friend, and fighting as an expert of the team, he rose in ranks... And it was time for the decisive battle, against the legendary dark dragon, in the dark sky and arena of Castle Schrade, Theme of Fatalis!: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PCVlaGcJNgClaxus courageously and successfully felled the god-like dragon, throwing away his fear and embracing the power of bonds! Well, actually... He still wasn't the most fearless hero. Against Fatalis, Claxus let his allies take the lead in the assault, providing heavy support with a large bowgun. Anti-climactic? Maybe, but either way, ' targeted and firing!' The Final and Decisive Battle may have been over, in an un-heroic way, whether or not he played a vital role to the battle. But life as a hunter continued! But things were slowly going to change... Next time, on Most Claxmotional OST!

Painful memories with Monster Hunter Tri? I don't see how that can happen... So, previously, on Most Claxmotional OST... Well, look at the last post, geez. I've neglected this for a bit, but Spring Break's started, as well a temporary relief from the tides of life. I should be in the mood to post here daily again... Should. And as I finished this post, I added in this sentence to say that this'll be longer than usual and you might want to take a break in between... Or something. Seriously, it's like, longer than Al's stories... Almost. Claxus continued life as a monster hunter... Though eventually everyone around him was no longer around. In the end, even he was gone... But a new story had begun later on. Now in a new little village, Claxus took up monster hunting once again, this time, as a lone wolf. Pokke Village: www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=6eK_2NDAWgsIt wasn't so bad hunting alone... With every victory of his own strength, Claxus felt himself becoming more of the hero he had once envisioned. Again, the path to Triumph!: www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYTg3096hu8In a new land, there were also new monsters to hunt. Most fell easy to the hero with a lost past, but in the hunting grounds of the snowy mountains, a violent snowstorm began to kick up without any warning. The source became clear soon... A black dragon stood amidst the mountain as intense winds ensnared around it. It was an Elder Dragon... But even with all of his experience, even now being the courageous hero who hunts alone, could he defeat such a monster? It was a battle that spanned many hours, but Claxus had done it. He defeated the dragon, the embodiment of storms, Kushala Daora: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmLQZCA0IBQAnother climactic battle was against a massive, crab-like enemy, headed towards the guild. The towering monster slowly made its way step by step to the Guild's castle. It was a grim-looking battle, as the monster simply ignored every gunlance attack in its unstoppable course, its mere steps being the threat to Claxus' life. It reached the castle gates, but it wasn't over yet... Claxus climbed atop the tower, and activated the piledriver on the gate, the Dragonator. The monster took a fatal blow, but continued to smash at the gates. Claxus took his fight back to the ground, swiftly fighting among its crushing legs as it fell time and time again. With a final explosion of the gunlance to its face, Shen Gaoren retreated the castle: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NHKCglh3NsBut there was still the daily life of a hunter... And eventually, it was time to go back. Back to all of the old hunting grounds from before. It really was strange... Running through the jungle where Claxus had his first real hunt, where he first had started to become courageous as he experienced hunting as a team. The old forest and hills, the swamp, the volcano... Hunting in familiar places, but now there was no one else... Yet as he ran and fought through these areas, he envisioned memories of his times with all of his old friends. The Song with Soul: (but ironicallyish this is the song I happened to be listening to in a random playlist as I ran through the first nostalgic jungle...)www.youtube.com/watch?v=-a1sHmPo7IwNear the end of this second story, it must also be said that Claxus out-of-in-game-characterly hooked up XLink Kai and became able to hunt with some new friends online. But, he was still an excellent lone wolf hunter. Word of a hulking black monster spread around Pokke village, and Claxus was the one who took arms alone to defeat this monster. By now, he was a veteran hunter, and a gunlance expert, an ace hunter who strived with the power of all of his lost and current bonds! If you don't have trust, your dreams will never come true! Claxus stood against the massive dragon in the flaming, hell-like, volcanic arena it resided in, challenging the monster with his silver gunlance. It was an extremely tiring battle in the volcano that seemed to be hopeless, but with the last ounce of strength, having no cool-drinks to fend off the heat, and no potions left for any damage... Claxus charged below the monster, swinging the gunlance upwards as if to pierce the heavens, and settled the climactic battle with one final shot above. Claxus slipped away from under the fallen monster, breathing in relief, and looking at practically the mountain he alone had slayed. Akantor: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkJ2fYlZ5I4Things had reached a happy conclusion... Claxus still had many adventures to come, with his new friends and new lands. Not as the cowardly hunter who was afraid of fighting even small velociprey, or just running past a dragon... But as the heroic, skilled, and courageous hunter who felled many elder dragons, and massive monsters, all with his own strength. You could say. the Monster Hunter 2 Credits played at this point. Claxus even hunted Fatalis again with one of his friends... Taking the lead this time, fighting it up close like the hero in him once wanted to. Even cooking some meat below its shadow as it flew above. Fatalis had fallen again, so effortlessly. As time went on, however, most of the people he had met were also gone, except the hunter he had faced Fatalis with. Feeling like he had reached the end of his journey, he decided he was done with his job as a hunter... But he wanted one final, epic quest to settle things. The name of this quest... It was, "The Arena of Blood and Tears." An 'epic quest' consisting of hunting 4 G-Rank monsters in an arena. And actually, a special arena, the only hunting ground he had never seen before. He fought with all his heart with his last friend, and even to his own surprise, Claxus was fighting completely effortlessly. He danced around the monsters never taking any hits, with such perfect timing and skill... But his friend wasn't the same. Through the course of the quest, he had fallen three times which led to a quest failed. But it was fine. It was a final exciting quest, and perhaps, it was his friend's turn to rise up in the ranks of a hunter. "Do you know "courage" times "friendship" times "tears" equals?! It's a heart of trust, my foolish pupil!" www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDtBSbOba6sWell, the two stayed in touch for a while, though eventually, that friend has also disappeared from any form of communication... Another tale that reached its end, the story of the Monster Hunter Claxus... But who knows, maybe his adventures continue on somewhere else... Or maybe the life of a monster hunter is something that is engraved in his soul, calling him to return some day. That was a lot, huh... I did say these games were more like an anime adventure than a game to me. I know I usually try to limit myself here to 4 or 5 songs, but I wanted to wrap this up. Because... A new story awaits up next!

