That choke was a shame, but it didn't cost the match. Your partner still had that, that Captain Falcon was seriously desperate, starting to use only unsafe moves, and getting constantly outplayed, but that despeRaptor Boost with Rage KO'd way too early. But I guess even gambling tactics is a skill. What's with the commentators frowning upon the share-stock at the end? They really think DK alone has a better chance against two players with two stocks, when one is a projectile camper? You held your own pretty well in the end there against them, but they were a little disrespectful. On another note, I got Cloud and Roy a little while back, and... they're the only two I play now. I more or less dropped Shulk, since they're both more of what I liked about him. I still have Robin and Palutena on the side because I love their characters. Those commentators weren't very good. They didn't know much about what was going on and didn't remotely stay "eSports" in their commentary. I corrected them twice mid-match, if I recall since I could hear them as they were about four feet to my right. I know it didn't cost us the match, but we would've definitely won if I had stayed alive. Town and City's low blastzones plus a rage side B makes for stupidity. These guys actually made it to Loser's semis before getting knocked out too... That aside, Cloud is pretty cool, I agree. I've had a change in mains too; I main Ness now...in the end, I've always liked Ness despite my hatred for how braindead he can be, and tons of people (like those commentators) think Bowser's just as braindead as Ness. I got tired of being treated like trash while still maining a mid/low tier, so I just said "screw it" and decided to main someone who plays similarly to Bowser but is better. EDIT: Also, here's an online set I had on Anther's Ladder, if you want to watch it. This Toon Link, despite having pretty poor judgement, has some crazy tech skill.

It's weird seeing you in a tournament video like that. Even if it was a small tournament, and even if there were chokes. But yeah it's weird. Like I personally know someone whose moving up in the competitive scene. Or, 'existing' in the competitive scene. Like I could personally be there if I made the effort. Or not. It's not like I practice. Or care that much.
Good job.

No problem. Close match.
Wow some of those were close but I spent a lot of time getting slaughtered, GG.
I'm really enjoying Corrin. Still learning they work and fumbling about with the moveset/trying experimental things, specifically the side special and the Bair, so thanks for the matches.
Bayonetta though? Seems good but I haven't enjoyed playing her so far. She feels a little sluggish, but she has a ton of range and unique properties. And witch time is fantastic.

Good games. sorry to cut it short. I'm having trouble with headaches and they're just getting worse the more i play. I'll be on tomorrow though.

Nah never mind, it was a good match to end things on. You shouldn't play because of a headache anyway.

The sword hitbox is hilarious. Side-B is really great though.

Huh... did I get worse with Corrin over night, or am I actually better with Bayonetta? Bayobetter? She felt sluggish when I first tried to use her. Maybe I just like the large range on most of her moves and the chip damage she can get with the bullets after almost every attack. With Corrin I'm always trying too hard to land side B but the timing is something I haven't yet gotten the hang of...
Ran into a typical FG Cloud, and was definitely doing Bayobetter with her compared to Corrin. Even managed to get a 40% kill with Bayo's down smash while he was on the ledge.
Also witch time. I wish I'd remembered to save the match. I witch timed Cloud's limit break whirlwind special and finished the match with forward smash while he was still in mid animation. One of the most satisfying things I've done in this game.

Also, if you're having trouble sticking Corrin's side-B, you can actually do it in the first 5(?) frames of the leap if you press to send out the spear then. It's easy to do if you do side B and just slide your finger to A.

Oh wow that would help a lot, I figured you had to wait much longer when doing it from the ground.
I'll practice that for a bit and see if that improves my Corrin game. They seem to be more popular than Bayonetta though, that's the impression I'm getting? I haven't exactly played all that much FG yet. Who knows. I like both, and at least now I can stop using Cloud, who everyone uses.
