Man, I just got Punch Out (Wii) today for Platinum Status on Club Nintendo. This game explains so much story in so few words. It's brimming with personality with gorgeous animation and tight, intense gameplay...it's quickly become one of my favorite games of all time. Oh, but why I'm here. The music is great too.
I'm honestly really dissapointed that the second of those isn't in Sm4sh. Honestly, this game...I loved the original Punch Out, but this game has revived my love for Little Mac. Really makes me want to try maining him again in Sm4sh.

I've seen a full lets play of that game, but it seems like playing and watching are two completely different experiences. It was fun regardless.

Man, I'm so unbelievably hyped for Mario Kart 8 - F-Zero edition. 200cc, we've already got two F-Zero courses...why not? But seriously, this music. This DLC has so much love put into it it's incredible.

God that music is awesome. Seeing all of game explains videos on the Mario Kart DLC makes me really excited for the next installment of MK as well, which I will definitely be picking up. All the DLC has basically convinced me that the next MK will basically be Nintendo kart- Smash Bros but a racing game. Also, finally found this ending song with lyrics. All of the songs on youtube seem to have been blocked or muted, and this is just great. The opening is great too (Bump of Chicken!) but I can't seem to find it right now, and I like the ED more.

I'm all for that; anything to let me play as Kirby in a racing game. I think you really should just buy MK8 with the DLC though. 73 dollars for what is easily the best installment in the series. I wouldn't be surprised if more DLC was announced at E3 too. Wii U Math: Smash Bros + Cars + Saxophone = Mario Kart 8 Mario Kart 8 - Saxophone = Mario Party 10 Mario Party 10 - Cars = Smash Bros Smash Bros + RTS elements = Wonderful 101

Oh god, what can't I share from this game?
That's a good start. A powerful, awesome theme exemplifying true justice and determination. However this isn't even a boss theme most people will ever hear on a regular, blind playthrough. Hell, it's not even something most people will hear on a playthrough where you know what they're doing. Because most people are good people, and when this song plays, it isn't cheering you on.
Not me though, it seems, I was too curious. And I'll have to live with the consequences forever.
The wind is howling...

The entire Turnabout Jazz Soul album is amazing, but let's just let my Godot love come through here again and I'll post this. Check out the rest of the album too.

^YEEEEEESS Turnabout Jazz Soul and Gyakuten Meets Orchestra are basically my default study music albums. I've learned the bassline for the original Godot theme track, too Ugh I love this track so much. The balance of moods is just perfectly timed the whole way through and the way the Turnabout Sisters theme explodes onto the scene with the strings descant is so gorgeous

This song makes me happy and gives me feels.
Long intro, 0:55 if you want to skip to the main stuff (buildup is gud though).
But to be able to live in a time where such an amazing blend of musical culture can exist... I mean, Babymetal alone is proof of that (they combine metal and J-Pop), but the main instrumentals of this song are played (and written) by DragonForce's musicians themselves. DragonForce is an English speed metal band, for the record.
And I think it's just awesome to have music like this literal blend of styles and musicians. 2:04 and the ending really gets to me, when both styles, the English metal and J-Pop are in full blast together.

Might as well plug some indie bands I've been into lately. Preemptive vulgarity warning. First is Free Parking! They've got an alternative, occasionally punk-ish sound that's a little rough/low quality but they're catchy enough that I don't mind it too much. Songs: Girlfriend's Friends This Voyage My Girlfriend is a Serial Killer Oblio, I know I've posted their Lilly song (Non-acoustic version here) in the past. Still my favorite of their songs, but I like pretty much everything else they've made. I guess they're grungy alternative rock. Songs: Burning Girl. It's a Hanako song The Suit Low Expectations Last is Chasing After Alice, a local (not really but same state counts, right?) metalcore band. It doesn't go as hard as I usually like since their vocalist doesn't do screams, but she has an amazing enough voice that more than makes up for it IMO. Songs: This One's For You Empty Drowned

This song is like another plane of existence...
Or maybe it's just me... Because there's certainly nostalgia in it. It was about the first time in my childhood that I felt so attached to a game as a way to live out my own fantasy adventure.
But it sounds so dreamy and ethereal... and I say that's a song well accomplished, it sounds a lot like the fleeting dream and wish of utopia the lyrics describe...
