Oh come on guys, surely it wouldn't be hard to use content from all the other mario platformers they've been bringing out at an alarming rate recently and bring that out with that one extra gimmick?

Umm, thats purely aesthetic and wont affect the core gameplay, really, I dont know much about the game but the super mario world map if I recall only allowed for slight changes in order, I didn't find that too special especially since the newer games already have imaginative map screens. No, I was referring to the ability to place down blocks using the Wii U remote touch screen. THAT is a gimmick that actually looks interesting, but isn't something that will change the way the game plays in the long run. I think the game will be fun, but I think mario platformers are starting to stagnate. Oh well, as long as people are buying them, it will pay for all the paper marios I need.

I can't say the "touch to put platforms gimmick" sounds all that great to me. I mean, the fun part about platformers is jumping on platforms with the fear of falling. If your friend sticks little platforms everywhere, it defeats the purpose of platforming, you know? And yeah, the World Map is just something visual. It doesn't mean the actual levels will reflect SMW's levels, you'll just be able to access different levels depending on which route you choose. Hopefully though, the level design IS like SMW, and the game IS actually NEW and adds a lot of cool new content that hasn't been in a Mario game yet. I'd buy that if that was so. Rikuseroth, iirc, NSMBU is probably already finished. It's a launch game, so you won't have to wait on development. November 18th is when it'll hit shelves.

While I do see your point, I disagree. Look at SMB3's map. All of its levels and paths are clearly visible (except that one hidden area in world 2 that only gave you a whistle and a frog suit), so you know where you're going and on what path before you get there. If you have any trouble finding a level, you're either blind or in world 8, in which case you're an idiot because the levels are all in a linear path in world 8. The NSMB series doesn't do much better; it at least hides its hidden paths, but aside from NSMBW 7-6 and the endgame from what I've seen you already know the levels exist, you just have to get to them. Compare to SMW. It has hidden paths and actual hidden levels. It doesn't seem like much because we presumably all are familiar with most if not all of the levels already (as it tends to be with a 20-year-old game), but when you think about it it actually does have the potential to change the experience substantially. Whereas in the previous NSMBs a secret path was only ever a shortcut (or in a few isolated instances an actual level), this time it could very well be an entirely different path like Vanilla Dome 1's secret exit. Not to mention the fact that the only indication that Soda Lake exists is a single forgettable text box in Donut Plains 1, for example, meaning one could potentially not even know a level exists for 5 years. It really depends on their execution, but it could be a substantially different experience from the previous NSMB games, even if it doesn't affect the core platforming elements.

Sega, Namco Bandai and Capcom crossover. What. Project X Zone sounds awesome. (Pronounced Project Cross Zone)
For the 3DS. Chances of a release outside Japan? Slim to none my bets. Would be awesome if it did though.

Why do you have to remind me of this game. . .
A game with an improved battle system of Super Robot Taisen: OG Saga (one of my top 3 favorite RPGs), where I can team up its main character Haken Brownng with Dante (two of my top favorite video game characters), and other characters from awesome games like Gods Eater, Tales series, Mega Man...
But for real, Haken is just awesome (he shows up at 10:12-10:25, desperado-esque guy, not the guy in red). He was a great, sarcastic, and witty character in his game. Along with Dante, who is kinda similar, just a much more fleshed out character.
The gameplay, despite automatic, is SRT:OGS-ish. It's mostly one button, and each button press does an automatic combo, you have to time the start of each combo to keep juggling enemies. It's basically just timing button presses to juggle enemies (also calling in Assist combos, and other RPG stuff), but it just works so well, I actually loved grinding on OG Saga... I usually describe it as a DMC RPG, because it's pretty much the DMC of RPGs with over-the-top SSStyle and combos.
But, I may never get to play it. . .

Sega, Namco Bandai and Capcom crossover. What. Fun fact, it's developed by a Nintendo first party studio, Monolith Soft. So it's a Sega, Namco Bandai, and Capcom crossover, made by a studio owned by Ninty lol. (to be fair, Monolith had a lot of ties with Namco before they were bought up by Ninty, so it's not really a suprise they'd be working with them...but it's still funny to look at lol)

Oh yeah, did you guys hear? Ace Attoryney 5 and Layton vs. AA has been confirmed for a western release I don't play either, but my gf plays AA, so she's happy lol. They're both coming to 3DS though, so she'll need to get another system, but it's still cool that they're getting localized.

New Megaman game: X Over
Note the "iOS" at the top. <_< I'm sure it'll come to a dedicated gaming system eventually....

Wow, the dislikes on that video. Looks similar to Network Transmission with the chips and 2D platforming. Also, attack and defense stats in a Megaman game?

Oh, so Capcom actually decided to bring Mega Man back to the scene? Well, it sure is no Legends 2, and it doesn't look that great...

Oh, so Capcom actually decided to bring Mega Man back to the scene? Well, it sure is no Legends 2, and it doesn't look that great... Maybe it's just because the thought of phones being treated as legitimate gaming platofrms irks me, but I don't think this counts as bringing him back. If I didn't know better I'd say they're just doing it to spite the fans and/or Inafune.

I think they're just spiting Inafune lol. I mean...fluffy collar jacket? <_< I know they're cool and all... What's more, the title is Rockman: OVER. Over as in, dead What's more, it's an iOS title. I remember MM games needing precision...(but then again, the second gameplay clip in that video looked a little choppy, so production values might not even need good controls, but I'm just assuming). BUT, for you Megaman fans, there's a fan "indie game"/hack/mod thing in the works, but no release date or anything. Looks cool tough: OH, and a question. Is the starforce megaman the same as NT warrior megaman? I played a little bit of starforce a while back, and i THINK I was playing as Lan, but I don't remember lol. MM looks similar in both too...so...*confused*

SF and BN are not the same, technically speaking. Their battles types are way different. SF you view from behind, and have only three panels to move around on. BN you are in third person (so to speak) and have a 3x3 grid to work with.
Although, as far as story canon goes, Ryuusei no Rockman takes place in the same world as the Battle network games, just in the future.
And they do not look anything alike, Megaman and ...Omega X (or whatever the heck his name is in English) wave-changed Geo. (temped to say War-rock denpa henkan with Subaru.)

What's more, the title is Rockman: OVER. Over as in, dead Normally I'd be the first to jump on the They Killed Mega Man Bandwagon TM, but no, that's not what it is. Note the X and the presence of Storm Eagle at about 0:41. It's clearly a crossover of some sort.
