*Sigh* would anyone be willing to get me a shellder with skill link? They should be on Route 8 - you have to fish for it. Your Shellder awaits you. I also did notice just today that Scolipede can get Speed Boost, fighting one in the Battle Maison. It was kinda annoying. But why? Why do they rebalance random Pokemon like that while hundreds are eating dust? When they could be so much better with just simple stat boosts? Yet they just handpick a few and keep catering them for the meta...
Look at Alakazam! It was once the king of OU, but it fell to UU and nearly RU by gen 4, and gen 5 gave it another shot at OU with Magic Guard.
Though some descisions were just plain stupid, like giving Salamence Moxie, and Chandelure Shadow Tag (they fixed that before it was released.)
Another good example is Cloyster, actually. It spent four generations sitting in the lower tiers as just another rapid spinner/spiker with good defenses, and it had all the tools to be an offensive threat, but had no way to boost. Then Gen 5 blessed it with Shell Smash, the final thing it needed to abuse that 125 physical Ice STAB and 125 Rock power.

I think they throw darts at a poster containing all the pokemon, and go "who gets a stat boost/ability update this game?" And throw like fifteen to twenty darts XD
Consequently they also make several pokemon who exist purely to be an hm slave. Pokemon like bibarel who are generallh useless outside of being a slave to hms.

My Greninja was a bit of this with Surf and Waterfall...but they were actually good moves.Waterfall is good now that it can induce flinch XD surf has always been good. And fly. Cut is decent as is strength but they get outclassed by better moves later. Like slash and superpower XD or mega punch. Back to fly dodge on one turn, kill them the next? Useful, unless you go first and they also use a teo turn move or a never miss move like shockwave or swift. |

What? No it's not, it's worse than Tackle of all things. Why they thought to buff String Shot and left Cut completely useless baffles me. The only thing Mega Punch has over Strength is being boosted by Iron Fist, aside from that Strength is equal in power and significantly more accurate. It's actually a pretty okay move if you can't get Body Slam. |

I am pretty sure cut does more damage than tackle. Equal damage, actually. Also it has less PP and less accuracy. It's legitimately worse than Tackle. Yes, it now harshly lowers speed. For some reason. |

Didn't see you on today to trade you Shelldon, Steve. Though now that I've been thinking about a new team, I would appreciate if you could get me a male Hariyama from my safari with the Guts ability. Any nature that doesn't hinder defenses or attack is fine.
And named Vavel. It's a mech name. But yeah, that is kind of specific, but I can't really bring myself to bother with breeding and leveling from scratch yet another Pokemon right now... But hey, it shouldn't take much longer than finding a Shelldon since it's from my safari.
To throw it out there, plans for my current team:
Haxorus, Hariyama, Heliolisk, Scyther (Eviolite), Rotom-W, and...
Not really decided on the last one. Maybe Ninjask built on Baton Pass, or Sigilyph with support. Maybe Gallade or Bisharp but they keep letting me down. Possibly Accelgor as he can do cool stuff... Or maybe Rotom-F or H.
My attempt at an actual semi-competitive team, not just trying to make my favorites work together. Might also drop Scyther out for one of the above, but the Eviolite and Technician make him very appealing.

In team-related news, my entire team is now IV bred, EV trained, and level 50. Tomorrow I'm going to figure out their movesets, at which point I have no idea what I'm going to do with it.
Also the idea of attempting a usable Bug-type team interests me so at some point I'm going to look into that. Pretty sure there's enough variety among them to not have everything get destroyed by exactly one Solrock.

I had no idea cut was that bad  In other news, i may have found and caught the ultimate croagunk. It has dry skin, and since poison is immune to itself, i was fighting a dralgae like 20 levels higher than it and all dralgae could do was double team. Oh and it was raining Anywho it has a non hindering nature im pretty sure. And decent base stats all around. Honestly the only way it couldve been better would be to be shiny. |

Sorry Claxus... I searched for over an hour for Hariyamas, and every single one had Sheer Force.
I did find this particular one, however, with Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) and perfect IVs in Defense and Sp. Defense.

Wow, over an hour? It kinda took me that long to find a Sheldon, but that's because I was using the super rod and it was sucking at getting bites and it seems like it can't even find Sheldons. Found it really fast after I switched to good rod.
Still, that's some pretty... Great luck? Hidden abilities in the safari are more uncommon while that friend is offline... That's a really nice Hariyama to breed though. And Sheer Force is great, but it'd be even more awesome to get a 50% boost to attack by having a fire aura. Those are the perfect IVs and nature though, hope I can pass those down.
I'll be on soon, and will be on the rest of the day, so we can trade.
And I'll add you, Dethy. Totally forgot about that.

Just got pretty demolished by Metal. Gg clax. I feel kinda bad for putting blastoise first XD i didng realizd you had only picked talonflame until the last pokemon i picked. Which was pawniard. (Btw what lvl does he evo? Im too lazy to check.) Was that your gale wings one? Also i have discovered that different combinations of clothing produce different visual effects in the clothes changing area. And hmm does anyone know where shinx spawn at? Id really enjoy a shinx. Also i feel like i am trying to complete ghe dex rather than train my meta teams |

Finally got all of my new team breeded, just have to level up the rest.
Shinx is from a friend safari only. Though I think my friend has a Shinx, I may be able to get one.

If you want to fill up the pokedex you should wait for poke transfer.
When that comes out I'll probably get back into the game again so that I can grab my old EV trained Lucario and use that as my mega.
