New Fire Emblem, unnamed (Other than Fire Emblem) It looks a lot like Awakening... I would have preffered it to be on the Wii U. Speaking of the Wii U, aren't Intelligent Systems supposed to be developing SMT X Fire Emblem? I heard the production of that game hit some rough spots, please don't say that they abandoned it. I suppose they can only improve on Awakening, since they seem to be sticking close to an Awakening style game and don't appear to be trying to deviate all that much from it. The only thing that looked notably different was how the camera zoomed into an over the shoulder view when transitioning to fight scenes. I don't really care so long as the story is better. This should be pretty good. I don't think the direct had anything else that hadn't already been announced. Yep, I saw this before you even mentioned it. So hype. Calling it now, it's called Fire Emblem: Grima's Vengeance.

I think a direct sequel in Fire Emblem has only ever happened like, once, maybe twice, so I wouldn't count on it. The subtitles also tend to be more generic, even Shadow Dragon is actually referring to an Earth Dragon. Even if this were simply set centuries after Awakening with no other connecting plot threads, the better ending of that game discounts the possibility of Grima reviving.
Actually, I did notice something else different. In the second half of the trailer, a Pegasus Knight seems to be fighting a new variation of monster? Given the focus on the stone faced thing, I'm guessing monsters will be a more common enemy type in this game.

I'm not sure there's many PC gamers around here... but Rise of Incarnates is a week and a half away.
I'm kind of hype. It's been forever since there's been a new and exciting MMO, let alone a fighter. And let alone... A Gundam vs. Gundam clone. Right, this will be a free to play MMO, by Bandai Namco themselves. And the gameplay is pretty much exactly like GvG. Which plays a lot like the fundamentals of Gotcha Force? Boost meter, dashing, lock-on, combo canceling, hyper mode? If they handle it well, it could have a very good 2vs2 competitive scene which GvG is known for, and they definitely seem to be going for that.
If anyone's interested, sign up soon as you'll need a Steam key they'll give out, and I'm not sure if you can get those after launch.

^ I can't really play MMOs.
Anyway Persona 5 has been announced for March in Japan, I hope that holds true, and that it gets localised soon afterwards given the series popularity overseas. Regardless of EU localisation times I'm very likely to import the US edition. Also, next Wednesday Atlus have scheduled a 36 hour stream dedicated to Persona content. Oh my... I hope it doesn't cut too deeply into my Thursday, I have classes then.
When I get my hands on the game it's very likely that I'll be making first impressions notes. I'm going to analyse the excrement out of this game!

There was a fake leak that said the new FE game would be called that, but that was for WiiU according to the "leak".

top 25 Persona songs as voted by Japanese Persona fans. I missed most of it. 3) Reach Out to the Truth 2) Burn My Dread 1) Memories of You. Perfect. First mystery announcement in two hours. EDIT: Mystery Announcement was, as should be expected, a Dancing All Night video. Afterwards there was a 15 minute breaking leading to an event that hadn't been scheduled, when the timer hit zero, suddenly everything went nuts. And then the timer returned to normal, saying it was 12 hours until the next event. The prior image heavily suggests Persona 5 information.

That opening starting around 0:30 feels so much like some cheesy superhero show opening.

Skating around the streets of Tokyo without a care in the world. Also, in regards to your analysis (very in-depth by the way, I approve, though I'm not done with it.) Something seem wrong here to you?

I know, I refer to how off that sounds on purpose, I think I make mention of that? I mean, it basically does seem like Peter Parker by day, Batman by night to me, even if the identities are miss-matched.
Oh, the Japanese on the first menu reveals the character names by the way. The cat is named Morgana, the protagonist is simply referred to as the protagonist, the best friend is named Ryuji Sakamoto, (Oh the jokes that will be made if he ever makes it to the arena series...) and the new girl is named Ann Takamaki. The city is indeed Tokyo.

So since the cat is not named Luxuria, I decided to look at Luxuria and Superbia in more detail. It took seconds to learn that they are latin words for lust (Luxuria) and Pride (Superbia) which I don't recall learning in my actual Latin class. From the looks of things, there will be a cat (or possibly a character) representing each of the seven deadly sins. The red cat could symbolise the protagonist since it stands out, in which case I'm willing to bet wrath will be his sin.
EDIT: In this case Morgana might represent Luxuria or lust, meaning that he'll probably be trying to hit on every girl he sees for the purpose of comedy just like Teddie. £10 says he also says Nyan a lot in the Japanese dub, and tons of bad cat puns in the English dub that will make me cat my wrist. I really hope they're just kitten around here, that this is just a fabricated yarn. If it's true, that would just make me Fur-ious.
I'm a Mewoster at this.

