I bought and now have the game, its really fun. I pay Kanji, hes clunky and slow, but he has some good combos. Oh, the humanity... I wish I had the game.

Here we usually get games later than Japan, but you guys always get the short end of the stick... Are they even adding more content (languages) on the PAL version? I don't get it, all regions are supposed to be the exact same (they region locked it so people wouldn't import because all regions are the exact same), so I don't get why we had to wait a few weeks, and why you guys have to wait a whole extra month...
Anyway, I can say you won't be let down for the wait. The main menu plays some Persona 3 remixes! And the game is really cool, but it's gonna take a while to get used to the '2 character buttons, 2 persona buttons'. And like I said, I'll still play Blazblue. Just send me a message, or get on BB and I'll probably play if I see you're playing it.

If ever your online and playing BlazBlue, I'll probably get on there and challenge you. This game sounds so good. I think the reason we have to wait longer is because the publisher for PAL versions are essentially useless.

There is one thing I hate about this game. I like how doing your weak attack makes a small combo thats nice, but I hate how it does moves that require diffrent inputs for you. Its so noobish and it can automatically trigger your special. Its basically like "Hey do you want to not do any work at all and be able to use a long combo? Well just hit square!" Also it activates your special so noobs only have to mash square. Personally I do not use my square combo to its fullest and i'm makeing my own combos so I don't have to rely on this horrible mechanic, its like you don't have to do any real work and it makes me mad that people can just mash square and do a legitamit combo when i'm trying to be creative and not rely on such a dumb thing.
Other then that I love this game, and love playing it.

I decided to give this another chance. after watching some more gameplay videos, I think it actually will be a pretty good game and not just a spinoff cash-in. ...and now I want to play as Teddie. BUT ITS FOR THE F**KING PS3!

The game is also for the Xbox.
Anyway on the subject of noob combos I think they were trying to make it accesible to persona fans who wouldn't necessarily be used to fighting games. If they wanted to do that, I have no idea why they would botch the mechanics like that when they could have just gone for the stylish/technical split like in BlazBlue.

Other then that I love this game, and love playing it. The first 3 hits of the Auto Combo are actually unique normals. The next attack is a special, then a Super. I'm not sure what you mean by long combo, it's 4 hits and special. Generally these combos do around 2400~. Let the newbies or casuals waste their special meter like that. In the meantime, I'll be comboing 3.5k off a standing jab with Yosuke with my meter. Heck, I can pull off 3000 without using any meter. @alberenza: Don't worry about falling behind too badly, I'm sure things won't change drastically next month. Once you learn the controls, you can use any character pretty well. One match online, I switched to Yu (I only know his moveset from playing a bit of Challenge Mode), and I was able to win online against the same guy who beat my Yosuke. Honestly, right now, it's more about skill than combos. Just having good synergy with Yu and Izanagi let me best my opponent without knowing any real combos. And no, I didn't use Auto Combo. In general, the combos that do more than 3000 require some good setup, or starters that are hard to rely on. Anyway, I really do feel for you having to wait so much more... But seriously, I don't think I can bring myself to play Blazblue unless I see you on there first lol.

Yeah, but even as a persona fan it makes me mad that they would make it this easy.

I suppose it's not too worrying then. In top tier metagame play I'm pretty sure the auto combo will be pretty much forgotten or at best used as a means to an end. Also Claxus do you want to play some Blazblue now...?

I'v seen people use it a lot in the things iv watched and some A rankers on oline have used the auto combos too. Its just kinda sad to know they made it so easy.
I have made 4 combos of my own invention so far with Kanji.

