Chrom/10
She's more or less Chrom with better skills... How good she really is depends on her mother of course. If you go with canon Sumia, she starts out a bit weak for a Lord... But whatever you do she'll get Aether, which can pile up with lots of other great offensive skills, and of course, there's Cheetsforce. She gets excellent skills, but Chrom's skills are about as good, Galeforce aside, he just has less choice in what he can do. I think they slightly evens out since typically her mother won't have Chrom's stats/growth rates and she'll inherit those stats.
In the 'bad' ending, she said I earned her trust, and her love, even though I didn't...

Lucina gets a 9.9, our strongest score yet.
Next, Owain! Owain is one of the better kids, but not in the top 5. Gets Galeforce and a bunch of amazing crud and is a great melee user with Libra, and a great sage with Ricken. However, he suffers from his burning drive to be a swordsman when he's so much better as a magic user...Still very solid. 9.3/10

Now's about the time I start researching the character for rating them... World'sbestbattlestance/10. He has a very viable physical moveset... And haxforce. The problem is his weird stats and classes not really matching. But, he's quite capable as a physical fighter that also uses a Levin Sword. He's... a Spell Fencer? I think about at the middle level of the second generation... Which means he's amazing, but not as cheets as some of the others, or not lacking Galeforce. 9/10 He always made me think of Indigo...

SACRED STOOOONES gets a 9.15/10
Next, Inigo. Uh...Inigo is great. A little weak-ish in stats because Olivia, but great. ...not much to say, Chrom!Olivia gets RFK which is great, along with Luna, Sol, Armsthrift, Galeforce, Swordfaire, Astra, Vantage, Pass...the list goes on. 9.3/10.

8.9/ Indigo... And then, the true Indigo came along taking Owain's place. Well, Inigo is... Indigo. Minus the burning passion. Then again, I guess Indigo minus d just diverts all his passion into love and dance. He's so passionate he openly admits he'll cheat on you... Gotta give him some credit. But he's kind of vanilla second-gen in gameplay, since he's Olivia's son... He doesn't typically start out with the best stats, but gets all the good stuff. Henry x Olivia is canon, it's the only Indigo way (and their ending text makes sense rather than being a random thing). Yeah, he's about my favorite character, or up there, it's too hard to pick a definitive favorite...

Inigo (Claxuscan'tspellhisnameright) gets a 9.1/10
Next, Brady. Brady is...weird as a unit. Due to his start as a Priest, his defenses and attack are all garbage. He starts even slower than Inigo...but he's a really good unit once he gets the training in. His default skill set alone is great for a male with things like Luna, DG+, Aegis, Renewal, Tomefaire and Lifetaker. Pick a good father, and he can be either an amazing tank (with someone like Kellam as a father for great Defense boosts and Pavise) or a powerhouse (with someone like Henry as a father for better magic and Sorceror.) He gets two supports if you want him to be a pair-up partner/healer too. His slow, slow start is offset by his potential (more than most kids.) 9/10.

9/10, he should have had Trickster... But he can be pretty great as a Dark Knight. Well, there's too many ways to make him good. I don't think there's really any way to give him a bad parent as they all give him good options one way or another.

Scary Violinist gets a 9/10. Next, Kjelle. Kjelle is among the greatest tanks in the game, with default access to Knight and Paladin (so PavGis) Aside from that, she's one of the few characters with more than 3 base classes by default. Great skill pool, has Pavise, Aegis, Luna, DG+, Astra, Vantage and Deliverer (and Swordfaire) from her mother alone. With someone like Kellam her tankiness becomes even more prominent and she gets access to Acrobat (good for GK/Paladin) and Renewal. If you want a more offensive tank, GaiusxKjelle or DonnelxKjelle are really nice. Both give Sol and Galeforce (though Gaius has to pass Sol) and Donnel gives the amazing Armsthrift. Of course, Donnel is better spent on Nah anyway. ANYWAY, I give Kjelle a 9/10 due to great...most things, but no Renewal, Lifetaker or Sol from Sully to help her tank. Oh, and conditional Galeforce.

