Yeah, I was a little worried, but they actually did a phenomenal job on the animations. I'm pretty suprised actually (the animations for Layton vs. Wright are no where near as beautiful) ;D I'll be honest though...I've only played two and half cases from Trials and Tribulations xD; my GF finished it before I did and was like, "NO you CANNOT do this, go play them in order." So yeah, now I'm hunting a copy of Ace Attorney 1 and 2 it's a great series, but it's exhausting stuff, defending people. I feel like a real lawyer!

To be honest I don't like it more than Blazblue or Persona (it's unbalanced and feels a bit choppy), but Johnny and online is more than enough reason to play it. Especially with a legit rivalry now... New fighting game rivalry tomorrow! Aw man, I was just getting good with Carl...

People complain that Blazblue is bad for not being guilty gear sometimes. 2) I've hit a brick wall with Relius and I'm loosing interest. Also, I want chrono phantasma to feel relatively fresh. 3) It's something to do while I wait for persona 4 arena to actually show it's face around here! Oh, and also it supports arcsystems. If they want money, I'll give it to them if it means more games localized!

I dunno where you're seeing all the hype, but I haven't seen anything like that besides the usual posts just excited for the game... But it's true that there's always been a whole Guilty Gear vs. Blazblue deal, but from what I've seen it's mostly in the past now... It's precisely why we need a GG vs. BB game, though.
As for Relius, I hardly ever saw you use the attack where Ignis sweeps a spiked thing along the ground, is that just a bad move that shouldn't be incorporated anywhere? And what about distortion drive combos? Especially off of the gears one, every time I get hit by it I feel like there's a better followup than walking to me slowly like a badawesome into a simple grab or C attack. And Ignis' combo drive is just awesome pressure you should add into your game. btw coolest thing ever is nirvana&ignis clashing with their drives (especially with carl&clover still able to move normally)

And Ignis' combo drive is just awesome pressure you should add into your game. btw coolest thing ever is nirvana&ignis clashing with their drives Thats the thing about hype. There is very little. I'm talking about when people criticize blazblue. Anyway... yo-yo attack as I call it is actually quite useful. If timed right, using it with 6A creates an unblockable attack. However it's slow to start and difficult to combo off of after the hit, and situational. gears, I always find that grabbing is too obvious. So I normally try getting people into a corner with that, by jumping over them or something. If I dont follow it up properly, I probably messed up due to the short time frame your opponent is immobilized. It's incredibly difficult to get anything off of a combo ignis drive. It lasts forever and useful for block strings, but difficult to continue mostly because the last attack sends the opponent flying. Useful for getting people in the corner though. And yes. Ignis and nirvana clashing is really epic, must confess. Sorry we derailed to topic everyone.

WAO CARNAGE HEART EXA IS GOING TO HAVE AN ENGLISH RELEAedit: <catches breath> Carnage Heart EXA... A PSP sequel (technically a sequel of Carnage Heart Portable which was also a sequel, not just a port) of one of the most awesome 'mech' games, originally on PS1. It's an extremely intricate robot AI-creation game. You choose parts, weapons, and of course colors, and then... The building begins. From scratch, your robot is just a dud. You have this editing 'canvas' where you place function chips in branches that determine how your robot will act, but everything is very precise. Like for example, an extremely basic AI will be like: Walk forward 5 steps > Search for enemies within 45 degrees > [If enemy found] Shoot 3 bullets at target > [If no target found] turn 50/50% chance right/left] > etc... But something like that is just barebones... I can't begin to explain all of the possibilities, dodging fire, programming it to avoid obstacles, even use obstacles as cover... There's also different types of robots, like planes. Well, here's a trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnRohuymLS4If you're interested, click through some of the Japanese gameplay videos, you'll see how complex it is and what you can do with the programming. There's even some funny/cool videos with mechs flying in formation and 'dancing' and stuff. P.S. Holy mecharoli... I can't believe they're localizing it. It's so out of the blue and random to localize an obscure game after two years, but it's like a dream come true...