I'm catching up with this thread, and I half agree with al on spiral. The higher notes sound terrible, but the lower ones sound decent. The higher the singer goes, the more she sounds like a nasally buzzer noise.

Harhar. After the great adventures of Claxus the monster hunter... A new legend was soon to unfold. Somewhere else, in another place in the world of Minegarde, begins a new story of another hunter... The third tale, Monster Hunter Tri, of Monster Hunter Indigo. A joyful and sorrowful tale of a hunter who looked past limitations, who didn't show weakness, but his spirit, and believed in his bonds up until the bitter end, even as he was destined with the fate of solitude... To One With Life: The story of the new hunter starts as he transfers from the great hunter Claxus' same village, a friend he hunted with, to the small Moga Village in a small, remote island (I totally didn't just add backstory). Just as he arrives, there is a tremor... But everything proceeds normally. Indigo greets his new fellow villagers as their new hunter, and slowly progresses: youtu.be/67IB9z6dViYAs the days pass, Indigo accustoms to his new hunter life in the new village. Experiencing several tremors, the village elder finds it the right time to tell the truth. There is a monster that constantly threatens the seaside village, Lagiacrus. The Story Teller is beginning to find a new hope in their new hunter, Indigo. That maybe he could hunt the great beast in the sea that would lead the eventual destruction of Moga Village...: youtu.be/f8_Qgma2Wl8Indigo was still not quite experienced enough to battle such a monster... And so, he bid the village a temporary farewell. The aspiring hunter set sail to a greater land in another shore. The large hunting post in the desert of Loc Lac, where the true adventure would soon begin... youtu.be/gHuLI7lW1ekSay... Why hasn't anyone mentioned my links aren't clickable? I didn't notice with my Linkification add-on, but it seems bolded links are not actually clickable... Guess I'll just stop doing that from this point on. Also edited the first song which I actually used the wrong link...

To break a little monotony, time for a different series! Mischief Makers! Certainly one of the most memorable N64 titles... At least to me, and I don't think it's just nostalgia. It was a game that had unique... Everything. Playing as the android Ultra-Intergalactic-Cybot G Marina Liteyears, it's up to you to save the Clancer World and Professor Theo (who you toss hundreds of miles away every time you save him due to his creepiness) from evil clancers! Basically, the game is a platformer where you can grab and throw just about anything that moves. And shake them. From shaking money out of clancers to shaking missiles to supersize... Bosses include riding on a cat that can surf on missiles the enemy shoots, various mechs, even an emotional battle against an entity of darkness where you have to grab negative words and shake them into golden, positive words to throw... I could keep going on for so long describing how crazy and vivid the game is. But anyway, here's a vocal, alternate version of the game's main theme which is really only found in the game's OST. A pretty happy and catchy song, Trouble Maker: Koi no heart ga, beat ga, no okkoteru, atsui jealousy jealousy tomaranai ... Aitsui troboru troboru maaaakerrrThe actual game music uses pretty interesting synth sounds... It gives the soundtrack a very unique sound from any other game. This song is Esperance 1, and the 1 is there because there's another Esperance in the OST... Not in the game, but it's an actual orchestrated band version of the song (though it's very different): youtu.be/ffZwPAW7RXQThe game has a pretty long ending sequence to wrap up the story rather nicely. The story is of course, hard to take seriously most of the time, even breaking the fourth wall at times, but it does have a few serious moments. Also the ending is 'unlocked' by finding gold crystals in every stage, which grants around 10 seconds of the ending each. It's kinda quirky to have a true ending 'stage' that plays out as far as your determination! This song is from a part of the end, Adieux. There's also an Adieux 1, but this one's one of the two orchestrated songs in the OST. It's a pretty nice song, from a rather sad yet inspirational scene: youtu.be/jJ7NrRd23qgAnd lastly, the song that plays in the credits. Let me get this straight... The opening and ending/credits song have both a game and a vocal soundtrack version, and Esperance 1 and Adieux 1 are game songs of the opening stage and ending that have soundtrack orchestrated versions. Pretty cool OST-exclusives... So here's the vocal version of the credits, the beautiful yet sad song when everything is over... Determination: youtu.be/EBrYb-81y5kAnd... I guess that wasn't really lastly, because here's the game version of the Opening Title!

