Searching Spore videos on Youtube. Found a video called "Flame Dragon Growth" (which is incorrect because that was a Fire Dragon). Searched more GF videos. Got interested.

I was over at my friends house and he was playing Gotcha Force when I showed up. He hooked me on it and I asked to borrow it. His disk turned out to be marred in an odd fashion. The game would always freeze whenever a gatling gunner or a dragon spawned. Despite this, we both became deeply attached to the game. I remember that a few days before I was playing pokemon and I was frustrated by the same thing every turn based RPG player is at one point or another. I was bummed that you couldn't freely control your characters like you can in Super Smash Bros. or Tales of Symphonia (which wasn't out then, but you get the idea). Gotcha Force really delivered there.

Gotcha Force? Time to go back to early 2004...
Used to read Nintendo Power (my friend got me into it) and saw a short two-page explaination. Sounded pretty kick ass, but I had other stuff to do. Namely, SSBM.
Fastforward a month. Got the next Nintendo Power and saw a one-page ad for Gotcha. All I could think was that some guy really wanted to sell me this game. So I went to Rogers and rented a copy.
Fastforward two months to my birthday. My dad asks me what I want and I say Gotcha Force. He knows what it is because I haven't shut up about it since I rented it two months earlier. So he goes out to all the standard video game stores. Somehow, there is not a single copy of it in the 7 odd stores we have in Burlington. Going to Rogers, he manages to buy a copy off them and gets it for my birthday.
Ended up buying their other copy for a friend's birthday present and the Rogers stopped renting games two months later. Was a shame because they had some fun games.
But yeah, got two friends hooked and got one of them a copy of the game. Also, another friend of mine just revealed that he loved Gotcha as well, so fun times are ahead. If I can get some more people into it, I could organize a tournament...

i saw a buttload of HORRIBLE reviews of the game I can bet all my rare Borgs that these people didn't even make it to the first Sho battle. People judging a whole game based on first impressions shouldn't even be allowed near a controller.

I was looking through gamecube games to rent from gamefly and this one was rated the #1 out of the gamecube games, so of course I wanted to check it out. I just recently got a kid into gotcha and he has been asking to borrow it for a while.

I read a very bad review on it at first, thats how I found out about it.
When I was out buying games, I think I was getting phantasy star online ep 1&2; I saw it at a discounted price and the front cover looked kinda cool (OK, I know, I'm a little kid who goes "WOW a miniture Robot!") so I just bought it on a whim.
Honestly, I played through the first like 5 battles then got bored and started on some other games. Came back to it eventually and got glued to it for weeks. Not sure how it happened, I think it was once I actually got to see some cool looking borgs.
Sold my gamecube close to about 10 years ago I think. Yesterday I rummaged through my stuff and found my old gamecube memory card. So I thought, what the heck and ordered a GC controller and gotcha force game to play on the wii.

My brother handed me the game and was like "Hey, go beat Sho." I tried, failed (unsurprisingly), and restarted the game to get more borgs. I played for about half an hour, said something along the lines of "I don't like it. I can't run," and he responded with something along the lines of "What are you talking about?" I said "I try to run, and I only go, like, a foot before I stop. It's AWKWARD!" Later on I picked it back up out of boredom, got a Blue Striker, and liked the way it controlled, so I kept playing, collecting Air Borgs, and using them and only them for everything on Play 1. I have no idea how I beat the Galactic Emperor... I continued like this for a while, then thought, "This is getting boring." Then I tried the other borgs. Several years later, still playing.

Hm... It was such a long time ago...
I was visiting my friend. I'd do that every now and then, though I don't visit him any more.
We were playing game cube, playing some fighting games, robot games, and then both seemed to mix. Then, while he went to look for something, he asked me to pick the next game to play.
I rummaged through his large collection of game cube games, then I saw this very odd game. "Gotcha Force"... I'd seen that before... yes, I had, at the rental store... there, I remember now. It was on a shelf... "Gotcha Force"... the concept of the game seemed intensely interesting... but something about the cover... something about the art... it just seemed... too childish. If it wasn't for that, I'd rented it... but I was too busy renting other things to try something new.
There I was, with that game I wanted to play, but felt like I'd look too childish renting it... in my hands... the game, all of it there... I had to try it. I was renown in those days for hating anything new, never wanting to try anything... but there was just something about this game, it was calling to me.
Then, my friend arrived... after a while, I told him this one, Gotcha Force. He had played it, apparently, enough to get a good amount of borgs (I would consider it tiny now, half of his main storage area was full, with weak borgs... he was still in play through 1 or 2), and I was awestruck. So much diversity, such interesting little things... I had to play it. I put on what I thought were the best borgs that fit me, just by looking at them, and fought him.
Ever since my first versus battle, I knew this was the game for me., I asked him to play through the campaign, and there we were... stuck... against Tama's satellite army. I couldn't fathom it, I was stuck! I couldn't find the strategy! I needed this game, I -had- to defeat this fat kid, and STEAL his borgs! I knew these... Fortresses... had to be mine! -I- deserved to use those giant flying monstrosities, not that spoiled brat! Then, I swore... I would get that game, and I'd get my fortress army.
Then, I finally got it... I forced myself to play... after all that time... just to get a Fortress borg... and finally... after a long time... I'd gotten it... my Fortress army that Tama had so easily just gotten by being in the game. I annihilated my friends, brought some into it, and always smashed them with Fortresses. It felt so much fun... being high in the air... bombarding them with a touch of a button. I knew this game was for me. I knew this was part of me, and I knew I had to keep this game forever.
And so, I became a Gotcha Force fanatic. I have since then brought two or three people into Gotcha, mayhaps 4. I don't recall. Still, it felt so good to finally find a game that was truly me.

Especially when the back of the box says they're toys. Major derp on Capcom's part.

My cousin. One day(my cousin, 8 years older than me, 18 at the time), rented a game(He used to live with us in the Summer.) We played it, and I instantly loved the game. We played it for hours upon hours, and we Both beat the game(took turns playing) and did a weird thing where we both used half the controller. He shot(real accurate,) and i moved&targeted. It was Epic! We beat the Galatic Emperor, and it was an awesome time. We didnt get a really bg chance to play it again, and I didnt see or play the game again. Until November 16, 2009. I was in Gamestop, looking at the games. and when I looked in the Gamecube section, I gasped. There it was, sitting on the shelf just to the right. Gotcha FOrce(aaaaaaaaaaaah) I had Pikmin 1 & 2 in my hand. I shoved them backon the shelf, grabbed Gotcha Force, and all thos wonderful memories popped in my head again. I bought it,left the store, and started playing again. That was a good day. ;D

Was watching G4's program called Cine Something I can't really remember basically showed trailers for games. Anyway saw gotcha force vid and theres a part where I think Machine Red & Blue combine and I said this game looked awesome. A while later bought the game on ebay in like 2005. I never heard a review about or nothing and I still love the game ahah