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance... I'm not a fan of violent games, but I played the demo and gave it a try just because I got it from the Zone of the Enders Collection.
Not gonna say much because there's too much to say, but wow. Extremely stylish, over-the-top gameplay, and one of the highest quality games I've seen in a long time. I hope that we get an option for blood color... Since the game in Japan has white blood, and it'd ease my mind if I slash cyborgs and mechs and the artificial blood they have actually looks artificial.
Anyway, here's a preview that just released today. Fighting against the giant Metal Gear Ray. Moments of highlight: 1:55 and 3:58

1. Capcom backed Fan Game
2. Free
3. PC, download at Capcom Unity site on the 17th.
That's all I really came back to say, because I know some of you like Megaman! It's not much, but at least they're doing something. So it's kinda an official game, but then again it started out as a fan game...so...you know. It's free though, and on PC, so it's something to play over break.
@mgr: Revengeance, yeah, I saw that a few weeks back and posted it on the Wii board on gfaqs. It looked like it should have been a Wii game (with the directional slashes, would have been perfect with Motion+ or Move)! IMO it's a missed opprotunity to have some actually GOOD motion controls. And yes, it's needlessly violent...especially with how the kills are "cinematic" and over bloody (and when he's stabbing the AT-AT mechs the blood looks a little...out of place lol.).
It's kinda how like No More Heroes put me off due to the sheer amount of blood, but the Japanese version had coins spilling out! Would have looked nicer as coins I think. But yeah, it looks like a great action game though, it's on my list for when I get a PS/360.

That Mega Man game looks alright... Maybe nostalgia plays a big factor in enjoying it, but I never really found the 8-bit Mega Man style very fun. Could be 'cause I grew up playing a little bit of Mega Man X, but mostly Mega Man Zero 1-3. So I like the dashing, sprites, wall-jumping, and hectic bosses more, and just don't find the simple run and jump gameplay of the old Mega Man as fun...

Wow, geez. The mecha games are seriously counting up this year. What a hype-filled Spring.
Carnage Heart EXA, Gunhound EX, Battle Robot Damashii, Heroes VS, Macross 30, Gundam Breaker, Super Robot Wars UX... I'll probably only get to play about 4 of these, but still.
I really want a PS3 for Gundam Breaker. It's a Gundam battle game, but... Instead of Gundams, you actually play as Gundam model figures. You can even mix Gundam parts apparently. Kinda funny and interesting but awesome.

Is that link... What it's supposed to be?
For now I'll assume you're referring to the Gotcha Force game itself. Yeah, it is kinda like that. But with Gundams instead of borgs. But with interchangeable parts. Also it's kinda funny that while it will also have giants, it's due to the fact that they're based on different model kit scale sizes. Like a RX-78 Gundam of 1/144 scale fighting its big brother, more detailed 1/100 scale RX-78 Gundam.

Gundam Breaker? Sounds interesting... Actually, I really love the idea. I hope they go more towards the model figure aspect with the areas though, and not "real" environments, you know? It'll just bring back all of that nostalgia of playing with kits on the bookshelf jumping onto the floor (and the sad sounds of cracking plastic ) That, and well, I like little robots, and they look like little robots on top of a Poker table xD rather than out in the snowy mountains. Looks fun, I'll be sure to pick it up when I get a PS3 one day. I hope the final boss is the 1:1 model of RX-78 lol... (Lemme guess, Japan only? I guess it doesn't really matter since it's on PS3, and that might save me from a few spoilers on Unicorn or something since I can't read it lol). Also: m.ign.com/articles/2013/01/11/fire-emblem-3ds-bundle-confirmed-for-north-americaFire Emblem: Awakening bundle for NA, but it's a regular 3DS and NOT an XL. Awakening comes pre-installed onto the hardware.
