Speaking of which, Dethy, if you want to find those two, Axew's in the zubat-or-something cave as an uncommon encounter it seems, and Absol is just outside of its Western exit as a seemingly common encounter. Ironically enough, after my last post I went back through route 8 to beat some trainers because I was about 7 levels underleveled for the next gym and immediately ran into an Absol. And then fought a trainer with an Axew. Pawniards are found on route 15 in 'the lost hotel' you can see it on the map. ... That, however, I am nowhere near having any way of knowing about. Starting to think I should just avoid this thread until I have literally everything in the game.

So I spent several hundred-thousand pokedollars on clothes then it hits midnight where I live. A brand new set of clothes to buy appears, all at similar prices. Mere pallete swaps but I want them all! Specially that black felt hat. Goddamit game, you're bleeding me dry. Then you have the audacity to ask for tips! Most of my pokemon are at level 50 now because the resteraunts have absurdly weak level 30 pokemon in triple battles that give out a lot of experience and money (including mushrooms) I'm starting to get the feeling that nintendo should have acomodated for all the ways in which they improved the rate at which your pokemon level. I've been overlevled for all the gym leaders (including the first) with a full team of equally strong pokemon, most of which I don't even get to use. (Because I use one pokemon with an amulet coin on it.) Bear in mind that I haven't bothered with super training. I hope the late game gets tougher. This is the easiest pokemon I've played so far. Then again only the elite 4 is known for being truly difficult in this series, that and catching legendaries I guess, and some infamous gym leaders who didn't bother me that much.

Ok Claxus I got a pawniard. level 36, female, naive nature, defiant ability. That was just the first one I caught (and ran into, luckily) though I don't suppose you care since you plan on breeding. I'm ready to trade whenever. Will we need to trade 3DS friend codes? Haven't really paid attention to this game's online features. I'd challenge you to a battle as well, but I'm waaay over leveled...

But not with Claxus. While waiting for Claxus a passerby challenged me, and mopped the floor with me. Damn. Makes me want to recreate my team from scratch.

I just spent MUCH longer than I should have done making a 10 second long trainer PR video. Geez, I should get around to that essay.

All the mega evolutions.
Won't say more than a couple, watch the video for yourself. But Mawile and Banette are my favorites.

^ Something tells me that you already know which megaevolution you want. Also it's amazing how HUGE most of them are. I've only got the small ones right now, like Lucario, and even venasaur's is pretty small in comparison to a few of these. I'm probably going to get myself Mega abomasnow. Already got the relevant stone and a Snover in training. It was also my first time seeing mega aerodactyl and it looks amazing.
Also, Steve, pro tip- play super training to max out all EVs and then some if you plan on getting Aegislash within the next millennium. You can look up why if you want but death eye may be watching.

ohmygod mega lucario is so king gainerDid Absol get buffed or something? All of mine have, by far, the highest attack of all my Pokemon. My first one that I super trained only a little bit, had 90 attack at level 20! And it had a nature that lowered its attack! I have another one around level 22 with a little over 60 attack, not super trained. Yet my Pawniard barely made it to 50 attack at the same level with super training, and a non-stat-affecting nature. Most of my others are barely around 50 attack. Oh yeah, Absol also pretty much has 30s and 40s on every other stat. A lot of my other Pokemon have around 20-30s. I don't know a whole lot about how stats work, but what's with my Absols being superior to all my Pokemon in every way?

Mega Evolutions AKA Extra spikes and bulky/flowy bits. Mega Manetric lol.
I like how Pinsir is no longer the derpy bug pokemon without wings, and Kangaskahn's mega evolution is actually evolving the baby Kangaskahn. Banette mega confirmed for creepy doll thing. I thought Banette was the Pokemon that used to be human but got trapped inside a Pokemon, but apparently it was always just a doll?

Anyway if your Absol is THAT strong then I'm terrified to think what might happen when you get his megastone.

To quote the BW2 pokedex entry: A doll that became a Pokémon over its grudge of being thrown away. It seeks the child who disowned it.

I can't keep this in any longer- Team flare and their boss have got to be my favorite pokemon antagionists ever. Yeah, more than team plasma even. So glad Nintendo gave the story a shot here. (Although, B/W had better pacing and a better hook) I'll go into why in some kind of essay thing some other time.
Also, very important- apparently saving in Lumoise city breaks your game. So try not to do that.

