^ Well that was definitely... sound.
I finished a game, Disgaea 4, so I'll now post some obligatory music from the game.
This song gets stuck in my head like nothing else. All hail Lelouch Valvatorez sardines!
One character gets two of the best themes.
This theme is also insanely catchy. I never thought a song with lyrics comprised solely of 'la' could be such an entertaining listen.
Final boss music, where choirs, of course, take precedence over everything else.
This game was a lot of fun... and it's post game is massive, I feel as though I've barely scratched the surface.

That's how I felt, both by that garbage of a main theme (which is a shame too since the original is platforming beauty), and...well, everything you just posted. That stuff was not pleasing to listen to. But hey, you like what you like. It's just not my style.

Did you really have to quote my post so that all the videos got duplicated?
I don't really like Arcadian Vampire, the first song. It's the kind of song that will never leave my head, as it's played constantly in the hub area. (I nearly jumped for joy when I got the option to change BGMS) Fuka's theme would be similar if it were played for more than one battle in the game. I was just posting notable music from a game I'd just played. The soundtrack wasn't all that remarkable, but I find Axel's themes to be genuinely awesome.

Oh yeah, there was this.
Holy mecharoni.
Don't mind me, I'll just die for a few minutes imagining soaring through Xenoblade's grand world in a mecha with this song.

Yeah, it's a much more generic brand of epic.
To my understanding a bunch of people worked on Xenoblade's soundtrack. For X, only one from that group returns, and unfortunately it was not Yoko Shimomura who did the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack among many other (and probably also better) soundtracks. X gives us Hiroyuki Sawano, who did Attack on Titan and Aldnoah Zero recently, but both their soundtracks were rather forgettable despite their huge amount of epic-sounding vocal themes. More importantly, he did Kill La Kill's soundtrack, which has one of the better overall soundtracks of any anime I can recall in recent memory. Unfortunately I can't think of a single soundtrack that I like more overall than just a single song in Xenoblade, at least when it comes to the high action pieces, since Sawano doesn't seem to compose notable subtle or atmospheric pieces. Oh well. I'll cut off my own finger and feed it to my cat if XCX's soundtrack is better than the first game.
In fact, I'll be shocked if the game is better in general, I'm only expecting better graphics and a better battle system/more content. But in terms of story and overall charm? Good luck with that. As far as I'm concerned the game has kneecapped itself with the more generic premise and the silent protagonist. Then again I thought the same thing of Ludger, and he and Xillia 2 were bloody amazing, but XCX hasn't mentioned anything about choice yet, which surely would be the only reason to have a silent protagonist in the first place...

That's the only reason. Besides multiplayer. Not that it's confirmed yet, but the whole setup of the game is really screaming multiplayer, and there's a lot of other hints to it (number of players TBA). I don't get this generic thing either. Xenoblade's title theme is a soft piano piece like 75% of the JRPGs out there, why is this song generic? If anything, it's pretty rare to see such a symphonic choir song like it as an actual theme. But scratch that for now, people are jumping the gun calling it the main theme, it hasn't been confirmed as such, it's the trailer song that released on the website. But anyway, I won't compare the two songs, I love them both, and if this was the main theme, it fits what X is shaping up to be. That is, about exploring a vast new land, and soaring across the clouds of the massive world in a mech... Or driving through the valleys in a giant robot carmotorcycle. I wouldn't expect it to be the next Xenoblade, because there's a lot of emphasis on open-ness in X. If you watched the old direct where they played like over an hour, most of it was just traveling around exploring (as part of the story). All the trailers show pretty much just exploration, instead of anything that resembles a story. Right now the story we've seen is that it's a mecha vs. unknown alien space opera, then ship crashes into unknown planet. I'm expecting more of a breathtaking experience of a space opera, rather than an epic.

Xenoblade was also about exploration, but if you're showing off a new game you wouldn't sit someone down in front of your cutscenes for the best part of an houe. Considering this game is also called Xenoblade Chronicles (X) I will absolutely form my opinions based in the context of its predecessor. It considers itself a successor, a different apple from the same tree.

The hour or so they showed in the direct wasn't just showing off, it was the first hour of the game, from character creation to all the cutscenes that ensue for that long. And it was all about exploring the unknown planet. The old trailer shows there will be some confrontation with the unknown alien race, but... If you want to judge a straight-up super-mecha space opera without a fully characterized hero, in the context of a fantasy epic, well... Do what you want, but I just got a vision of you being utterly disappointed due to expectations over a game name. And we still have no idea what the relation between the two Xenoblades is, we don't even know if it's the same universe.

I just laid out my expectations for the game, and yet you still think I'll be disappointed. I don't really get disappointed by games and other media, not even on rare occasions when the game doesn't meet expectations. I only really pay attention when the experience stands out from the norm, ie, is really good.
The game wont be good just because it has Mecha in it. Xeno games have never really impressed me with the mechas, they've just kind of existed. It will be nice to see how they implement them here, especially since the way they move across terrain will have more of a focus here.

Three months later, still one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard.
Nope, not just Blazblue hype. This one's a keeper. Song of my life.
Two facts about this song. JUST BE JUSTIIIICE is supposedly (officially) JUST BELIEVE JUSTIIIICE. It's not just an error in the video description, but... Can anyone even remotely hear that 'believe?' Second, Bang himself is singing the song.

Found a pretty good English cover of A Cruel Angel's Thesis: Saya No Uta still breaks my stomach heart, can't believe I didn't remember hearing this when I was watching this on youtube playing it. Tatami Galaxy is still as close to perfection as you can get in anime, you guys. Recently LeeandLie has been really good at making excellent English covers for openings of anime I dislike/don't really care for.

IT'S BACK!
There's some parts that I really like (even though it's corny), and others are just plain bad.

Man, I'd forgotten about this... I thought Dark Pit's theme just got old over time, but nope. It's just that the aerial battle theme of his stage is so dang cooler. I remember this was the first song I ever heard from Kid Icarus Uprising, and actually the only one because I didn't want to spoil any more music. I wonder why they went with that other version for his theme... The acoustic in this one sounds so much cleaner, much more desperado and lone wolf. And it slowly turns into a really upbeat version at 1:20 with that harmonicy vibratey synth thing (I really need to find out what that's called)... Has that awesome bass solo at 2:24, and then that crazy awesome part with the bass and harmonicy thing past 3:18. And the finale is the perfect icing on the cake. I dunno, this is just like a full blown version of his theme, which is pretty short and bland in comparison to this crazy ride. It slightly reminds me of Resonance of Fate, which has a lot of music with that harmonicy thing. Uprising's soundtrack is just pure gold... And has all kinds of genres in it. Gotta love how they turned a little enemy jingle into a full-blown orchestrated song. Slowly changes and changes... Then bang, 2:16. A little orchestra, a little rock, a little electro... Then goes full on with the crazy upbeat guitar and drums. Last 30 seconds are filler tho
