Since E3's kinda over now I think I'm going to commandeer this two-year-old thread for SSB news and discussion. Speaking of which, in case you weren't already aware somehow, those titles they showed at E3 are the actual titles.Somebody should change the thread's title to reflect this. Or don't, it doesn't really matter all that much.

The title has been changed accordingly. Since they're actually two games, SSB4 (SSB for...) can be used to refer to both of them collectively. The question now is, should there be separate threads to discuss the exclusive content, or do we just have to specify which game we're talking about in our post?

I don't think that there needs to be a separate thread especially since they connect up.

Fingers crossed that my four favorite characters get buffed. (Capt. Falcon, Luigi, Kirby, and Bowser.) I mean, all four of those characters were low in brawl (and three of them in melee.) and they need better moves. Oh, and I hope Ice Climbers get their chaingrabbing moves removed. ...and that Meta Knight gets nerfed to hell.
EDIT: This is all speculation, but just from looking at Bowser's page on the official site it appears he's been edited quite a bit in terms of moves. I still see whirling fortress and fire though.

^Remember that? Well I'll give an analysis as to what was covered plus speculation. - For the 3DS version, the characters are given a bold outline to be more easily seen on the smaller screen. -Bowser's Stance has been changed to his more upright stature from Bowser's Inside Story, SMG, etc. His speed has been buffed, Flying slam remains along with fire breath. His dash attack, down smash(?) and neutral Air are all new, and appear to have quite large hitboxes. -Mario's Fireball distance appears to have been increased, along with speed. His meteor smash move (Fair) has returned. -The characters will be the same, but the stages will lean more towards themes that are for their respective system. (example: Spirit tracks stage on 3DS version) -Donkey Kong appears relatively unchanged. His Back Air, Spinning Kong, Forward Tilt, and Giant Punch remain in the new game. -Visual effects have been added to the attacks. -Samus's appearance is based on Other M instead of Super Metroid now. -Pit is based off his Kid Icarus: Uprising model, and thus has more moves related to his weapons in that game. His side special is the upperdash arm, which he uses for a quick uppercut. His new down special is the guardian orbitars. I don't believe they'll reflect normal attacks like the mirror shield, but they face both directions now. -Link appears relatively unchanged, asthetically and with his moveset. -Villager is a rather interesting new character. With his dash attack(?) he drops a sapling in a pot, similar to Dedede's dash attack. His back air is strangely enough a projectile, a slingshot. Down special is fireworks(?) and he also has an umbrella attack, and one where he pulls weeds. I'm going to guess weeds is his down tilt. He can catch projectiles and throw them back, and has a tree attack that seems to be linked to his dash attack, but I'm not sure. He has a bowling ball attack that seems like it will be a meteor smash, and a shovel attack similar to DK's headbutt. He has a balloon attack that seems to be a recovery move. -Megaman...hoo boy. First, he doesn't really punch or kick at all. His only real punch is the mega upper (side special) which was also used in Marvel vs. Capcom, apparently. His standard attack is the blaster where he shoots tiny bullets that can be fire while moving or jumping. His side smash is the charge shot. Down tilt is a kick with a long slide, and recovery is that he uses his dog (rush?) to jump on. Metal blade is In his moveset, and can be thrown in 8 different directions. If fired into the ground, it is an item that can be picked up. Crash bomber returns as a bomb you can stick on opponents, and can be thrown back. It acts like the gooey bomb from SSBB. He has a spinning move called the topspin, and the leaf shield, a launchable barrier(down special). The har knucle appears to be quite possibly the best meteor smash in smash bros. history. Slash Claw appears to be his back air, and flame sword his FAir. Spark shot is his up smash, Flame Buster is his down smash. -Pikachu appears unchanged, but thunder jolt was the only attack in the video, so I don't know. -Wii Fit Trainer's final smash is called "Wii Fit"
I saw a stage based on Wily's Castle, Battlefield, a Spirit Tracks stage, a stage based off Skyloft, a NSMB stage with the "spike with spikes" death...things... a nintendogs stage, and a gerudo valley stage.
And that's pretty much it.

Dark Pit with silver bow and staff and palm/claw/club pls
Not that I really want to play as him, but it'd be nice if he was added in to represent more of Uprising's weapons, the series does need a villain in SSB, too. Still, they went with my favorite arm for Pit, at least, but it feels like they could have done more. I would have expected First Blade as it's sort of the iconic new weapon. Wonder if Pit will utilize anything more though, maybe in smash attacks.
I do like Bowser's new stance, though.
Oh, yeah... Hoping Pit gets a Great Sacred Treasure final smash (I still feel like they added that as the finale just to top off a perfect game for me)... That would be amazing. Or playable Cherubot.

Playable Cherubot and Viridi please. Eh, if they picked one of the godesses it'd unfortunately be Palutena. :I As cool as Dark Pit might be, he'd be called a clone even if he had a very different moveset. Sacred trasure mech final smash...sounds nice, but I'd prefer final strike (with just the gun, you know?)
