Calling Dokapon Kingdom a board game is borderline insulting. It may be under that genre, sure, but it's an incredibly strategic game that gives an incredible amount of joy and anger when played with friends. It is GOD among "Board Games", and good enough to actually be treated as a decent RPG. Also, TRG doesn't do the game justice since (save for Jon who almost always knows what he's doing) they just kind of fumble around with it. Also it's a between LPs project which means it takes forever.

What's wrong with Board games? Are you saying board games are superior to RPGs?

I'm saying that they're basically the same thing. I mean, generally speaking, you'll play a board game for the exact same reason you'd play a competitive RPG. Games are still games weather on a computer, a board, with cards, or on a green field.
Digital RPGs can have a lot more wiggle room though, most notably all the numbers can be automatically tallied by the CPU as opposed to manually which is why I'd rather play a digital game as opposed to Dungeons and Dragons. Also games such as Chess lack the asymetry usually required to keep the metagame interesting compared to fighting games or strategy games like LoL.
I think I have a better time playing Diplomacy or Risk as opposed to something like Mario Party, though.

Too much pokemon... its good music is suffocating!
This is basically the best tune to come out of survival horror.
Weren't expecting that now, were you? This always reminds me that life is pretty great. I've started whistling this on the way to campus.

Always reminds me that things are pretty great. I've started whistling this on the way to campus. That is both one of the most awesome and most hilarious things I've ever heard.

Wow, you pretty much summed up most of the game in a nutshell. It's honestly one of the most relaxing and chuckle-worthy dark comedy games I've ever played despite the zombies.

Also, even though Xenoblade isn't my favorite thing ever, I can't deny how good its music is. Al bringing up this particular BGM (it's in Smash Bros!) was what reminded me to go listen to it.
Sweet mother of potato, THAT MUSIC!

I think the only other track for the Gaur Plains stage is this: (This area and this music were my Hyrule field) Not quite as awesome as the alternative, but I still love this theme. I hope the Wii U version will include more Xenoblade music. I'm only really looking for Mechanical Rhythm (best random encounter music ever) at this point, though anything will do. Actually, Unfinished Battle is pretty iconic for me... Confrontation with the Enemy? I need to be stopped before I start flooding the thread with Xenoblade music. EDIT: One more. To the last battle.EDIT: So apparently mechanical rhythm is in the game. It's official, Smash 3DS + Wii U has the best soundtrack. Of, like, anything.

Oh hey, Claxus likes Jam project. They did the opening for a fantasy anime this season. GAAAAROOOOOO!!! Show itself is actually pretty solid too. It's kind of like a well written dark fantasy show that suddenly turns into super sentai for the action scenes for whatever reason. So far, its only real intent is to be damn fun. In other news, hey look another cheesecake show is pretending to be all super serious. First episode was ok, but I was fooled by Brynhildr last time, so I wont watch another episode. This type of opening needs to die, show itself was pretty funny though. Trigger carried over some of their best instincts to this adaptation. My tied favourite opening of the season (with Garo) isn't even on youtube for some reason... at least not sped up or audio only, and the visuals are the best part. I recommend Gugure Kokkuri-san, it's my top comedy pick for the season. I don't think I've seen a better comedy duo in anime. It really is their chemistry. Oh, and guess what I've been playing! My first Pheonix Wright game! Surprised it took me this long. Smash distracted me, but now I must stay the course! Athena for the win! EDIT: Ok so Parasyte aired today and it is the real deal. I'm blogging the heck out of this show. It's really awesome when a horror anime is actually about something and instills real horror rather than just being gratuitous gore fests.

What was wrong with that opening that needs to die?
And JAM Project is the best. Their music is all pretty much hot-blooded giant robot or Bang Shishigami or etc. music. Smash had Okkusenman remixed in one of the stage songs, and I wish this was in instead...

Its sickly and saccharine tone aside, the singer sounded really awful on some notes. Not much flair or inventiveness to the visuals either, it was just showing us the characters like it was a more typical harem show, and a bit of their super powers. Thankfully, the opening is so far the worst criticism I can throw at the show. It was pretty funny for what it is.

Hm. Why I decided to play this game again yesterday I don't know. I do know, however, that it was just as fun as I remember, albeit for very different reasons (more of mine and my friends' inability to remember how to control anything.)
