Dude Kanji isnt even the most OP charcter in the game. Kanji isnt just some insta win that you pick and you can reck anyone. Every charecter is good in this game and Kanji has his flaws too. There is way worse in the game then Kanji, like infinite loop Naotao, or Aigis, or omg so strong Mitsuru.

Sorry M.C., I don't know how you play, but after that it's going to be hard to respect any Kanji player. I've fought pretty much everyone now, even other Kanji players. But on his level of skill and abuse... I was questioning why I was even playing him anymore.
Just what much worse is there? Kanji is a walking pack of invinciiblity and unblockables that can easily do 1/3 of your HP from any hit-confirm.
I've fought other good players using those characters you mentioned, I won some, I lost some, but I didn't really care, because I had a chance. What are Kanji's flaws?

Kanji is kinda clunky, and he dosnt have many options for combos other then strining into his grabs. He can be persona broken really easy if you try and summon your lighting and you miss. Your furious action is awesome, unless the enemy can bait you into it. I don't think you have ever face Aigis when she spams her fire its a lot more bull. Kanji is not the worst part of the game, cause I have seen worse. That Kanji was whoreing himself out with FA, you should of just baited the idiot into screwing up and wiffing it. Plus I think he would really will only mash it if you make it obvious your going to go in on him. Aigis spamming her fire and Ifinite loops are a lot more bullcrap then a Kanji spamming his FA.
Maybe you rageing cause he beat you a lot, I don't know, but its not as bad as you think. Take this from a Kanji player who doesnt play like an FA spamming idiot, hes not the amazingly insta win char you think he is. if you don't run into it you wouldent be hit and screwed over. Bait it dude, act like your going in so he wastes the health then punish.

Or maybe the fact that Aigis can just spam her fire move twice for awesome dmg and Mitsuru is just so strong. I mean there are a lot of things in the game that are bull, like Akihiko haveing a full screen special for no reason when hes a close ranger lol but they all balance themselves out. I think you were just haveing some bad luck man and I hope in the future you kick the crap out of the FA spammers.

I did bait his Furious Action, but it lingers for a few frames, so even after attacking after I blocked it, it would hit me during my next attack. I couldn't counter it even after making him whiff it. It was only part of the problem, and maybe it wouldn't be so bad if such a good counter didn't inflict Paralysis.
The main problem is really that he has invincibility grabs coupled with that FA, and worst of all... His damage output is insane. Just a command grab does a third of your HP. I'm not entirely sure what he was doing, but I know he was using some cancels to chain command grabs, doing an easy 75% HP. He did even more than that by finishing with Supers sometimes.
I know his faults, and I exploit them, but like I said, sometimes I was really close to winning (and won some rounds), but this guy just bounced back with near 100% hp combos, and command grabbing through my super.

Thats Kanji's strength he can deal tons of damage and come back from near death losses. Its just what the char is good at and if he was cancleing into more grabs and such, then he must be an awesome player. Look i'm sorry for the horrible exsperiance with Kanji.
Kanji just shines at dealing tons of damage and makeing comeback victorys cause when you think you have the round in the bag and screw up a Kanji takes advantage of that. I dunno what else to say man, i'm sorry.

@steve: It hardly does much damage, and can only be followed up with a Super or a Sukajaja combo I still can't pull off after hours of trying. It's slow to start up, and like I said, just jump to avoid it and the majority of Yosuke's antics.
I'm fine with characters that can do comebacks, and like I said, the guy was a good player, but he was just chaining the same thing over an over (where he throws you and his Persona stabs you on the ground). He just kept using that in combos and easily did over half of my HP just from chaining it once.
Then again, I question his skill level, when he would sometimes just stand in place spamming the command grab like an idiot (which of course I was able to punish easily).
I just don't think it's fair to lose a third of my HP to a grab, then the rest of it by him throwing out the command grab Awakening Super while I was in the air... I thought I could use my 2C to teleport down with my low kick and finish him off, after he completely missed it, but then I found out that it lingers for a while... So my slide kick just got Super'd. Partly my fault, but still, I died in pretty much two attacks that round.
It's an effort kind of thing... Other characters can barely pull off 4k with Supers and with a tough setup, but his Kanji was doing 5k+ without any burst or meter. Even for a comeback character, I don't feel it's right to lose 80% of my HP to a few attacks easily chained together.

His damage is all in the grabs, without them he pretty much stinks.

Indigo, I've been watching Yosuke gameplay more and more, and Yosuke actually seems to be a very good air fighter too, his main disadvantages being somewhat low damage and lower hp. of course, he's a hit-and-run character, he's supposed to be fragile. Any character can be amazing once he/she is mastered. this skilled player is apparently just decent at covering his weaknesses and comboing.

