Just started hitting the 40s unfortunately. Ok. I'll go give the elite 4 a hard time then.

ohmygod mega lucario is so king gainerDid Absol get buffed or something? All of mine have, by far, the highest attack of all my Pokemon. My first one that I super trained only a little bit, had 90 attack at level 20! And it had a nature that lowered its attack! I have another one around level 22 with a little over 60 attack, not super trained. Yet my Pawniard barely made it to 50 attack at the same level with super training, and a non-stat-affecting nature. Most of my others are barely around 50 attack. Oh yeah, Absol also pretty much has 30s and 40s on every other stat. A lot of my other Pokemon have around 20-30s. I don't know a whole lot about how stats work, but what's with my Absols being superior to all my Pokemon in every way? You underestimate Absol. Absol's attack stat is monstrous, it's just its other stats weigh it down. The legendaries in BW2 were the same, weren't they? The battle was a joke, and I caught it with a normal Pokeball at yellow HP. The ones you're supposed to get are just easy mode. Well, Pawniard... I dunno, he's my favorite Pokemon, it's just he's always felt terrible. First of all, his three weaknesses are glaring ones, especially the 4x one to fighting. Sure, he's got tons of resistance but, fighting, ground, and fire are extremely common. Besides that, his stats seem so lackluster for a physical fighter... Sure, Bisharp's a bit better on that but still, the main problem I find is his moveset... His best attacks all the way to level 49 are Feint Attack and Metal Claw. Feint Attack at level 17, and before that, his only attacks are Scratch and Fury Cutter... Though low levels don't really matter. He learns Slash all the way at 30... That's three generic physical attacks so far (aside from the chance attack boost on Metal Claw I've never gotten despite how much I use it), and this ones pointless because his other two are way better with STAB and he's no good with crits. Just look at his movepool! It's filled with a bunch of crappy stat moves! Like, Metal Sound, why the heck does a Pawniard nerf Special defense?! Torment, the filler Leer, Scary Face (decent but not very relevant), and Embargo... And Assurance... Iron Defense at 46. Not that bad, but that's a pretty late time to get it and rather redundant on Pawniard. And finally, Night Slash at 49! No complaints except how late it took for him to get a move 10 points stronger than Feint Attack. Iron Head at 54... Great move, but the flinching may never see the light due to its very average speed, and it's all the way at 54. Swords Dance at 57 and Guillotine at 62 (or 63/71 evolved). Great buff if he can manage to survive, due to his combination of being one-shotted by fighting that tons of stuff has, and very crappy Sp. Def.. And Guillotine? God mode attack, if you want to play a massive game of luck and win. So Night Slash and Iron Head are pretty typical physical attacks, and really his only two attacks he would use (not that he gets very many). His Attack isn't exceptional as Bisharp to make up for it either. The rest is a bunch of filler moves that have very little to no use on him... ... Tl;dr if Pawniard/Bisharp is anything more than amazing looks please help me see the light. Pawniard, I say no. Pawniard is not great at all. Bisharp, however... Bisharp has a very nice attack stat, a good defense stat, NINE resistances, two immunities, with 3 weaknesses, which while they are to common types...the thing has immunity to psychic, resistance to dragon, dark, and ghost, also very commonly used types. While Bisharp's low level movepool is rather average, its best moves come from high level, TMs, and egg moves. Bisharp is blessed with moves along the likes of pursuit, sucker punch, swords dance, shadow claw, night slash, and iron head, all of which are actually very good moves. However, two of the best ones (Sucker punch and Pursuit) are egg moves.
Bisharp's full potential lies in his egg moves, but even without them, a level 63+ Bisharp is a very good pokemon indeed.
EDIT: by the way. Look at mega gengar. Yes, it looks amazing, but... THEY GAVE IT SHADOW TAG!!!
It's official, Game freak doesn't care. Giving Gengar Shadow Tag is just suicide. However, they did give Mega Banette Prankster. This pleases me.

Old new Steve, and don't worry Shadow tag got a minor nerf. It doesn't effect ghost type pokemon. Aegislash, you just get better and better.
Oh, I also found out the dark, bitter secret of Lumoise city. There's actually a hidden 'stylishness' value that increases as you do stuff in Lumoise city. It has nothing to do with your actual appearance, and provides more benefits then just being granted access to the Lumoise botique. This seemed to be detailed in the strategy guide, but not exactly in game... For example some of the highest, hardest to get rewards are an extra O-Power and a coupon for discounts (possibly? Not entirely sure about that one, actually, though NPCs do make it clear that a coupon exists somewhere.)
Oh and Claxus, you'll run into volt switch eventually. It'll be difficult to miss.

