Also how long do I have to do the battle mansion for until my rival challenges me leading to the power up of the mega ring so that I can find more megastones? One battle. Thanks, got the absolite. Going to reset my clock and go on a grand adventure.

Thanks, got the absolite. Going to reset my clock and go on a grand adventure. Pretty sure that breaks time-based events. Would not recommend.

When claxus said earlier that the elite four was easy i assumed he was joking.
Well he was not. The only one who gave me trouble was the water guy. And thats because i had only chesnaught with me, and its only attacking grass move is wood hammer. (Btw wood hammer is a giant innuendo. Which makes it my favorite move ever.) So i pretty well killed myself in that fight.
Stupid gayrados knowing earthquake didnt add to much. But thanks to blaziken i beat him. Ohko on barbaracle.
Oh and diantha was a joke. She was painfully easy. I killed half her team with lapras in one hit apiece. Thank you sheer cold for hawlucha.(btw hawlucha looks incredibly stupid)
Then blaziken finished her off. Gardevoir got wiped out by a single brave bird.
What a JOKE!
i am disapoint.

The water guy also gave me the most trouble. More accurately, EXP share is broken. Anyway I managed to get a female french honedge from the GTS. Going to breed myself a shiny honedge (hopefully adament!) Because that thing looks godlike. So unlike the ditto I received from death eye, this honedge has a big 'FRE' sign above it's name. So now I know that it will definitely work right? Also I hear that passing down natures with the everstone doesn't work if you're simultaneously employing the matsuda method. Is this true?

No idea. Im currently in the process of super training flaffys speed stat so that as ampharos its hella fast. It helped that i fought it in a horde and caught the fastest one. Its timid though not sure if thats helpful or no, but it likes too run? And then im gonna catch/train a decent team and challenge the post game stuff. Maybe find zygarde and catch him? Oh i got mewtwo and mewtwonite y if you want to trade now steve Jk Also how do i get into the chamber of emptiness?

Gardevoir got wiped out by a single brave bird. What a JOKE! i am disapoint. I'm guessing you accidentally wound up overleveled for it what with the EXP Share breaking the game? Because it was somewhat challenging for me doing my usual thing. Admittedly my usual thing is skipping as many trainers as possible with a poorly-thought-out team and even doing that I had a relatively easy time and only wound up 5 levels underleveled (compared to Emerald where I was about 12 levels under and it was completely ridiculous), but I wouldn't call it a joke. So unlike the ditto I received from death eye, this honedge has a big 'FRE' sign above it's name. So now I know that it will definitely work right? Yeah. Nope. Not that I know of, anyway. No idea. Im currently in the process of super training flaffys speed stat so that as ampharos its hella fast. It helped that i fought it in a horde and caught the fastest one. Its timid though not sure if thats helpful or no, but it likes too run? You probably don't need physical attacks, so you have no use for Attack. Meaning if you're looking for speed timid is pretty much ideal. Also the fact that it likes to run means its highest IV is in speed. Go talk to the guy in front of the TV in the Kiloude City Pokémon Center and he'll tell you how good it actually is. There's a waterfall on route 22.

Oh yea i probably should have turned off my exp all.... seriously why remold the share? Just call it all again. Its what it does. Super broken at least rbgy made you work for the dang thing. Best 60+ pokemon ive ever caught btw XD Also thanks DE i have no idea how natures affect stuff Oh and i avoided at least 10 battles.... Pearl on the other hand, had a challenging champion. I ran circles around that elite four and cynthia nearly devastated me each time id fight her. But i think that i enjoyed gen 4 alot. Probably Idk as far as story i think id say b&w had the most in depth one. But i slightly enjoy the story anyways. It helps add to the adventure aspect the games try to portray. And i enjoy that. Im taking a break now though. My brain is like mush from gaming atm. Bleh i feel sick. Fortunately i caught a good mareep aparently. Now to get that majestic looking ampharos and then mega evo it so it looks even more majestic and gets the typing it always deserved. Yay! Im gonna train and amie that thing to death

I did elite four with Goodra and Aegislash. No recovery items were even used aside from one ether on Aegislash.
2nd playthrough I have a VERY different team this time. About to challenge the 3rd gym with: Frogadier/Starboard lv. 31 Floette/AZ lv. 27 Charmeleon/Overrated lv. 30 Meowstic (Female)/Haruhi Lv. 27 Vivillon/Wengi lv. 27 Mawile/Nemesis Lv. 27
The gyms are still really the only things giving me trouble, even with EXP share off.

