Ace Attorney animeeeee! Also caught up with Digimon Tri. Now I wish I didn't, because I wouldn't have cared as much and could've waited until September for the 3rd movie to come out. Now I'm all hyped and I can't wait that long

Kiznaivir? I mean I'll watch it. I probably would have been really into it a year or two ago, so I guess I find it charming now. I don't really like Okada though, and this seems like the type of show that's primed to be disappointing. Unlike Erased, which looked like it was going to be good before letting me down.
Apparently Hero Academia and Flying Witch are supposed to be good. I'll probably be checking out Big Order, too, since it's by the Mirai Nikki author.

So im just going to briefly cover some anime ive recently watched or just really want to talk about
Konosuba: pretty hilarious and anime of that season, Megumin is best girl. Explosion/10
Grimgar: A1 studio's is a coinflip for me, they either make something bad/horrible (SAO/Ass war) or they make grimgar, grimgar was a nice change of pace from other "Trapped in a fantasy world" anime. Its character interaction is on point and its artwork/soundtrack is fantastic. Shame A1 dropped the ball on the last few episodes. 7/10
Ass war (Asterisk wars): its got a nice color scheme, everything else can basically be summed up by the name I gave it and i've only seen 1 episode and I quite honestly dont want to watch any more and pretty much the worst thing ive seen come from A1 studios. lmao/10
Ace attorney anime: I honestly dislike this. A bunch of little things about add up to pissing me off. The animation quality is mediocre, I cant tell if its aiming for people who have never played the games or if they are aiming for the people who have played the games. and honestly i feel like their doing either one poorly. However the moments that are anime unique are really nice and add more to the Ace Attorney name. Ultimately im not dropping this unless they horribly bomb some aspects.

1. I see a digibro fan up there. ^^^^^^ 2. I feel the same way about the AA anime, and it's funny you mention A-1 because they made it too. I'm just going to assume you're referring to the moment with Phoenix/Naruhodo and Maya/Mayoi at the end of episode 2 as what stood out. At least, that's what stood out to me.

1. I see a digibro fan up there. ^^^^^^ . im not gonna lie, i like digibro. but most of the time i disagree with him. EDIT: finished episode 2 of asterisk wars. Can confirm, its still bad. Edit 2: Finished the 3rd episode of Ass war. Can confirm, its the second worst thing ive ever watched.

I assumed that was a reference to him. Also, yeah, Asterisk Wars is terrible.

Yeah I call it that thanks to him, the name fits tbh. Now i contemplate on continuing the series to see if it gets worse, or dropping it. There are benefits to both sides, If i finish it, I can say i finished it. And it will allow me to appreciate average/good anime far more. But that would mean to continue watching it. Or i could drop this train wreck and save myself from suffering. Such a hard choice.

So, the Ace Attorney anime... Episode 4 came out. It's depressing how poorly this is being done. The writing and pacing are pretty good (though that's likely because it's all written out there for them already), but the animation is bad for any character not named Maya (who seems to have 90% of the animation budget just thrown into her), the voice actors are okay at best except for, again, Maya, and THEY USED CRAPPY CG MODELS FOR THE JURY/CROWD WHY WOULD YOU PUT SOMETHING SO OBVIOUSLY BAD IN YOUR ANIME OH WAIT IT'S A-1 PICTURES THEY'VE DONE THIS BEFORE TOO It can be legitimately funny at times, such as with Redd White's broken Engrishanese and crazy personality, but I keep noticing a ton of little things (mostly in the animation) that are just really jarring and annoying. Like at one point, Phoenix is rustling through papers and they literally just had an animation for it and prolonged it by reversing it.

I was rewatching Future Diary a few days ago. I originally watched it maybe 2 years ago all in one night with subs on and i loved it. Been meaning to watch it for like half a year but never got around to it til a bit ago. Decided to watch it in english this time and i gotta say, at the start it was kinda rough but they really ramped it up later on. Was definitely worth watching again, very happy i did.
Watching Twin Star Exorcists cause i caught the manga a few months ago but heard it was getting a anime and decided to wait. I like it, animation is good, voices are appropriate, storyline seems pretty generic but i don't particularly mind that.
Big Order is another one on my watch list, of course it is seeing how it's made by the same author as Future Diary. I'm sure it'll devolve into stupid lunacy like Future Diary did, but i can't wait and i'm really enjoying it for now.
Also watching My Hero Academia, but i've been reading the manga for a while so it's nothing new. It's a really good adaption though, probably top 5 new anime in the past year that i've watched.
Any of you watching Kiznaiver, Maiyoga, or Endride?
A month or so ago i watched Soredemo Machi wa Mawatte Iru. It was hilarious, i ended up reading all of the manga once i had finished. Definitely worth a watch or read if you're looking for something lighthearted that's actually entertaining.
Oh yeah, i also watched Digimon Tri. It's uhhh... Not quite what i wanted, and i'm not sure if i like it or not. Its pacing is soooooo slow, but finally, like 8 episodes in, it's starting to get interesting. If it wasn't a property full of nostalgia i would've dropped it ages ago, but as is i'm just waiting and watching and kinda just looking at it like it's my brother's cat and he just pooped outside of his litter box. Apparently it's only a third of the way through though, so maaaaaybe it'll redeem itself? Maybe? I hope...?

Al and I are watching Kiznaiver. It's good so far but there are definite places I can see it going that I won't like.
Big Order, though... It's the best worst show around this season. Your statement about it implies it's not already lunacy.

Finally started watching Jojo again. I got 3 episodes into the first season over a year ago and then just stopped.

More summing up what ive been watching!
Jokers game: Pretty good spy based drama series, would recommend.
Kumomiko: I cant tell if I enjoy this because I like it because of its writing or if its animation. I find it pretty decent and it has its funny moments. Would recommend if your into cutesy anime that go no where.
Ace attorney: Its improving? I find myself enjoying it more and more each episode.
My hero Academia: Honestly, I didnt want to watch this, it has the chance of being a long running shounen, and im not exactly a fan of those. However this has my full attention. I will reccomend this highly

Should probably have mentioned this a while back.
I have a Crunchyroll subscription, and since Steve introduced me to Rabbit (although I heard about it from Thaddie first) me, Steve, and sometimes Indigo and Ultima have been watching anime on Saturdays. We've been following Kiznavier, which we rather like, and for some reason we've been watching Big Order despite it being pretty terrible. If anyone else wants to come along, feel free!

I like Big Order T_T. It's stupid entertaining bullshit, it's basically Jojo if it was written by Future Diary guy, how can you not like that?
MHA is actually one of the best Shonen i've ever read and the anime is a really good adaption. Give it a chance if you haven't already, it's probably worth it.
