Haven't heard of this vectoring stuff before.
Also I just noticed that all of your smash bros mains in the description are all one colour. Red and white. What, should I go all black or something? Oh, I guess Claxus changed his sig though...

That's... Really what the whole thing is about. Though the topic title itself is off for some reason. No, vectoring can decrease knockback from any direction, not just purely vertical. And that's what I'm saying... The whole deal is about vertical vectoring being removed (despite the topic title), horizontal is still there. @al You should get up to speed, vectoring/DI has been known since day one, and lets you survive 20-40% later than usual from KO attacks. It's probably a bit changed now, though, at least it won't be saving you from vertical KOs now... Also, I hate the whole name debating for it so I just call it the official (from in-game tips) hitstun shuffle. And, kinda funny you think I changed my sig. It's just a sig randomizer, it changes every time you change pages/refresh. It's been like that for around two months, too. But yeah, I like cloudy colors. Cloudy daymare.

Wow, that's the most magical thing I've ever seen on the internet. I could swear I never saw your Smash main line up until a few days ago or so.

That's because it's only been around a few days ago or so. It seems vectoring overall is pretty weird and overall different now. Holding up when launched horizontally KOs you earlier, though up-left still saves you a bit.

Just noticed you've been doing this. Hitstun shuffle is the official term for what used to be called Smash DI, which is different from normal DI, which is different from vectoring. But really Al, vectoring was very important. How do you think Claxus and I live so long most of the time? Also I don't know who I'm maining Al, so I just took characters I like and gave them a red color. Characters I'm debating maining or using as a secondary: Mario, Peach, Bowser, Rosalina, Yoshi, Ganondorf, Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight, Little Mac, Villager, Robin, Ike, Lucina, Marth, Shulk Who I see myself probably maining: Mario, Rosalina, any FE character, any Kirby character.

The problem is that a lot of people still call it DI, and some vectoring. I know they're different, but it's kinda annoying that it's lingering out there with some forever-unresolved name. But you're right, hitstun shuffling does refer to SDI rather than DI/vectoring. Well, time to start calling it VI.

So is vectoring just air dodging and pointing the analogue stick back towards the stage? 'Cause I do that.

Nope, a month. /foreveralonenowbecausenoonelikes3ddcontrols
Holding diagonally up and towards stage is generally best. When launched vertically holding to the side makes a 3-4% difference now, down or up don't. So Pit's Upperdash was kind of buffed, while Dark Pit's Electroshock will be the same. Mario can D-throw > U-tilt for even more days now.

Those sexy character movies 7. 8-player smush 8. Amiibos (I'm coming for ya, Kirby.) 9. Better Stages (be honest, the stage selection in the 3DS version is average at best) 10. Stamina Smush 11. Better online (that Wii LAN adapter) 12. Stage Builder 13. The fact that by registering both games on Club Nintendo I get 36 different epic tracks from the games. (I get Id/purpose, you will know our names, and N's Castle Medley...ON A CD) 14. Gamecube Controls 15. The Great Cave Offensive and Palutena's Temple (the biggest stages yet.) 16. a C-stick (that doesn't even need to be gamecube, just...c-stick smashes again.) 17. DK Bongos as controllers 18. It's pretty. *u* 10 hours 'till I smush once more (27 hours until I smush with 7 friends.)

So...Smash Wii U. Where to start. 8-player smash is so much yes if you have 7 friends like I did this evening. 2v2v2v2 is awesome and 4v4 feels like a war. Amiibo is very good, my Kirby, Ohgun, is level 25 now, playing when one of my friends decided to take a break. Master/Crazy Orders is sweet. Smash Tour...best way to get custom equips/moves, but...it's not very fun. Controls. Oh lordy having a gamecube controller back is great. Being able to do fast-fall UAirs, retreating FAirs and BAirs, and DAirs that don't make me fast fall...it's very nice, along with C-stick smashing (chargeable too!) The game is very, very pretty. Haven't done online, that'll be tomorrow. The offline is near flawless though.

For team battle, what color is the fourth team? I'm so used to the RGB setup that it's gonna be a real shocker. Full-on crew battles sound amazing, though XD
I can't wait to see some 4v4 tournaments!

I can do all that aerial stuff. /3dsnewtype That's also what I meant before though, you probably won't want to go back because of the controls. Of course there's a trillion other reasons to want Smash 4U.
At least for me and Al it's not like we're stuck waiting with a mere demo. I mean... When it comes down to it all I really focus on is dueling and getting stronger, so what I really look forward to is all the stages, graphics, and massive soundtrack that are icing for that.
Played some quiet For Glory today with all the left behind.

The only reason I see myself playing more Smash 3DS is if I want to fight you guys, or if I want to fight my friends at school. That's pretty much it. Frozn, the fourth team is yellow by the way.

I pretty much only play Smash 3DS to play you guys anyway. I'm excited for Smash U, but I'll probably only play it solo for a week (depending on when my friends come round to play it) before I go back to only playing online again. I suppose in some respects I'm disappointed that there's no meaty, vaguely plot driven Subspace Emissary type mode to dig my teeth into. I had a wonderful time co-oping that with my friend back when Brawl released.
There's just too many games on my radar. SMT IV has revived my interest in the series after Devil Summoner (Raidou and Soul Hackers) alongside Persona 2 left me lukewarm. Then there's Persona Q, which should carry me to Christmas and beyond, and then I'll probably be itching for SMT Strange Journey. I'll probably be getting Persona Ultimax, too. And that's just SMT, let alone all the other games I'll want to play and all the anime I'll be watching. Smash Bros is low enough on my priority list that I'm half glad that only the 3DS version will be around to distract me.And all of that is completely ignoring all my University activities.

I loved it. Admittedly it was a bit monotone at times, but Smash as a platformer beat'em up is pretty fun. Smash Run is even more fun in some ways, but the limited map and 5 minutes makes it a bit too samey after time. And then I actually loved the Great Maze because it was like playing Amazing Mirror Smash style.

So, I've had it since day one. Forgot to say something because I honestly forgot about this place for a while, but I literally have no friends that have it, so I figured I'd come and see who wants to play sometime. I'm talking about the wii U version btw.