Look what Yu have done, Yu. You've single-handedly turned Persona into Swag: The Series. But, let me say something that reeaallly has to be said.
Kiraboshi!
Star Driver. Look it up.
Anyway, looks great, but for overall I think so far I'll like P4 and P3 more. Very early speculation, but I think the themes and characters here are clicking less with me. I can't decide which of the two is my favorite though... But 5 is still hype, the art direction has me very interested. All that's left is for Sho to pop up.
And about the favorite songs, I'm kind of surprised Mass Destruction wasn't top 3. Funnily enough, my top 3 list would be the three battle songs from 3 and 4. Reach Out to the Truth, Time to Make History, and Mass Destruction. Persona Q P4 battle theme makes it close...

Not enough Wiping All Out in your top list, Clax. I think Mass Destruction was in the top ten, I can't recall if it was in the top five. I've seen the first few episodes of Star Driver, but I barely remember them. Pretty bland show as I recall, but I wasn't exactly critically sharp back then. These days, I think I've had my fill of Shonens. I'll just stick to games for that kind of comfort. An interview with the writers of Persona 5 stated that they saw Persona 3 and 4 as games where the 'protagonists chase the antagonists.' For Persona 5, they wanted the antagonists to chase the protagonists due to the justice that the protagonists believe in. For a JRPG that's very original, but for fiction in general, the underground group of vigilante criminals fighting against a corrupt society has been around for a long time. Robin Hood, for example. Oh, right, that last paragraph has to have a point. Yeah. I'm basically trying to say that the morality of the characters isn't necessarily being made more gray for the sake of increased edginess, since that fear is why I suspect the themes haven't clicked with you yet. I mean, the game does look 'darker' in general, but Atlus are always mature dark, (unless we're talking Persona 2. Zombie cyber Nazis is too stupid for even fanfiction) rather than juvenile-Frank Miller dark.

Star Driver isn't what I'd call bland... It's an overblown show of fabulousness. The plot? Yeah, not much, episodic shonen. Sometimes it's more about the characters and good action, which just isn't what you like. But that's beside the point, half of that anime was overly-fanciness and crazy robin facemask things, whilst juggling school life. And kiraboshi!
Anyway, I'm not really sure what you were trying to say. Persona 5 isn't seeming much darker or edgy, and I don't think it's anything to do with the antagonists chasing the heroes. I think it's really the character design and all the swag. I just liked how humble and realistic/relateable P3 and 4 were. More like a normal group of people striving to fight for justice with only the power of their Personas. The new one is more like a gang of straight up comic book heroes from what we've seen. I like it, but I think I'll still prefer the earlier down-to-earth style.
Well, Wiping All Out is a good song, I mean, it's hard to pick favorites in a series like Persona. But for some reason I'm gonna have to say it's not quite at the top for me. Mass Destruction is like my max style/serious/focus song. Reach Out is the song of my life, and Time to Make History is my max hype and Meikyo Shisui theme. Seriously wish it was on Ultimax, or Instant Kills could be less than just novelty, to hear it more. But even then, most of the hype is from the non-main-melody parts.

Characters are like my favourite thing. What do you think I like again?
Persona has always been about duality. Students by day, secret crime fighters at night. They're just playing up the duality more, especially with the protagonist, who was first introduced to us as looking timid, reserved, and nerdy, and he still looks like that during the day time portions of the trailer, and the other characters look fairly normal too. In earlier games there simply wasn't much of a contrast between the character's everyday selves and their 'true' selves fighting Personas in the TV or Tartarus. Trust me I'm a puuurfessional.

It's coming out in April in Japan which means we're probably not getting it until 2016 (if at all), but...Bravely Second.
There is a demo though for Japan (2 months old news) and it seems to, as a sequel should, retain a lot of the old while making new. There seems to be some sort of gunner class now. I only just now saw this stuff about BS, so I'm gonna report back when I have more research.
