Three reasons.
1. There are some gender oriented scenes in the game. I wanted to see how they changed.
2. EXP share and Blaziken break the game. I want to try without them. This also motivates me to choose a fire starter.
3. The female, in my opinion, gets better trainer customization. And I'm pretty obsessed over that.

Speaking of trainer customisation, does anyone know if the o-power for lowering prices works in the boutiques?

Oh and also i eradicated team flare and burned their base and bodies to the ground then threw them in a giant hole with the death flower thing and had ylveltal steal their souls or life force or whatever.

I hope Z introduces two things 1. More trainer customization stuff for males.

And 2. Mega Swampert. Because Eff sceptile thats why.

Not really mega scepty would be cool too.

I would also like to see a mega raichu. Seriously its the mascot pokemon dyed orange with a new dew and tail. Show it some love.

Actually i need to train my pikachu.... then waste use a thunderstone on it to evo it.

I'm going to spend the next few days focusing on pokemon.

Not long from now I'm going to leave the 3DS on and wait for someone. I'd like to trade dittos with that someone, then I can get to work.
I'm open for battles but you'll have to give me a short while to reorganize my team into something even slightly resembling a fighting chance, and even then they wont be EV trained yet and I don't have a solid mega.
So yeah.

Al, I'm pretty sure you're not foreign enough. Foreign language Dittos have an indication of what language they came from, but yours has no indication of being from an entirely different continent. I think that means it won't work. Which means mine won't, either.

Does it say USA or anything like that on the Pokemon's summary page, next to its name? You can tell if your Pokemon is foreign because it'll have a little label that says stuff like GER or JP. Well, I love Talonflame. Apparently it's one of the top 15 fastest Pokemon if you don't count legendaries or megas. Gale Wings lets it beat out anything speed boosted as if that wasn't already enough, as well as generally beat out stuff like Sucker Punch considering it's still faster. It also learns Tailwind, which it can leave behind as a final gift if it's close to going down, or just whenever a chance/necessity comes up. And U-Turn to escape bad matchups while doing a little damage. Brave Bird and Flare Blitz with a high attack stat, too... Honestly Talonflame more than makes up for its bad weaknesses. And I hate Noivern.

Well gym 8 was a joke. The trainers sucked the puzzle was too easy and wolfric was even easier than his trainers. I mean blaziken wrecked it solo.

I went mega against avalugg because it made the battle epic, but honestly that gym was too easy. A fact that wolfric himself parodied.

But anyway. Elite four possibly later. Still waiting on the boutique to get that yellow hoodie. No game i dont want a stupid aqua hoodie. Or am orange knit cap that i already own. Honestly youd think they would set it up so that after you buy clothing boutiques stop carrying that item because you already own it.

Of course not. Cause that wouldve been the smart thing to do.

Even without prize money power or being even slightly prepared for double battles I made a profit of about 90k. Considering I had about $300 half an hour ago, that's pretty good.

In a tangentially related matter, do Flame Body and Magma Armor stack for egg hatching purposes? I somehow wound up with more eggs than I can carry and would like to hatch them faster.

I have no idea. Flame body is fast enough as it is.

Also the battle chateux and the jobs at the Lumoise hotel are pretty good for money grinding as well.
Do the jobs daily for increased pay.

Also how long do I have to do the battle mansion for until my rival challenges me leading to the power up of the mega ring so that I can find more megastones?
