Pretty cool; nothing to terribly run screaming about IMO but it was quite nice to see the ponies in action again  It was nice to see another solution that didn't involve a giant rainbow crashing down on the villain. Hopefully this means no more Deus ex Machina plot resolutions from the elements! I did enjoy the world-building and how it tied everything together. And the introduction of a new plot device, although it could be that it doesn't get brought up again like that mysterious book in the Season 3 premiere. Discord was great in this episode; even though he's reformed he's still the spirit of chaos and I love how he's just like oh yeah, all these are leftover from when I was evil. And it seems like this episode (unintentionally?) addressed the people freaking out about how alicorn Twi ruined the character dynamic of the show. The lesson was literally that nothing can change Twi's relationship with her friends, whether it be them losing the connection with the elements or Twi being in a different social class. |

 No, really, I loved every bit of this 2-parter. With it, and the following artworks n' junk I saw after it; Hadn't laughed this hard since I saw my very first episode. Bravo. |

According to the Wiki's episode listing, Power Ponies doesn't air until the week before Christmas ...  This episode was alright, I think. One-liners from Pinkie Pie are always good |

At most, it will be Pinkie and 'Sandwich' in an obscure duet, trying to out-do the other one. Hilarity will ensue from this, if my prediction is correct. On another note, I shouldn't have laughed at this gif as much as I did. I've already seen said .gif, and yea, it is rather morbid. But it's also pretty silly just because of the fact AJ shares that same aspect with Batman(Or at least they imply it), to which the former is using a cape to make bat wings. |

Regarding the season 4 finale: It's kind of saying something when the only being to ever overpower Discord by force (when he's not being an overconfident brat) is a monstrous villain who has the power of ALL pegasi, unicorns, and earth ponies combined. This thing is really stinking OP. I'm really happy with the finale though. Seeing Twilight with that much power was insane and pretty awesome. And I honestly didn't see it coming that Discord's real reform would be tied in with Twilight's key. I DIDN'T. I TRULY DIDN'T. But I thought it was brilliant. Of course I was a teeny bit disappointed with the climactic turnaround as usual. Hasbro really doesn't seem to want to get away from the giant blasts of friendship magic making everything better. Not that I have any better ideas how to resolve the episodes... And in the end, MLP is still a girls' show that committed to the friendship theme way before this started soooo yeah. While the notion of friendship as literal magic is interesting, it's getting a little old as the resolution for everything that comes Equestria's way. Couldn't friendship solve problems in other ways, too? Nonetheless, this finale still slides somewhere into my top episodes--not the very top, but somewhere up there.  R.I.P. I loved season 4! Especially 'Bats'. Also, loved the Celestia vs Nightmare Moon flashback! All very good stuff! |
