Chapter 24 is not fair...on luna+. Just about every turn you have every fort spitting troops out at you that move before you do, and you have to plug them REALLY quickly since, unlike other missions where this isn't a problem, this isn't a "defeat commander."

I'm going to speedrun this game. I've decided. 1. Because I want ten MUs to use for a streetpass team (unfortunately this means I'll have to sacrifice up to 5 minutes of the run just so I can grab boots for the first several runs.) 2. Because I love this game. 3. Because this game can be absurdly short. (With Renown I've seen runs done in 35 minutes. Without it I've seen it done in about 50.)

A bit later, I finished my first speedrun! I lost a lot of time in chapters 23 and 24, and through fumbling through menus, and like I thought, a couple minutes with boots (which may have been worth it since I was able to 2-turn chapter 21.) but oh well...since I can't show proof of my time beating the game, here's my time when reaching the last chapter. My final time was 1:08:51. I quit timing at the moment you lose control of your characters, the moment Grima is defeated and you choose whether to let Chrom inflict the final blow or not. No renown, DLC, or Spotpass data was used, and as you can see, I did it on Normal/Casual. Oh, and the only characters I used were FeMU/Chrom (the entire game) Ricken (Ch.5-6) Flavia/Basilio (Ch.23-24) Olivia (Ch.11,19,20,21,25) Frederick (Prologue-Ch.3, 17, 20.) Lucina (Ch.17) and Panne (Ch.6)

And I have a new time, slightly better than the old one at 1:04:37. General thoughts; uhh, the game went smoother in general due to more of knowing what I was doing and the fact that I now know a strategies to finish Chapters 23 and 24 much quicker. (My Chapter 24 turn count last playthrough was in the double digits. This time it was 3.) HOWEVER, I stumbled through some of the early game, made a couple stupid mistakes, and was MUCH less lucky with my MU's stats. While last game my Magic stat was massive, this game her Magic was horrendous. Overall I cut off more than I gained and it was a slightly better run. I almost made Grima in sub-1 hour, which would be a cool thing to do as just a sort of thing I can post on Miiverse to show off.

Erstwhile, I simply sit and lament the wasted potential of the DLC classes and the lack of proper monster classes. Exp Goody Bags barely even count as combat units outside of the two story tall ones.
Eh, it was good fun while it lasted back at release.

Eh, it was good fun while it lasted back at release. It still can be. The gameplay is top notch.

I did my fair share of playthroughs, including the DLC. One the one hand, I might indeed be tempted if they were brazen enough to release an update or a new season of DLC at this point. On the other hand, I am just as content to begin experimenting with the earlier games - for instance, I still need to try out Fire Emblem 2:Gaiden and Fire Emblem 4:Genealogy of the Holy War, both very different from Awakening. Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn are, strangely enough, not very high on my list despite the fact that I would like to try out the Laguz units and the Reinforce civilian skill - it's mostly a matter of taste at work.

They should be, not for skills but for the story.