Well, every character is good in the air, but Yosuke's dash attack and Tentarafoo unblockable become useless, so it's not as big a deal. It's a pretty long animation so the enemy can be prepared for it, and if you don't super, they're left in a position to easily just jump away for three seconds. (Fighting in the air often just got me air-dive-grabbed by Kanji though)
But I don't mind grabs, Kanji's damage is just absurd... He's a little slower than other characters, and I can understand high damage. Heck, I don't even care about Tager despite probably never having beat a player using him, because at least he's really slow and huge.
Kanji's grabs are pretty much invincible and go through supers (one is a large anti-air projectile grab), and can do easy combos into over half your HP with no meter used. I don't think it's fair that only he has that much damage output. He's the slowest character, but not by a whole lot... He has good ranged options to close in, too.

Oh that air dive you are talking about, I think that it cannot hit crouching enemys. So if you see it comeing, crouch.

Meh, the dive grab is the least of my worries, it's pretty weak and doesn't combo. It's just his damage in general... Losing to him constantly in two combos from full HP when he had almost none... It's just not right. He's not even slow besides a clunky dash. I wish I could upload some replays, because I was losing so much HP to combos I could learn in seconds.
Burst is pretty much useless too, his combos don't let you burst till all the damage is done. Well, I'm not saying the game is ruined or anything, but I just don't think it's really fair when the rest of the cast has to do some long combos just for 3k+ while Kanji takes you down in two.
But really, I was actually having fun facing that guy's Kanji, I was like "Whoa, this guy's good." It was almost hard to believe and awesome how I'd just lost both rounds in mere seconds. As time went on, I kept losing match after match and I was trying to figure out just how I could best him... So many times I got close, exploiting his flaws and baiting attacks, but in the end, he'd just come back with a few hits dealing back the 5 combos I just did... It just got old, even though I got the advantage so many times and constantly got him with combos, baited him to miss with his FA and command grab spam, one little mess-up meant I lose the round. Eventually I just lost my excitement of facing someone so 'good' and lost my fighting spirit and desire to improve, because I just couldn't find it possible to beat someone without getting hit once or twice.

This is my problem with Tager. I've always hated Tager for the reasons Claxus has been describing. Although Tager is somehwat difficult to use, but I dont know about Kanji, obviously, especially since I dont plan on using him. I'm sure when people start learning how to counter him Kanji will become much less of a problem, and as Kanji players start learning how to use him effectively, a lot of his cheapness will actually be REDUCED. Mainly because they'll have to use him in such a manner so as not to get baited or countered. Anyway I think every character is just about broken, thats why the game is balanced. At least thats the case in BlazBlue and from what huge amount I know about arena, I'm pretty sure thats also the case.
Also I've had a smiliar expereince to Claxus, although I quit out much sooner I think. So anyway I was in a player match against a random Hazama player. He was really good but I thought I was doing alright against him. A few matches later, he switched to Relius. I was like WTF! I've won now! He cant possibly be so good with two characters! He absolutely decimated me! I felt as though I had been stripped of my identity, ie, a good Relius player... caught in a hugely long mid screen and Ignis combo before being led into an astral finish.

It's always tough to lose some mirror matches, but you can also learn some new tricks with your own character. My first time online on P4A, I made a 3 player room, and two other Yosuke players joined in. We played rotation for a while till my internet disconnected... One was just starting out, and I had some intense battles with the other guy and lost once, but I learned some new tricks. Haven't seen another Yosuke since that first day... But still, with 13 characters mirror matches are more common. Anyway, I wasn't being myself a while ago. i.imgur.com/3mx1A.jpgThe Undaunted Ace is gonna find that Kanji guy and sock him back for each dent in my record!

^ good luck there. If you have a replay of any of your battles with him it should be simple enough to search his gamertag and pester him for a rematch. Although chances are, that Kamina attitude will likely get you killed the same way he was. And his combos weren't my style... there may be good reason I lost if thats the case, but he was using a lot of the challenge mode combos and it went by so quickly I barely remembered what happened, I only remember not being able to react.

I hope you guys arntmade at me for useing Kanji then lol. Hes my favorite Persona 4 character and I just don't like how any of the other ones play. I mean I like grapple chars, if they toned down Kanji's dmg I wouldent be mad I would still play him, but everyone is broken so I don't think they will lol.
Also, I don't play cheap Kanji, I don't just mash my FA and command grab. I actually go for combos useing his weak and strong attacks rather then just spamming his command grab. I got one that gos from his normal attack combo, then insted of short chair guilloten I go for the long one then cancle into the airgrab dive grab, then finish with an added chair guilloteen. Its a really weird combo, and its original I thought of it myself lol.

Well, Kamina's attitude was what got him as far as he went... Sure, Simon saved him a lot but in the end it was just a dumb attack out of nowhere that got him killed. I don't think someone will pop out of the ground to impale me in this game... I'm not mad at you for using Kanji, I get why you use him (I like his character too) and I thought he was fun to use in Training and Arcade mode, but he's a grappler with mobility, it didn't feel right doing so much damage with a character I barely knew how to use, and it only gets worse when someone can do real combos with him. So who are you using mainly? Still using Yosuke almost exclusively. I play Yu for a match or two every now and then.

Hey theres an event running in london next week for this game! I could play it all day long... until I get a headache from all the noise or my Dad, who, if I go, will inevitably have to take me gets bored. Either way great! Shame it's not a tournament so I cant win a copy with my magnificent skills.