Well... I don't want to get ahead of myself again with borderline fan-fiction. But to continue and finish off with only the main points and no detaisl that could go on for 3 pages... The song of Success! Every step of the way, Indigo became a reliable and skilled hunter, encountering new monsters and friends along the way...: As life goes on with his new friends, the city of Loc Lac becomes engulfed in a searing sandstorm. An omen of a great monster soon to come... The monstrous Jhen Mohran, a mountain of a dragon that swims through the sands. And now was the time to shine, as Indigo begins to face off against the beast. Through swift teamwork in a sailing battle, Jhen Mohran becomes irritated and shifts its attention to the hunters. And so, the epic battle ensues as Indigo and his team engage in battle at the massive monster's feet fearlessly, Intercepting the Great Gong!: youtu.be/Bl0S_82dkYsBattling courageously and strategically, cannons, ballista, and harpoons firing, and whittling away at the living mountain, it soon reached their defensive line... But a familiar weapon activates, and a familiar song! The dragonator fires, and Jhen Mohran is repelled backwards, but intent on continuing its attack. In a final flush of hope, the hunters spirits' are raised as their attack is noticeably shaking the great monster. Sensing their assault reaching the edge of triumph, they fight whole-heartedly until Jhen Mohran retreats, marking the Testament of a Hero: youtu.be/dobsWQ_OqAoA long time passes as the life of the hunters returns to normal... As the many long days go by, another great situation comes up. The legendary rumored dragon of all elements, said to have destroyed countless airships, has made its appearance. In an epic finale, Indigo and the team confront the hell-like dragon. In a prolonged battle of highs and lows, in the end, the blood and tears to reach this day flowed within Indigo's willpower, as he remembers, his team believes in him, and, "A true hunter possesses knowledge and values their teammates more than anything!" Alatreon let out its final roar of havoc, as the hunters triumphed against the verge of the death: youtu.be/Cbfh9dPAwVkIndigo did go back to the small Moga Village occasionally, and as it turned out, before all this happened, Indigo had slayed the Lagiacrus that threatened the village. But the tremors remained even now... Reaching near the end of this story, Indigo's closest friend had vanished some time after the battle with Alatreon, and everyone else was soon long gone... Indigo still took up arms as a hunter, always assured that those that have gone will eventually return. As those around him slowly disappeared one by one, he continued to fight against destiny as a hunter. And returned peacefully every night to his well-earned, fancy hotel with a great tower-like view of the world around. Wishing on a dream that seems far off... Yet, a Luxurious Time: youtu.be/7flC-GyzQ-gOnly one more trial awaited...

System Recharge: Complete
So, you know... I think I got pretty carried away before with all the Monster Hunter. So I think I should go back to the simpler times. This is one song I really consider to be one of the greatest to ever exist... I feel like I've posted it before, but I guess I haven't after searching through the forum a bit. This song's by The Delgados, a pretty lesser known band that ended up disbanding due to being unsuccessful, unfortunately... They had a pretty unique style of music that focuses on messages and realities of life. And here is the beautiful masterpiece of a song, The Light Before We Land:
I don't know... The song just sounds so nostalgic. And it's a bit depressing, as it's about wanting to return to good times of the past that are gone into reality. Yet the song is so peaceful and bittersweet, even dreamy, with echoing vocals, and a prominent beat that's even obsessive at parts, and grinding/strange noises kinda like time whirring by, and even somehow upbeat. This song is almost like a dream, really...
Or someone let me know if it's just pure nostalgia at work for me here, with the certain memories it brings to me of great times on a certain game. But I feel like it's much more than just nostalgia.
Edit: I wonder if anyone noticed this post up till now where the link wasn't working.

One of those songs that can take you back to some memories, or just the peaceful side of life... I've always loved this song from the start of Final Fantasy X where it plays, Tidus' Theme. I don't really have much to say for this one... But I think it's such a nice song:

A song that will take you back to your sweetest memories, longing for a return... Memorial Days:
It's used in Gundam AGE, if that matters to anyone. Hm, I kind of want to cry...

Well, I didn't give up on this... I actually just forgot. I've been playing a lot of SRW J, Warframe, and Star Conflict, and I always end up playing something all night so that I forget. Sometimes I remember when it's already too late.. But anyway, here's the next song!
It's a song I've posted here before. I mean, some time ago on another topic. But it's really one of the nicest songs out there to me. It's also the ED to the Devil May Cry anime, which I think fits it perfect when every episode is basically a slice-of-life moral, with the lesson learned right at the end, and then this song plays. It's true, the DMC anime really is a bit of a goody-goody thing despite its premise and rather mature battle scenes. So here it is, by Rin Oikawa, I'll Be Your Home: If you're interested, she sings other songs under the band name Q;indivi. And I'll probably post a Q;indivi song or two later on in this topic. But yep, I really love this song, beautiful melody and great message.
