Gah, title space ran out. Anyway, this is where you suggest one or two borgs (you have to pick one....) for people to use in a force on a playthrough. The rules are you cant change the borgs and you can only use that one force(if i understood claxus's post in the daily gotcha thread(which a moderator(probably death eye or njay ( ))) will link in this text somewhere hopefully) for the whole playthrough. Try and pick borgs that are lower in cost but are well rounded too. My suggestions are sonic samurai or sword knight.

Was making a thread, and got Teleport Ninja'd. Wasn't gonna run out of title text with 'Friendship Run!' If you didn't see in The Daily Gotcha Thread, we're planning to play through the game, but limited to using only certain borgs... Borgs given to us. By you guys, of course. A Friendship Run! I'll also document parts of my playthrough, somehow. Maybe some pictures, narratives of certain battles I found amusing, a Gotcha diary, and I'll likely upload videos of some of the more decisive battles, as I draw the power of all my friends here through squadrons of your borgs. I want it to be fun, obviously, and I love Cyber Ninja and Beam Gunner as much as anyone else, but I'd really prefer a team of borgs that take more skill to use (i.e. not Gold Hero, but Cyber Hero), are really quirky and survive on gimmicks (i.e. Copy Man, Build/Megaton Robot, Angel Borgs), even lolzy stuff (like Carrier Helicopter or the bugs) for the comic relief of the team, and generally anything that needs more strategy than charging a huge beam (G-Reds and Shogun Samurai are out of this picture). Cost doesn't really matter, just any borg you like that's relatively skill or strategy based. For a fun and gimmicky adventure. Metal also thought it'd be a fun thing to do, so go ahead and suggest for us. The rules: Not much. We just have a pool of borgs created by everyone here, and since it's obviously going to exceed the force limit, we just select from those borgs as we see fit for each mission. For the sake of efficiency or whatever, we decided it'd be better to just have everyone contribute two borg suggestions, and we'll choose one of the two for our playthroughs.
Borg Pool: Metal - Sonic Samurai / Sword Knight Death Eye - Spike Knight / Victory Tank Frozn - Time Bomber / Wire Girl Clax - Teleport Ninja / Copy Man Njay - Tar Diver / Sekhmet Witch Carigun - Blue Striker / Carigunrier Helicopter Spike - Hammer Robot / Megaton Robot Steve - Pop Honey / Death Borg Delta II VerdantShade - Tao Master / Alien Insect Taz - Shadow Girl / Arrow Ninja Megatonrobot - Switching Ninja / Acceleration Ninja

So it's like that thread I posted a billion years ago about beating the game with only seven Borgs except everybody else picks the Borgs. Interesting idea. Are you using the same pool of Borgs? And if so are you going to restrict yourselves from using your own contributions to the pool (i.e. if I do it I use all of them but the Spike Knight)?

Eh i think its more like up to you wether or not you use your own borg.
If i used my own, id use sword knight because im better with sonic samurai, so to not make it too easy on myself ill use swordy.
I think everyone should put one or two borgs for us to pick from, and everyone is free to choose from that pool.

With what I had planned, what we suggest isn't really relevant to our own playthrough. You guys contributed borgs to my list, but Metal's list is still just the measly Teleport Ninja from me. I also added Teleport Ninja to my own list as a self-contribution (which may or may not stay in the list).
But if you and Metal want, we can just start sharing that bigger list, and we'll all use the same borgs, including those we suggested ourselves.
Still, I completely missed your topic before. Or... You registered a few months before me here, so was it during that time span? I mean, I dunno, pretty sure I would have posted there if I saw it back then. And how'd it go?

It was a little over a year ago, back when I decided I was going to fill the Warehouse on my extra memory card and glitch myself some rare G Blacks and other such things. And it was presented more as a hypothetical "How would YOU do it?" sort of thing. Then it devolved into a discussion about how hard it would be to beat a well-played Dragon that never really went anywhere. Also I'm probably not going to end up doing a run of my own, I'm in the middle of seeing how high I can get the battle counter at the end of the game while I level up some Borgs. Maybe, though, after all it's not like any of us is going to do a run with so few Borgs suggested at the moment.

Also DE challenge accepted XD jk id die sooo fast. Edit: also i remember that thread.

Edited my first post to clarify everything now that it's settled, and added the current list to select from. Though maybe it's better if you put it on the first post.

My suggestions: Tar Diver / Sekhmet Witch
Talk about underused. Man, the divers and the witches never seem to get any attention, positive or negative. At least Carrier Heli is famous for being bad (imo it's not too bad but whatever). Well I think they hvae interesting gimmicks that will make the game a little interesting. I was originally going to suggest Vampire Knight instead of Tar Diver, but then I figured everyone would just pick him.
All these melee suggestions... Galactic Emperor fight is going to suuuuuck.

Death Saucer or Beam Satellite to make GE easier

All these melee suggestions... Galactic Emperor fight is going to suuuuuck. It'll make it much more fun than the usual G-Red or Drill Robot. The list's not that bad so far, though. Sword Knight has his shield throw and close range wind scars... Sonic Samurai, well, he's kinda screwed. Spike Knight can probably last a while. Time Bomber's shots are good... Maybe he can deal huge damage with the mines? But good luck with my suggestions... Teleport Ninja's gonna have to be a newtype if he fights GE. And Copy Man... Well, he can watch as he dies? And Tar Diver and Sekhmet Witch... Never used any of them. I think I'll go with Tar Diver because it's funnier, and he might have some niche strategy to bring in some fights. Death Saucer or Beam Satellite... I don't really want to use those, or any fortress borg. They could be exclusive for the final battle, I guess? But it might be too easy.

Death Eye - Spike Knight / Victory Tank. I would say Titan Tank but the lack of good GE-killers would make it an obvious choice.

so what do i get to play with? just bear in mind i only have one of each borg Look at the list at the bottom of the second post. We're picking one of the borgs from each person. Are there any non-fortress borgs you like that don't spam lasers? Updated the list... Yeah, Wire Girl and anything with wires is so fun. That's why I'm secretly hoping someone brings Carrier Helicopter or Arrow Ninja to the table. And does Sekhmet Witch really need a partner? She's obviously not much with offense, but shrinking lowers stats, and her shots and melee have average power.

Arrow Ninja is an awesomely epic borg, and a dangerous one both on his own, but much moreso in 2v2 Sekhmet witch is fine against anything that isn't a fortress/large dragon, but the Almighty types are going to be tough. The first thing that came to mind for me was the Combined Machine borg battle at the Construction Site, and also the hard-modo Defeat the DF units with multiple Cyber Ninjas and Beam Wing Reds. Yay beam spam and bad camera angles?

This is apparently become a rather popular topic. Props on the idea clax!
Also i propose an adendum, where if you pick one of the choices offered and fail miserably you can exchange it for the other borg suggested.
IE i pick sonic samurai, and get utterly destoryed like 12+ times in a row, i can switch him for sword knight. But only for sword knight. Because that was the only other borg i suggested.

Maybe like one or two times total? I don't really think you could get stuck with any combination of these borgs so far, but it wouldn't hurt to have an emergency switch or two. I would love to actually get stuck somewhere, though, and then try to make a force that can get through the mission with some strategy.
