Agreed, I'm a huge fan of the Dark Pit stage theme.

So this opening was basically the only thing I like about Kimi No Uso.
I mean, the animation is above average, but I can't get over the fish-lipped character design.
Also, Clax and I have mentioned this somewhere within the ocean of text that has become the Persona 4 Arena thread. (we have moved to PM now, Steve)
Glorious. Ikutski's got nothing on Adachi.

This is a a really different kind of Tales Opening. The game is out in Japan and I'm trying to keep spoilers to a minimum, from the looks of things the localisation process should be much smoother than it has been since Graces.
Ufotable also made a special 40 minute OVA at the beginning of the year, which was pretty good, so I'm really excited for this. Seems like a return to Tales form. Much as I liked Xillia 2, it was good in a similar way to how something like, say, Persona is good. Hopefully Zestria will be a return to Vesperia or Symphonia quality, though I doubt it will reach the heights of Abyss. Plus, I have the best times ever playing through these games with my currently Wales-bound buddy.

One of the perks of being a big bad in a series as long as Mario; you consistently get themes that instill epicness, beauty, and fear all in one. Some of the stuff in that spoiler will be remixes that I think are better than the original because of...well, age, for some of them, but yeah, Bowser's got some pretty great music going for him. WARNING: There's like 20 videos in that spoiler. Open at your own risk.
^That one's probably my second favorite of the bunch.
I prefer the original for it's more solemn sound, but they're both very solid.
Lolzy fight, great music there though. (I won't say it's epic though, but I say it's one of the better Bowser themes and it's still a better fight than SMG2 by far. At least this one has some amount of challenge to it.)
No words are nessecary.
I'd say no words are nessecary, but this is my favorite Bowser theme by far. It conveys a level of epic that none of the others can reach, though SM64 comes pretty close. The deep, resounding bell sounds and the drums along with that melody...one listen tells you one thing. This is it.
Untilyougettoworld9thatis
Sonic 06 of final bosses. Fantastic music...terrible fight. Ganon CDI levels of bad. (Okay, not that bad, but it is pretty much that easy.)
If you've been here awhile, you know I like this one and how much Al and I gushed about this theme. It's pretty great.
Best Mario game (tied with sunshine). I know that's a bold claim, but it is, and I love both games for completely different reasons. I like how, since this final boss is an autoscroller, they got to build up the music as you head up the tower. It makes for an awesome effect when you're playing it. Meowser is just so sad though.
MAKE ROOM, HIS GRUMPINESS APPROACHES! Oh how I love TTYD, and even with all this song's...weird sound choices, it oozes a feeling of "respect this guy even though he's comic relief this time around."
Mentioning of TTYD...this gauntlet of battles at the end of the game destroyed me as a kid because I failed at games and liiiiife. This theme is just so high-energy.
I could dig up more...but I think that's plenty.

I have a new favorite Smooth acapella.
I got so many chills the first time I heard this. Like...chills about every 15 seconds. I get chills from music, but this was just so amazing.

... This game is already 1562% better than Persona 2.

EDIT: I had every single Mario Kart credit theme here, but instead I found this video that has them all except 8 (by far the best) I just love these so much. They're all fantastic, and I feel like they just got better, my favorites being 8, then Wii, then Double Dash. Super Circuit's probably my least favorite, but that's mostly because of the poor audio. I just...I love these credit themes so much!

I really like the 64 ending theme... But Super Mario 64's ending credits are still my favorite of any Mario game. Not sure if that's just nostalgia, but... That song is just so chill and tends to make me think of a lot of things. Since I've finally remembered to go on about Soul Sacrifice...
I've kept meaning to share this one. I wonder how many times I've been moved by this song. I can't remember. I'm not sure if this song is as beautiful as it is to me to others, without knowing all the heart-touching context with it... Even simply listening to it now surges emotion in me... And makes me think not only of the game's story, but also about, well, life itself, and memories. That's a big part of what the game was about, too... The song plays in many moments and it got to me every time. The bit past 0:45... Ugh.
Funny how it ended up like that since I only got the game for the gameplay. Even nearly dropped the game because I'm not fond of the monster design or abundant blood/death themes, but it's really a legendary tale that makes you really think about life and is much more meaningful behind its covers.
And speaking of credits, the game credits play a vocal version of that song, go figure... I'm not sure if I was about to cry because of the story and that song, or because I'd no longer get to experience any more of it...