Sure, I'll play now. My internet has been disconnecting a lot today so I stopped playing P4A online, though... But it's been a few hours since it d/c so we'll see how long we can play. (Actually it's become such a pain I'll be getting new internet and a router in a few weeks)
Auto Combo to me is like you said, a quick means to an end. I don't get why so many people are bothered by it, in a way it makes me feel relieved that my opponent used their meter just for that instead of a real combo or SP specials. Usually I just bounce right back and return a stronger combo without any meter at all. (And it's easy to bait these kind of players into my Fatal Counter 5.1k Yosuke combo!)
<Will be trying to summon Bang's Persona with C and D>

Meh, they're annoying, but the thing is it's not much harder than something like:
(As Ragna on Blazblue) A > B > D > Carnage Scissors

Actually I find the 632146 inputs incredibly difficult- my control stick and hand was not meant to move like that so fast. I generally have to use a jump or another long animation move in order to use it effectively, so ragna's carnage scissors combos are simply too much for me.

Fun games with Claxus. You know, I think Relius must have been the prototype for just about every character in this game... persona 4 arena... due to the way he uses ignis. It's very similar to the way everyone uses personas, except it fits blazblue. Also, the colour scheme I use for Relius looks a bit like Elizabeth's clothing doesn't it?

Well, Ragna's normal D has a pretty long animation combined with the little time stop with each hit. For some reason, I find the motion really easy, even easier than QCFx2. But I have trouble with the ones that are like, 236-63214, which Bang has two of. And his double semi-circle Astral Heat is unfathomable to me. Oh well, Persona only has QCF/QCBs.
EDIT: To be honest, I thought you used Relius because Ignis is like a Persona, lol. Besides the control scheme and game mechanics, he's really not all that different.

You have to worry about ignis more than you have to worry about your persona I imagine, due to the fact she decreases with use rather than the fact she is hit, but yeah whatever.
Although I realised quite early that Relius was similar to persona 4 arena, before I even got my hands on him actually, thats not entirely WHY I decided to use him, just a bonus. I duuno. Something just clicked. If Relius was in persona 4 arena or any other fighting game, I'd use him. He is the only fighting game character I've ever felt totally in sync with (with the exception of his distortions...) and I'll probably be using him long into BlazBlue: Chrono phantasama. Although as I said, it took me a while to get used to him upon first getting extend but then my skill with him gradually increased.

My favorite fighting game character was Johnny from Guilty Gear. I felt like he was really my style. Johnny's style is iaido, he has some attacks that are like Jin's 25-heat quickdraw slash, and basically lots of good ranged slashes. But he also had some cool flips and kicks, and could throw coins to power up his quickdraw slashes. Also create mist to make them unblockable.
Yosuke is my definite main on P4A, not just because he's a pretty good all-round (somewhat weak in exchange for speed though), but because of his really stylish moveset. Like his flipping slashes and flipping off the enemy. I guess I'm most synced with any character that has cool/fancy moves, since that's what I enjoy most.
With Blazblue, I have a hard time choosing a character. Bang is kinda like that, but in reality, his combos are rather dull till you finish them with Distortions. Jin is a bit like Johnny, but he doesn't really have anything exceptionally cool, since he pretty much just slashes around like crazy, and some ice now and then... Too serious. I think Relius is closest to my ideals, but I just prefer Bang because of his character.
Actually, I like Carl's gameplay a lot, he has a lot of cool attacks and I loved controlling Ada and syncing the two together. I just can't get over his... Overly childness. Or maybe I can. I dunno, I might try to learn him soon, once I burn out a bit from P4A Then we could have some cool Relius vs. Carl matches.
EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention, having your Persona broken is surprisingly easy... Or probable, whatever. I'm like 95% sure your Persona also loses 1HP if you get hit while it's out, unless it was just the hitbox of the attacks I've been getting hit by. After Personas attack, they generally linger idle for a second or two in which they're open for punishment (if blocked, so in a way you have to cover for them, too). Most of the time though, battles are so hectic that Personas are hit while aiming for the opponent, or they hit each other.
Still can't get over how awesome it is having two players and Personas fighting and clashing, especially when one Persona breaks, it feels like you just lost your fighting spirit or something, 'cause it's such a big disadvantage trying to fight a player and a Persona when half your moveset is gone.
