It's amazing what I missed the first time around, like the CMC together in episode 1 when they shouldn't have met, or how often AJ grabs RD's tail.

I personally love this episode. It might be one of my favorite. I thought this episode was cool, even if there was some unexplained plotholes. Also there will probably be no episodes next saturday because it's Christmas weekend.

And although I can defend it saying that even if Discord ruled before Celestia and Luna it doesn't mean that he founded Equestria, if it wasn't for the fact that [spoilers] they showed at the end the Equestria flag which clearly showed Celestia and Luna on it. Even though the duo wasn't even mentioned throughout the play. I don't know why but that really didn't sit well for me. Good episode nonetheless. [/spoilers] |

The most likely explanation is that the flag is an anachronism. I think they just used the current flag of Equestria in the play so that it would be recognized as being Equestria.
Another interesting thing is that Celestia and Luna are currently in control of the sun and moon, but before, the unicorns were in charge. This means raising the sun and moon isn't done through special alicorn magic, but just require a lot of regular magic.

Where's Rainbow Dash?
