So how did you discover this gem, and what felt appealing about it?

Reviews/Previews. Seriously. It got 60something%. I was young as well so the bright colours must have appealed to me, even though I am colour-blind with red and green

I found this back on the nintendo site. I've searched and searched in an attempt to order it online. BUt it was so expensive... T^T
5 years later, when it was 2008. I went to game stop, looking at games, since they're my favorite thing to do. But then, when I was looking at the bins... "it" was there! The game I wanted so badly back in 2003 was right in front of me, and was the only copy!! THE ONE!! THE ONLY!! GOTCHA FORCE!! I took my chance, and bought it, and played it soon after I got back. Every day whenever I played the game, was never dull, even after I had beaten it over and over again. It is truely a game that is what all games are meant to be... "fun". TvT

A trailer attatched to the first Gamecube magazine I ever bought. I'd recently got my Gamecube, so I was looking for some games to get, and I bought a magazine. It had a disc of cheats and a DVD with trailers on it. There were two trailers that stick out in my mind, the one for Tales of Symphonia, and the one for Gotcha Force. I watched the trailer what must've been fifty times. It just so happened that that weekend, I was in town and I walked into GAME. They had a copy for £15. I only had £10 on me. Never fear, though, for my brother lent my a fiver.

^ You and I have the exact same history. My demo disc was faulty though, as Gotcha moved in like 2 fps, but of course I knew there was something wrong with it. The music, "Let's have fun", got to me. At a later date, I entered a video game store, owned by an acquaintance of mine, saw GF, got to test it, after 20 seconds, bought it.

My brother borrowed it from a friend. My brother didn't spacifically request Gotcha Force, he just said any game will do and the dude happened to lend him Gotcha Force. I was just becoming properly interested in computers (Gamecube) and so Gotcha Force was the game for me.

I saw it on a rack at Gamestop in 2003 and thought it looked cool. Bought it after looking at it for about a minute.

I saw a review for it on Tech Tv (Before the stupid merger) and it stuck in my head. Fast forward to 2005ish and I've got it and I've been enjoying it ever since.

i saw read a small preview on a gaming magazine, EGM, long time ago, then one day while searching for potential new games for my gc on gamespot, i got to gotcha and it looked cool, they had pretty little info so i went to youtube, after a couple of videos it was love xD.
I started saving to order it online, but on a night out i "ate" all the money, but i convinced my dad to order it for me xD.
btw i met loopy before i had bought the game xD.

^ NGC. I saw a review for it on Tech Tv Lemme guess; 10% out of 100? Nah it was two guys who would give independent reviews, one guy thought the sound and story sucked (I agree) but enjoyed the pokemon aspect of it. He gave it a 60% or something. The other guy liked it more but agreed that the sound sucks. He gave it a 80ish.

one guy thought the sound ... sucked (I agree) The other guy ... agreed that the sound sucks. I think the bad voice acting just adds to its charm, if I'm honest.

Compared to what? I just think people say that thanks to the dumb reviewers. People just believe what ever they say about the game...