I'm ditching Talonflame. Gale Wing/Flare Blitz/U-Turn made it too good and mainstream. No matter. Because I finally found a Protean Kecleon! After only so many GTS trades with people who (literally?) can't read the message that I was trading for a Protean Kecleon. Some of them were probably just jerks knowing they can get away with my Pokemon with a crappy Kecleon.
Its stats seem a bit underwhelming, but the Sp. Def is nice and attack is decent, but the main thing of course is Protean. It's a problem that it has horrendous speed (no tailwind is gonna help that either, and trick room may be too gimmicky), but it does learn Shadow Sneak and Sucker Punch. Instant Ghost or Dark right there with STAB before it can get hurt (though I have to see if he changes type even if they fail, because they may be worth using even if your opponent can expect it), or it can likely take a hit first from anything that's not Fighting to then switch to any other type.
Such a fun little guy... So many possibilities, and in general has great Sp. Def.. I can change his moveset into just about anything given the limits of his moves! Although, he's lacking a huge list of extra possibilities right now with the lack of move tutoring... I might have to learn what chain breeding is to get him Recover as an egg move.
Though right now I'm trying to think of what nature to use on one... Mine's Adamant right now which is great right off the bat, but I kinda want one with a Def+ Speed- nature.

So. Speed is his best stat or w/e according to the potential guy, so im super training his speed. Its at 55... come on ampharos show a little effort! Gah!
Btw super training doesnt actually increass the stat, in the event you didnt know that. I think it increases the EV of said stat, but so far speed only goes up by 1 for each level. And its effort thing is like 5/9 full on speed.

I don't know a whole lot about breeding or EVs, but I'm pretty positive that 4 EV points = 1 stat point. That, and I know the results aren't immediate. As you level up towards 100, you'll start noticing the difference. Think of it as extra growth on EV trained stats. And yeah, super training is EVs, thus why it's mostly multiples of 4. Remember EV isn't an official term, so technically we should all be calling them base stats now as that's the official name they've finally been given.
I really wouldn't speed train Ampharos, though, it has an extremely low speed stat, the extra 65ish speed points you can get by the end won't be helping you that much except against other molasses Pokemon. Its base speed is on par with stuff like Golurk. Mega Ampharos actually lowers the speed stat, too. He's pretty much a tank fighter despite its appearance and electric type.

Also, you do know Ampharos's speed is bad, right?
EDIT: Greninja'd. Also, Talonflame is only good because of Priority Acrobatics/Brave Bird. You want to use less "mainstream" stuff? Just use a Talonflame without Gale Wings. Where'd you get one anyway?

Yeah. Looking up specific team builds and help on learning the metagame on sites like smogon and serebii can be incredibly helpful, Metal. Just be careful about using them because you could make your team too predictable and easy to counter. Plus it's just boring.
I heard that pokemon from the friend safari are all guaranteed to have perfect IVs of 31 (in other words, they'll have the maximum possible stats at level 100 baring natures and EVs with 31 IVs) in at least two stats. That is incredible. Combined with the low amount of pokemon in the area it would probably be much faster to catch pokemon from the friend safari for the ideal pokemon than breeding. Especisally since they all have a chance of having their hidden ability, too. Of course, the draw backs are that you can't really choose your pokemon, and there is no matsuda method.

I read that it's a good idea to catch a few Safari dittos, getting different combinations of perfect IVs. Then you can breed specific ones with Destiny Knots I believe, to pass down IVs beneficial to the Pokemon you want to breed. Of course, some people do some chain breeding to get all of the stats to 31, but you can get two good stats with minimal effort with just one Ditto.

Yea i know its slow. As i thought i said i want to make a fast one though i wonder with speed being its best "iv" according to the guy at kiloude could i destiny knot breed one thats retartedly fast? Is that even possible? Idk before now ive never really had much use for the metagame other than type effectiveness. And idt im gonna use those guides. Ive looked at a couple, but i like to do my own thing. Like teaching ampharos rain dance In the event you didnt know that makes thunder 100% accurate now. Or something. Also btw my ampharos doesnt know rain dance. Because im prettt sure thats like the most predictable thing ever. Actually idt it can Even learn rain dance but still.

So. Speed is his best stat or w/e according to the potential guy That's pretty much what I told you earlier. The important part is what he says about the stat. You want him to say something along the lines of "Stats like those... they simply can't be beat!" because that's what he says when the stat has 31 IVs. Also you should probably go get the Power items from the Battle Maison, at least the ones for the stats you want EVs in. Surfing/Earthquaking hordes with the EXP Share on and the relevant Power item equipped is way faster than Super Training. You just need to make sure the Pokémon in the hordes aren't giving you EVs where you don't want them.

I think he said they were simply amazing. Not sure.
Anywho power items? What are these mystical power items you speak of? Sounds like macho braces and the like.

Tons of stuff can learn Rain Dance, I think only fire types and perhaps an odd few other Pokemon can't. I've yet to come across anything besides Talonflame that can't, anyway. Still, it's not that predictable on Ampharos, or practical. Heliolisk with Dry Skin benefits decently, restoring a bit of HP every turn and it can learn Surf. But I think the undodgeable electric attacks in rain is just more of a bonus unless you make a specific team with at least three Pokemon for rain.
Still, the problem with Ampharos is its natural speed is just too low. EV training can make up for small shortcomings, or making specialities a bit more effective, but an Ampharos trained for speed will only be going faster than other tanky Pokemon (or lolzy stuff like Kecleon). It has way below average speed that can't catch up even with a speed+ nature and speed EV training. In a reverse kind of way, think of it as trying to make a Snorlax faster than Ampharos. It can probably happen, but it's very silly to do that and that Snorlax won't be outspeeding much more than an Ampharos.
