True, can't expect much from Smashboards. They'll just say to change characters if you get that matchup. Infinites are fine and it's your own fault for wanting to use your character against an unfair infinite-potential matchup, but a whole character (and his dimensional cape glitch that's inhumanly impossible to do consistently for more than 3 seconds) gets banned for a while (Meta Knight). Well, mostly what I'm worried about is that she may be able to do that from a fair distance if she hits with the charged up version of her B which gives enough stun to approach, but otherwise it will be very manageable as that B attack is slow to begin with. I meant I thought both versions had Castle Siege though. 3DS has more than one Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon stages... The Wii U version will likely have all of those songs, too, since it has a similar huge soundtrack to Brawl. Nope, 3DS just has Ferox. Castle Seige is Wii U only. That aside, I don't even get the point you're trying to make in that first paragraph. Also, a Charged B shot would be hard to even get off, and doing a Down Smash as approaching would be difficult and probably impossible in the stun time. |

Basically, they just do weird stuff like Smogon. Some things are fine because they have counterpicks and are situational (and that it's your own fault for getting into a bad matchup), but then a whole character (or Pokemon, Aegislash) gets banned.
Charged B isn't impossible though, Falcon Punches and even Warlock Punch still happen all the time, it's just a matter of good plays and reads. Down Smash wouldn't work at full range after that, but a charged shot may give enough stun to do a quick little dash into shield and DSmash, possibly making it a mid-range-starter infinite. I'm not too worried, though, I think a good Robin can get the edge over ZSS as he's better at her own spacing game, and Smash is the sort of game where even down to one stock you can make a full comeback.

Exactly. Also, about the Meta Knight thing, he wasn't even banned in most tournaments. A few were just butthurt and banned him because they can. |

He actually was banned, but it didn't last very long. Man, I can't find anything with Pit, just see Dark Pit everywhere... That super armor side-B looks pretty crazy though, saw it just go through a smash and hit the opponent. Dark Pit's recovery is also pretty much ungimpable, I hope Pit's doesn't just end up being an inferior recovery... I have to say though, it feels pretty awkward whenever I see Dark Pit just multi-hop to recover, I'm gonna miss that glide and using it for sweeping attacks...

Gah all I want to do is lie around and play my Smash demo! D:< I haven't been following hyperclosely on the discussion going on here but I'm digging Link's updates. That jump attack though. I've really been enjoying Villager, just because he's so gimmicky that you have to kind of find your own style of playing him. I'm sure it'll be great annoying everybody by dropping bowling balls on their heads while they try to recover. And stealing pointless projectiles like Megaman's Up-B dog  Does anyone else feel like Pikachu's controls have gotten clunkier? Or I'm just not used to the 3DS yet... But man that Quick Attack is going to get SO annoying >.> I'm not really sure how to feel about Mega Man, it's gonna take some time getting used to his A attack and side smashes being ranged moves :3 I think I'm just going to be abusing his down smash attack a lot when using him... That and some of his aerial moves are pretty sweet IMO. And I agree about Mario being worse, just by virtue of the fact that he literally hasn't changed at all... |

Nobody really said he's worse. If anything, he is better. His buffs are subtle, but they're there.

yeah, he gets to use the sword. That is cool. Also, I knew about the Monado Arts...but Extreme I didn't until just now. Extreme Shield Stance makes Shulk almost 1.5 times heavier than Bowser. That's impressive, though Decisive Monado Arts seems better. |

I'd also really like it if they let you use a custom moveset if you brought a 3DS with you to tournaments. The 3DS made it possible to quickly set up custom characters. I think it'd be the first fighting game to allow custom movesets. Soo... guess I'll follow the crowd?  EDIT: Should probably mention that I pre-ordered a physical copy yesterday, it was almost £10 cheaper to pre-order rather than wait for a digital copy. Should hopefully arrive on friday! That will give me a full 12 hour afternoon following class and a weekend to get acquainted with it. |
