And yes it is. It kills most enemies in 1-3 hits. As opposed to like 15 with the "master" sword. Those skull knights? The stalfos, yea they die in like 3 hits. Saves you a load of time later on.

is it possible to screw up the water temple what version are you playing? from what I've heard, MQ and N64 can mess up on you, but it's still doable. 3DS was changed so that you wouldn't get puzzled too badly. From what I've read in the past, it was never possible to get stuck in that temple. Even if you used the keys in the "wrong" doors, there was a way (but if done in that order it would be so terribly hard to find that you'd think you screwed yourself over). My sources might be wrong though, so I'd look into it if you're playing an original/MQ version.

Longshot is a longer hookshot, and the item in the water temPle. And yea, id go to a walkthrough of it and make sure you did right. It may help you.

as it turned out i did not screw up the temple the last two doors that needed a key got me a longshot. got the boss key and i do know where he lives so i cannot get lost EDIT how do you get up the hill.

Also... Do the shadow temple first. The hover boots are needed in the spirit temple im pretty sure. And you get them in shadow temple.
