I'm going to get Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate as part of the Mario Kart 8 promotion.
Currently trying out the demo and, needless to say, I'm horrible at the moment, but will try online as soon as possible.

Ah, don't worry about it too much Admin. Two important parts of the game are learning every single battle and learning to prepare for every single battle.

Sounds good. And admin, it is one of the best games ever. It has one of the steepest learning curves I have ever seen though. Despite this, every time you switch games your previous experience will carry over. |

I have to wait 3(!!!) months before getting my free download! Apparently the promotion has to run its course beforehand.
I was really hoping to altering between racing and hunting, but it looks like it'll only be racing for now.

Think back to how desperate you were for a Smash demo code, and perhaps you'll remember...
And this game's demo lets you play quests with every weapon type in the game, and it's playable online.

Thing is, I've never played Monster Hunter. I have no sudden thirst for the newest version. For you, yeah, it's cool, but for me...eh. I don't mind that I sold my 2DS the day it came out. If I want to play it bad enough, my buddy (the guy who gave me my code in the first place) is super nice and we borrow stuff of each others all the time. He'd probably let me borrow his other 3DS. Besides...the smash demo came out 3 weeks before the game. This demo is one week before. |

This is lame since only the non-XL version gets change-able faceplates. it's ok though. I'm getting it (XL) for portable Xenoblade regardless.The 2DS is just... a poor execution of a somewhat good idea. Idea: Make a more affordable 3DS. Execution: Remove the 3D feature, making some games much harder to play, while not even making it much cheaper. Idea: Make a more durable 3DS. Execution: Take away the hinge and expose the screens to scratches, while simultaneously making the system less portable. Idea: Make this thing we just made more resistant to screen scratches. Execution: Make a slip cover that zippers shut and adds nothing in the way of protection of the console. I admittedly prefer the 2DS. The screens aren't very susceptible to scratches and it's more comfortable to hold than the original. Also feels less flimsy than the others. That said, I'm selling it for the New3DSXL.Ironic, I thought this thing was stupid. I actually really liked it. Mono speaker is lame though. That's my biggest issue, you pretty much need headphones or suffer terrible sound. Also, the only game harder to play is SM3DL. |

Why did you sell your 2DS? ... I sold my 2DS today to pay for a New 3DS. Money doesn't fall off trees, and I didn't need the 2DS. As for why I sold it sooner...Gamestop had a special offer if you sell it towards the pre-order of a New 3DS XL. I got back pretty much every penny I paid for it, and I wouldn't have been able to get that offer if I sold it when I went to buy the New 3DS XL. |
