Sigilyph is brilliant. It has reliable recover access, a large base spatk and speed, surprisingly large bulk and also, the thing that makes it so great; Magic Guard. Since magic guard allows you to avoid the bad effects from poison and burn (obvs the attack drop still happens but Sigilyph is special so yeah) you could equip it with a toxic/burn orb, make it so you can avoid sleep, para, freeze and then use Psycho Shift to give the status to your opponent. You can also then abuse the cosmic/stored power combo on him to make an untouchable sweeper - something rarely seen. Definitely. I use a set of Bulk Up/Superpower/Earthquake/Stone Edge @leftovers myself, and it works brilliantly. It has so much attack AND natural bulk I can't quite believe, I think when I used it, it could take TWO full power Draco Meteors from Latios. That's more than just good. 1) Reuniclus is bulkier, has more Hp, and an awesome Sp.Attack stat, plus Magic guard.\ Of course, Sigigylph is faster, but Reuniclus has Trick room to take advantage of its crappy speed. and they both have reliable recovery, via Recover/Roost. 2) I never knew Throh was very good. I knew Scrafty was a great wall who could use Shed skin/rest, along with Bulk up, Drain Punch, and Dragon tail @ Leftovers. But I never knew Throh was bulky. You didn't read what I put on how to use Sigilyph. Reuniclus doesn't learn Cosmic Power OR Stored Power, thus meaning that it cannot utilise the unique strategy that Sigilyph can, making your point invalid. If you had said Clefable was a better version then I would have to agree, but that can still get crippled by paralysis. And yeah, Throh's bulkier than you might expect.

No, Clefable has acess to Magic guard as well. Yeah, but Magic Guard doesn't affect paralysis at all.

It still can use a Toxic orb on itself though.

I got no shinies at all.
And I could honestly care less.
As long as the pokemon in question is capable of kick a LOT of ass, I am good with the world.

Only shiny I own is a special Crawdaunt that I got in a trade for my Zekrom.
The only shiny I've encountered is a Hariyama in Victory Road from Sapphire. Which reminds me...
I WILL FIND WHOEVER THOUGHT GIVING HARIYAMA WHIRLWIND WAS A GOOD IDEA AND PUT THEM INTO A WORLD OF PAIN!

It still can use a Toxic orb on itself though. Yeah, but the point of giving Sigilyph the Toxic Orb/Burn Orb is so that it can use Psycho Shift to transfer the status to something else @.@

Ok..... Reuniclus has Magic guard. Reuniclus has trick. Yes but Reuniclus can't learn cosmic power or stored power >.< My point is, the strategy that makes Sigilyph worth using utilises; -Cosmic Power -Stored Power -Psycho Shift -Roost/Hidden Power Fighting @toxic Orb/Flame Orb/Leftovers A moveset which no other pokemon can utilise due to Sigilyphs Magic Guard. Cosmic Power and Stored Power provide the main attacking and defending moves. Psycho Shift to get rid of status if you run leftovers or to give status an infinite amount of times through magic guard if equipped with toxic/flame orb. Roost provides reliable recovery, HP fighting means that you hit dark types. Sigilyphs speed means that it usually can get 2 cosmic powers in before any attack (one on the switch, one before the opps counter) which is what makes it so great.

Ok, no one else can do exactly that, but Clefairy/Clefable was used for that last gen.
It gets cosmic/stored power. It got trick via 4th gen move tutor. It got recover. And it HAS MAGIC GUARD.
It can do almost the exact same thing, plus, bulkier. A tiny bit slower, but more bulky. I've actually seen that set before, but only once.
It can initially run the same set because Clefable gets trick to transfer status from Toxic/burn orb, while still keeping the status to protect it from Paralysis. Clefable can initially run the same set!

Except Clefable can only bounce the status once. Sigilyph can bounce it as many times as it damn well pleases. Also, Clefable has to be a lot more careful about tossing it around since a lot of its counters (y'know, Fighting types) are stocked with Guts. So not exactly the wisest possible decision.

You can tell I don't play Pokémon that much by the fact that I just now caught that Volcarona in the Relic Castle. Now I'm trying to get an Excadrill with Crush Claw for some reason.