Better than team Plasma in a way... They'd actually be awesome if they were stylish like they obsess about. Hipsters wearing pure bright orange clothes and bright orange goggles and bright orange hair with hippie haircuts... That just disgraces stylish.
Well, I've gotten the 6th badge, and am at the snowy town. Got Talonflame, Sigilyph, Pawniard, Golett, Emolga, and HARIYAMA! It's a team I'm pretty satisfied with, not very one-sided in strengths or weaknesses and decent coverage, but I feel like I really need water somewhere. Hariyama is so awesome. Who says it's sumo? It's like a giant fighting mech. The guy tanks with a huge HP and Attack, and high defense on both stats. I feel as awesome as Ash bringing out Charizard when I bring out Vavel!
There's an item that can burn your Pokemon, isn't there? I know there's toxic orb at least which I already have... I can't wait 'till whenever I find that supposed item that can change your Pokemon's ability. My Hariyama has Thick Fat, but with Guts... Self inflicting poison will give him a huge 50% increase in damage. And he has the attack Smelling Salts, which works perfectly alongside my Emolga who can paralyze with an attack or Static!
That said... Any luck finding Volt Switch TM? It's my favorite move, but Emolga is one of the very few (two?) that learn it naturally.
Oh, and just two more levels 'till Golurk! I might die of happiness once I see its huge 3D model in a fight.
And one last thing, why does Pawniard suck?!

What happened to your Pawniard I thought he was supposed to be good? Anyway, you'll soon see why team flare is awesome.
I have no idea what I'm doing with my team at the moment. Except I'm training up an Aerodactyl since Megadactyl is really cool. I'm using a level 56 Yveltal, but he's actually one of my weakest pokemon considering I have a level 71 malamar, 67 Greninja, 70 tyrantrum, 68 Aegislash, and finally that aerodactyl. Also tried using mega abomasnow for a while but ice types aren't my playstyle and hail has absolutely no benefits on my team. Anyway. Arriving at the last gym leader now, so hopefully I'll have everything together and organized by the elite 4. I'm paying far more attention to my fashion right now then my team.
Speaking of the legendary, when fighting him I brought him down to red in a turn or two and then... well, I threw a single dusk ball at it and caught it with the very first pokeball. Easiest. Legendary. Capture. Ever.

The legendaries in BW2 were the same, weren't they? The battle was a joke, and I caught it with a normal Pokeball at yellow HP. The ones you're supposed to get are just easy mode.
Well, Pawniard... I dunno, he's my favorite Pokemon, it's just he's always felt terrible. First of all, his three weaknesses are glaring ones, especially the 4x one to fighting. Sure, he's got tons of resistance but, fighting, ground, and fire are extremely common. Besides that, his stats seem so lackluster for a physical fighter... Sure, Bisharp's a bit better on that but still, the main problem I find is his moveset... His best attacks all the way to level 49 are Feint Attack and Metal Claw. Feint Attack at level 17, and before that, his only attacks are Scratch and Fury Cutter... Though low levels don't really matter.
He learns Slash all the way at 30... That's three generic physical attacks so far (aside from the chance attack boost on Metal Claw I've never gotten despite how much I use it), and this ones pointless because his other two are way better with STAB and he's no good with crits.
Just look at his movepool! It's filled with a bunch of crappy stat moves! Like, Metal Sound, why the heck does a Pawniard nerf Special defense?! Torment, the filler Leer, Scary Face (decent but not very relevant), and Embargo... And Assurance...
Iron Defense at 46. Not that bad, but that's a pretty late time to get it and rather redundant on Pawniard. And finally, Night Slash at 49! No complaints except how late it took for him to get a move 10 points stronger than Feint Attack. Iron Head at 54... Great move, but the flinching may never see the light due to its very average speed, and it's all the way at 54. Swords Dance at 57 and Guillotine at 62 (or 63/71 evolved). Great buff if he can manage to survive, due to his combination of being one-shotted by fighting that tons of stuff has, and very crappy Sp. Def.. And Guillotine? God mode attack, if you want to play a massive game of luck and win.
So Night Slash and Iron Head are pretty typical physical attacks, and really his only two attacks he would use (not that he gets very many). His Attack isn't exceptional as Bisharp to make up for it either. The rest is a bunch of filler moves that have very little to no use on him...
... Tl;dr if Pawniard/Bisharp is anything more than amazing looks please help me see the light.

I beat the game. Party ranging in level from 57-62. Game time 28:00.
Not all that hard. Even with half the types in the game OHKOing half my team like what always happens to me in these games.