Oh hey I didn't know you had a Vita. Oh hey, Soul Sacrifice, isn't that a Keiji Inafune game? Cool cool. Whatever happened to That Totally-Not-Megaman game he was making? I should get a vita. But first I need a PS4 and world domination.
Not especially meaningful as sacrifice soul... I mean, pianos are inherently meaningful and emotional, this song lacks pianos, but this is still a pretty good song.

TOME's got a really solid soundtrack. One I can't find on youtube called "Survive the Drama" is really good, and my favorite is probably "Awaken the Beast". Has like the most epic flute/piano part at the end of anything ever. Sounds so suspensful (fitting considering when it plays.)
EDIT: And then for something completely different, how about an acapella version of a great song:

So good that I must post again. This is relevant. So I'm super hype to play Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. It's a sequel to the already great Canvas Curse, and the music... So many beautiful and awesome remixes. ...just listen for yourself.
It's so sad that so many of the themes don't even play in the game...what a waste. Still seems very fun and amazing as a kirby fan though. (Clax get a wii u already, gosh.) EDIT: Oh hey I didn't know you had a Vita. Oh hey, Soul Sacrifice, isn't that a Keiji Inafune game? Cool cool. Whatever happened to That Totally-Not-Megaman game he was making? You must have missed all of his Freedom Wars fanboying. Also, Mighty No. 9? That's still a thing.

Basically perfect. Contains nudity, creepy imagery, the metaphorical abyss, and Hideaki Anno. Discretion is advised. Lyrics without visuals.... I'm really lonely.

I've seen worse, but wow, I definitely thought you were joking. The closest thing I can compare that to is Dye-Fantasy's music video. They give off very similar vibes and similar amounts of...ech. EDIT: Steve says nop. Got more than enough discussion on this. What I will say is this: It's a very profound video, and a very noticeable one due to the sheer shock value. This could have been conveyed better. The message is solid, but the explicit content was unnecessary.

It's not particularly hard to understand if you look past your disgust. It's against Waifu fandoms, becoming obsessed with anime, and synthetic relationships in general. Symbols are like words, you just have to learn the language, and it's one of the easiest and most universal out there aside from body language.

I got more of a "falling victim to lust will consume your life" kind of vibe, but I can see why you'd see that. Well, both are true in a way. The character certainly seems to be valuing the body over the mind which leads to the complications in the implied relationship. You'll notice how the video starts by panning across his very otaku hikkikimori room, including his Eva girl figures, and how the actual music video starts by zooming into the TV, implying a media connection, not to mention the part where the girl comes out of the TV breasts first. Of course the girls themselves couldn't be much more moe if they tried. What looks cute, innocent, and fun is actually sleazy and manipulative, and this ideal of the perfect girl ends up consuming him to the detriment of real relationships.

I posted something by this guy before, but he remastered his remastering of a great song that Clax and I are all too familiar with...give it a listen.

... First minute's kind of filler. 0:50 to 1:05, time to scramble! Massive snake dragon. Like, it just slithers around the mountains you're on and it feels like a planet is moving around you. It's like facing an angered god... The music is so grand and passively chaotic... You're just chasing around trying to fight a continent of a monster as its slightest movements shake the earth around you, you can barely tell what's going on, everywhere you look you see silver, slithery scales, as far and as large as the eye can see. Oh, and azure meteors constantly crashing down everywhere. But the little part at 1:45... I just lost it. It's too beautiful. So... Classic. Unexpectedly, the feels train! Such a menacing song suddenly gleams with hope, as you remember that no matter what, the strength of one's bonds are more powerful than anything...

I find Monster Hunter music bland personally, I remember the town themes the most for some reason. Maybe it's because I'm keeping the volume down low and paying attention to the sound effects more than the music. There's no music, no matter how well composed, that will turn me off faster than traditional orchestral music. It's the same with choirs.
Dalamadur gets smaller every time I fight him. His only threatening attack is the meteors.

I was feeling miserable and decided to watch Evangelion 3.33. It's a very good movie.
I know what I want to do with myself for the time being, and what I want to be doing in a broad sense. I'm going to do something with this empty time I've been filling with meaningless fantasies and 'what ifs'. At least, that's what I'll be telling myself.