Sure it's old news, but it just hasn't been mentioned. Also, this makes it just like Arena Trap, which is still a crazy ability. This does also give Drifiblim a niche as the only pokemon uneffected by both of these. EDIT: actually, there's a lot of ghosts with levitate. Never mind.

Mega Gengar has a base 170 Special Attack. For the record, that's almost as much as Deoxys; Attack form.
EDIT: Inkay's evolution process is hilarious. To quote serebii... Method: Level 30, rotate the 3DS upside-down upon level up. Just...what? EDIT2: Mega Ampharos is the most majestic dragon type ever.

Yeah, it felt really weird to turn that DS upside down when I was evolving mine. I was wondering what would happen if I didn't... I mean, I knew it wouldn't evolve, but... oh never mind.

So it seems I was right about Aeigislash. As a matter of fact, his movepool is even better than I thought it would be, as he gets moves like Shadow Sneak, Swords Dance, Secret Sword, Automotize, and a special Protect that lowers attack of people who make contact. As a matter of fact, I like all the new "protect" moves they've made. King's Sheild, Spike Shield...it's really cool actually. Looking at Doublade's stats though, I may actually just make a Doublade. 150 Defense with Eviolite sounds very tempting to me.

And yes, kings shield is absolutely ridiculous in how good it is. Also it learns sacred sword, not secret sword.

Anyway, after spending five hours cleaning my room...I received $20. I already had 20, so I now have enough to buy Pokemon X. Will get ASAP.

I got y today. I must say that while i havent gotten very far, it has been enjoyable. The fact that i found a pidgey a caterpie and a weedle in the first 15 min was very nostalgic. And i enjoy seeing the pokes in 3D. And not like over done 3D like in stadium or battle revolution or any of those.
But hand held 3D? Idk its a rather exciting experience.

You just got Y, I just beat Y. What a beautiful ending, best story in a pokemon game by far. It was also the easiest however. I soloed the champion with nothing but my Aegislash. Pro tip metal- turn the EXP share off as soon as you get it for a more enjoyable and challenging experience.

So how's that Volt Switch? Finally found info on it, apparently it's a Battle Maison prize? But that's post-game, and pretty easy to 'miss.' Did you find it somewhere else?
Oh, Golurk with Fly is great.

Oh, Golurk with Fly is great. Hehe, yeah it's a battle mansion prize only. But since you'll end up there and look through the prizes, then yeah I don't think you'll miss it.

I forgot to mention, i am slightly irate that the game needs... nee adamantly requires an sd card to even operate. I bought the game, then had to turn around and go back to town to buy an sd card because no where in the instructions or the case does it notify you that you need one for it to operate. So that hampered my initial enjoyment. Alas i am trying to cut back on gaming on my days off, as 1. I beat games to quickly because i no life them. Thusly requiring me to buy more. Which is not good, because i actually have things to do on my day off and i am trying to save my money for tuition. And 2. I need to save my money. And at some point clean out my auto err car... (i was hoping itd sound more sophisticated. Maybe...) And next week i have to buy new brakes for the front end of said car... Sigh dont ever own a car. They are just money dumps. And they slowly begin dying immediately after thier creation. Almost like a person really. Anywho, bleh this thread isnt the place for all this, and y is probably the last new game i was gonna get for awhile anyways... In summation metal out. Off to the cinema 6 to see the new wolverine movie with the chums and what not. Later guys.

Admittedly Spike Shield is about that cool, but that's still mildly hilarious.

Halfway at 7:30 time. My team actually has not changed at all, except now my Honedge, Quilladin, Wartortle, and Combusken have evolved. Funny thing though, my Chesnaught, Blastoise, and Duoblade are all lv. 36. My Snorlax is 34...and my Blaziken is 44.

Starting Victory Road. Except I can't decide my team... I was about to go in with the same team I mentioned before, except Fletchinder and Hariyama switched out for Accelgor and Mawile.
So, my team right now is: Bisharp, Emolga, Golurk, Sigilyph, Mawile, Accelgor.
Problem is, a few feet in, the game rubbed it in my face that I don't have Surf and need it. Strangely enough, strayed upon a Floatzel accidentalky, one of my favorites. And a Scyther. Something has to go for Floatzel, and Scyther is an extremely attractive choice because of how amazing it is in 3D, was my favorite back in Gen 1, has Technician, and can use U-Turn.
Yes, I love Volt Switch and U-Turn. But anyway, that's a tough choice... I was thinking Accelgor and Sigilyph can go for both, but maybe it's redundant to have Scyther and Bisharp and Mawile... All physicals weak to fire among other things. And Sigilyph is a pretty strong backbone for the team with support and power.
But I love Bisharp, Golurk, Emolga, and Mawile...

Also, until you can get Mega Mawile, (it's post-game) ditch it.
