As long as this doesn't turn into a flame war...
I'm a pretty serious Christian.

So like njayhuang says, don't let it turn into a flame war. Those get pretty annoying. Believe it or you don't believe it. Don't flame others...

I was going to post yesterday, but I decided not to because I wasn't quite sure what to say. Even now I'm using the backspace button a lot. I'm a pretty serious Christian, but I'm pretty sure my sig already implies that.

Is this thread making everyone feel anxious or something? Why the fear of being flamed, everyone? Anyone flaming another would be breaking the very first rule of this forum, and since not a single one of the God-sent (get it? ) members of this site has yet to act such, I don't see what scares so much. Post away your views and beliefs to your heart's content.

As far as being gay...I'm fully against it, but I don't believe that gays should be picked on, as they're still human, despite what they do. I also don't appreciate it when people take it lightly.

Post away your views and beliefs to your heart's content. ...And yours, dear admin? Hmm. I'm surprised at how many of our forum members aren't blatant atheists.

...And yours, dear admin? I'm surprised at how many of our forum members aren't blatant atheists. I guess I'll be the first (perhaps the only) one to say that I'm an atheist. Thus I have nothing valid to contribute to this thread, so I guess I don't belong here. * gets kicked out by Thadudette*

I think people should share there opinion and not give a s*** what others think. If people don't like what you have to say then they should maybe be the ones who are thrown out or banned ;D

What the heck, I'll give this topic a shot. I'm athiest/agnostic. Ignorance goes hand-in-hand with thought, so I think it's a bit foolish to believe in anything for certain. Even evidence is flawed, since we don't know that really exists. Basically, I take every question ever asked about anything and then ask if it's really a question at all.
And then I stop caring and get a snack. Probably one involving cheese, as I percieve cheese to kick arse.
As for my views on what's right and what's wrong, I can only go by what seems to be relatively constant among all living things; they just want to keep on living. If you try to impede that, it's wrong, if you help it then it's right. Of course nothing is entirely one or the other, since every action has different degrees of right and wrong. After all, breathing isn't wrong just because it takes air away from everyone else.
Though, there's not really much I consider wrong. Life's too short to worry about the ethical implications of everything, so most things are fine if it doesn't mess with other people too much. Just my two cents there, heavily influenced by many tiring days of tedious assignments and work. Please excuse any unmanly typos!

Hmm. Thinking about malletninja's post, I might consider myself slightly agnostic, as I've gotten tired of trying to argue the existence of God to people who have chosen to reject it. I think there's a lot of "uncertainty" on both sides of the argument, but that's where faith comes in. But then again, like Loopy says, too many people don't believe in God for no real reason...maybe that it's easier. So many people today don't even know what they really believe. Or why.

Its the lack of proof that fuels the arguements.
People believe that if god was proven to be existant or non existant there'd be chaos around the world. Wouldn't surprise me.
