*Sells 360 and gets PS3, Guilty Gear R+ patch comes out three days later* I'm gonna be lonely for a long time I guess. If only the stupid PS4 was backwards compatible... I decided to wait for the US release of blazblue to import it... because money.

Chrono Phantasma's finally out in two days...
No word on an EU release, but the PS3 isn't region locked, at least. And nothing stupid like Persona 4 Arena's locking.

I definitely need to buy a PS3 now. Although I wont be able to afford the game in time to get the Terumi pre-order bonus... hmm, maybe I'll wait it out a while.

So has anyone else here gotten Chrono Phantasma. I recently got a copy and would like someone to play with.

Might as well place this here, a video of the Top 8 from the Blazblue EVO finals. It's pretty hype.

I decided to get Chrono Phantasama on PS3, it's really fun stuff and Relius has only gotten better. The only problems I had sliping back into him is that the PS3 controller feels somewhat different to a 360 controller, more specifically the control stick. I think the criteria for inputs have a few millimeters difference (maybe not even that much, but certainly enough to throw me off initially) other than that, I literally had to modify only one part of my Relius corner combo to get back into the swing of things.
I'm feeling like I should learn Terumi or Izayoi...

I think I'll try to get it very soon now. Skipped out on it due to little incentive, but Al finally got a PS3 and the game, and with a certain someone's return, that makes two.
I'd probably stick with Bang, and Carl, and pick up Hakumen along the way.
The PS3 controller is strangely iffy, though... I thought it would be better for a fighting game, but the analog is just so huge that it's awkward to do quick inputs. And the d-pad seemed perfect for fighters at first, but it doesn't feel as solid as I'd hoped, still feels a bit like the 360's, where it's like pushing around a plate.

I personally like the PS3 D-Pad more, but analogue sticks still feel better to me. And the analogue stick for me isn't necessarily better or worse than the 360 control as far as I'm concerned, it's just different, and requires adjusting either way.

Anyone here play as Azrael? I've recently been subbing him and I have a blast playing as him. It's so satisfying in my opinion to smash opponents with him.

Azrael's movement doesn't make him fun for me, I wasn't as satisfied as I wanted to be whilst playing through arcade mode with him. Plus, he's a cannibal. Let that sink in.

Hey it's not ever explicitly stated whether or not he's just using those cannibal terms as just a euphemism. Yeah, I agree Azrael's movement was difficult to get used to at first but I find it interesting that it also allows him to do quick steps to the opponent. So out of the new characters, what are people's favorite and least favorite.

I'm fairly sure Jin mentioned it in his arcade mode, but the internet is being very obtuse about it. I was kinda half-joking anyway, I use Relius so I'm not one to talk.
I think Bullet is probably my least favorite new addition (not that interesting in any sense) and either Terumi (very fun distortion abuser/curb-stomper) or Izayoi (teleports!) are my favorites. Then again, I haven't really had the chance to try out either Kagura or Kokonoe yet (then again I heard Kokonoe is stupidly broken at present, so I wouldn't like her gameplay that much anyway though her personality is gold)

I like all the new characters, though none of them really click with me that much. I mean... I guess I'm a bit partial to Bullet, I really like her fighting style, and also my favorite of the new themes. Plus I read something about her and Bang becoming good acquaintances during the story. The rest are cool characters but not my thing.
I do look forward to Celica, though. Another Nirvana user sounds great, though I'm a bit turned away at how they function like a normal characters with two sprites glued together.

Having seen some more of her scenes in story mode, I'm actually liking Bullet's personality, and she and Bang have started becoming fairly good pals.. I just hate controlling her.
But yeah, I really like Izayoi and Terumi. I think I'll learn Izayoi, because I checked the rankings and Terumi is the most used character online by a good thousand or so players, at least in ranked matches. I've only been able to try Kagura once during a story match (I'm kind of plowing through it at this point so that I can unlock him) and I wasn't fully impressed, not to mention the Kagura's online haven't been hugely fun to fight... one Kagura did Astral me, but I 2-0 the same guy two matches in a row after that. Weird. Another Kagura had like 60 matches and one victory or something. It was pretty depressing. Kagura's personality is also far too lecherous for me to be really comfortable with him, otherwise I think I'd like him.
But yeah, Celica looks really interesting. I've seen some recent Loketest footage and she has a super which heals her. Once she uses it, it only heals a slight amount, but it looks like she can charge the super indefinately to heal to full health, although that will be impossible since the other opponent can interfere. However, her health continued to heal slightly even after the super ended, so it looks like the distortion will be a great combo ender. She may not have Kokonoe's infinite blockstrings, but I'm willing to bet that she'll be considered a top tier character. Still, story mode seems to revolve around her, pretty much.
I don't understand why Lambda is being added separate to Nu, though. I understand that they're different, but how different can they really be to justify her presence in the roster? The sprite could have been altered at least, if only to remove the mask.
I'm hoping the next Blazblue will have Saya/Nine/Jubei playble. I think it's about all the fans are asking for at this point, though I didn't really appreciate how powerful Saya really is until I booted up story mode... I guess you can't kill death after all. Seems as though the Master Unit will have to spontaneously grow a personality and knock her down a peg, even if it was damaged, but I guess I'll have to finish Story first to really make that kind of speculation.

Checked some videos of Bang, and the changes are quite impressive... He was honestly a little dull in playstyle before, but he has far more options now, and his combos look much better. Amazing new super, too, and more practical FRKZ.
Carl looks much unchanged... His overdrive is disappointing. Still gonna try to get good with him because I like him, but technical isnt my style. He may be taking a backseat, since... Bullet looks more fun than I thought. Like a much faster Bang with a burning charge gimmick.
I'm a little late here, but I'm starting to hype now, as I'll be getting the game in a week.

Curses, I knew my controller was gimp. Struggled with some basic inputs like half circles or diagonal jumps. Training showed I missed some directions in my inputs... Dunno if it's really just my controller or if I just press too lightly as it's weird sweeping big motions across 4 little pegs... But I had to force myself to start using the analog. It's actually pretty good after getting used to it, nice and soft and inputs feel silky smooth.
Wow, Bang got so many more overhauls than I thought. A lot of his moves changed and he got a few new ones, and now he's one of the hardest characters to learn, but I got back into the groove with him.
Carl... I'm sad. They took away his only combo with Nirvana that could summon her to do the combo no matter where on the screen both of them were. Now Carl has no true BnB as any combo will be position specific. He got a good bit of other nerfs, too, with one new decent Nirvana attack. Dunno how I feel about it, he's harder than ever to play now.
I spent a while getting used to Hakumen today, got some good progress, already getting the hang of him and his combo basics. He's such a cool guy. Not sure if I want to main him or not.

Hakumen scares me half to death whenever I meet him online. Those damn sword swings! Such reach and power.
Anyway, when am I getting your PSN name so that I can friend you Claxus?