9.2/10 for all of the above... And for a 'tank', her speed will actually be pretty high because of Sully's classes and fair speed growth. Sadly, Sully's canon pairing with Stahl is extremely redundant for skills (and Stahl's archer tree is practically useless for her)... But even so she ends up pretty good, I like to make her a pseudo myrmidon knight with avoid skills and stuff like Astra, as I think she can do that much better than tanking. She can often attack twice (and activate more skills) and dodge magic pretty good, so she can be a fast and bulky attacker... And deliverer can help her get around more while paired with an unit that gives her more speed.
My first second generation character... I really like Kjelle and her spikey bobcut and endless training and power-seeking personality. I guess she has abs, too.

Kjelle gets a 9.1/10. Next, Cynthia. ...err...Cynthia's not really bad, but she's among the worst of the kids with Galeforce. She's about on par with her mother in everything. She can get Renewal, Tomefaire, Luna, DG+, Pavise, Galeforce and Lancefaire, making her a solid Dark Flier...but she's mostly unspectacular for a child. 8.5/10

ilu/10 What else is there to say? The hot-blooded lightheaded softie of justice. The world's best archetype AKA Bang Shishigami etc She's definitely my favorite of the second generation at least. Because Chrom x Sumia is the most canon thing in the game (seriously this time, they're married in the game's opening!), it's pretty much a given to me that she'll be Chrom's daughter as well. Sumia's pretty great for a first generation unit, and Cynthia will basically be a much better version of her. Her attack is somewhat lacking, but with Aether and Luna and very high speed and skill, she can really make attacks count often. RFK can further help that, but she has more useful skills. And of course, Galeforce. The only depressing thing is she lacks Astra (with Chrom anyway). But she gets to be a Gundam (General). If you see purple smoke, expect justice to be jumping out of it soon! 9.3/10

What makes Cynthia subpar Steve? Is it just stats?
Sorry I haven't been posting. I fell behind during some visits to/from friends. Also, I don't like giving decimal scores, and none of the child characters deserve anything lower than 9 as far as I'm concerned. I'd just group them into Galeforce/non Galeforce.
I'll be happy to return here if you ever decide to use this thread to rank the Tellius game characters though.

Severa gets better class choices, Lucina gets Lord and superpowers, Owain/Brady are more versatile, Noire makes a better Dark Flier and Morgan/Nah are just OP. Also, I probably won't do Spotpass/DLC characters because I don't actually use them at all except for a couple.

Oh no, ranking spotpass characters would be pointless. I know it will be an extremely long time, but I actually meant ranking the Tellius characters from their actual games when you reach that point in the series.
I personally have an enjoyable experience ranking Radiant Dawn/Path of Radiance characters since those games have a limited EXP pool as well has availability to worry about.

Cynthia gets a 8.9/10
Next, Severa. ...What can I say about Severa? She's easily the best child in the game who doesn't get a semi-exclusive class by default. Her standalone class sets ( Cordelia's) are fantastic, with Galeforce, Armsthrift and Sol all be default. Then, someone like Stahl gives her Myrmidon, Cavalier, and Archer and she just becomes insane. Stahl!Severa alone can be a Nosferatank, a powerful attacker, a strong support or a tank. The sheer versatility Severa brings is good enough for me to give her a whopping 9.7/10

0/10. Had severe issues with her running off in her paralogue and dying all the time. Had to try several times, like more than seven times, and abuse Rescue to keep her in place. After finally completing it I just severed ties with her...
Although she was theoretically amazing with Gaius having married Cordelia, and he was one of my highest level units, Cordelia was just kind of on par with grunts since she got so good I neglected using her to level others up and she fell behind then. Well, she has all the overpowered stuff available... She's mary sue-ndere.
... 9.5/10. I-it's not like I care about this topic or anything...

Next, Gerome. Gerome is arguably the best kid who doesn't get Galeforce. ...unfortunately that doesn't mean much since most of the kids get Galeforce. He's a powerhouse and good support with a brave axe, but there's not much I can say about Gerome...he can move another more capable kid really far...I guess. He's not bad, it's just...when compared to the other kids he doesn't compare well (except for Yarne lol) 8/10 Also, it's okay Claxus. I'd have stopped this topic a bit ago (around when it just became us) but we've come so far, we might as well finish, right? I mean, just a few more days until we can give Morgan that unanimous 10 and be done.

Since gameplay effectiveness is of less concernt to me, I actually rank Morgan 8/10 on the supports front.
