No pleasing some people, then again I did get everything I wanted, (like, unrealistically so) so I probably shouldn't be judging.
At least we've got Megaman for guns and gadgets and Charizard for dragons (and Riddley is a boss). And Jigglypuff for owning everything that ever existed in the universe.
Also Aleph from Pikmin 3 apparently?

Don't get me wrong, I'm more than happy with smash 4's roster, Ridley is just because metroid needs more love, when you consider it's considered one of nintendo's primary series and has fewer reps than Fire Emblem (won't complain about it though since FE:A reps are epic and I'm maining Robin), and Kid Icarus (also great reps.) Metroid's just kinda the butt monkey of nintendo's franchises anyway so I'm not suprised, and still overjoyed with the roster. Also, Bowser Jr (AND the Koopalings again), and the Duck Hunt Dog are both really cool additions that'll be interesting to play as. Alph is nice too, even if he's just an alternate costume. Other complaints (but only a few) is that Ganondorf is once again a CF clone, and no more ROB/Ice Climbers. But once again, fairly minor.

The roster is pretty great for me too, I like the look of a ton of the new comers. Robin or Shulk will probably be my mains but Rosalina and Palutena also look really fun and I'll still have MetaKnight and Jigglypuff too.
Does Zero Suit Samus count as a second representative for the Metroid franchise? The problem with reps for the series is that Samus is the only real consistent character across each of the games. Other M made room (I think? Adam was the other big character right? I didn't play it) but no one liked Other M. All the other iconic characters are monsters that aren't cute enough to be playable, such as the pokemon for example.
But hey out of Nintendo's first party franchises it seems to have more representation than the Mother series, since Lucus has apparently been cut.

Are they two different fighters? Yes, but having Samus twice doesn't really count as having two characters. Heck, in Brawl she was a situational alternate form that wasn't even on the character select screen. Ridley is the only other iconic Metroid character, but characters like Adam would still be possible. (and dislike of a game is not enough for a creator to shun it. Heck, Sega adknowledged Sonic 06's existence in Generations. Also, Sakurai doesn't give a flying crap about that, he's an unpredictable fellow.)
As for your point about Mother, there hasn't been a Mother game is over 10 years. Metroid is ongoing.
But yeah, I actually like the look of all the newcomers (even WFT!) and I'm excited to play them all. I find I'll probably stick towards Little Mac, Lucina, Robin, Villager or Mega Man in paricular though. Especially those last three. Also looking forward to picking up my old Melee main again (good ol' Dr. Mario.)
Also, no offense Al, but with how rusty you were the last time we played, and how it's been four months since you've even touched brawl I doubt you still have Jiggs and MK.

I didn't say I would be able to pick them up again immediately. Anyway, I was just throwing out ideas.
To be honest, I'm probably not going to be getting the 3DS version, so you'll be miles ahead of me by the time the Wii U version comes out. You'll be mopping the floor with me regardless of who I use!

Claxus is crying silently. ...not really, but still.

Claxus is crying silently. ...not really, but still. Nah, he can beat me up in BlazBlue whenever he wants. I'm slightly more resilient prey in that game anyway, at least for now.

That's a shame... Guess Steve will be my rival.
And the above post is false. Whenever I want would be at least two hours daily.

More cruelty. The demo's 'out,' but requires a code from being a Platinum member on Club Nintendo... On the other hand, each person who gets a code also gets three extra. So gonna have to go around and beg somewhere, or catch one of those places where jerks post them as first-come-first-serve.
I'll probably try tomorrow or something, everything right now is bloated with people begging everywhere.
At least, the demo will release publicly on the 19th for everyone, but it's lingering out there right now with people already playing...

Wait, Claxus. Idea hatched. I'm almost a platinum member on Club Nintendo myself. Do you have any unused club nintendo codes? Check your game case. If I get Platinum I could get a code and give you and Al one.
Also, after watching Jwittz stream, Rosalina...man.

Nnnope, it's more cruel than that. The code was given to people who've been a Platinum member from July (last year) to the end of June (this year). I think the only code I'd have is from KI:U, as the rest I got used/digital, I can check if you want the code anyway.

I'd appreciate it, though that's unfortunate, I was about 30 coins last year from platinum...so if I had gotten it I'd have that demo now.

Well, my KI:U code is non-existent for some reason... But I just read you can only register one copy of each game anyway, so it may not have worked out if you already got a code for that game.
Worst case scenario, 7 days of wait isn't too bad, and then it'll be even closer to the full game.

I don't think a US code would have worked on my european console anyway.
I also watched some of JWitzz's stream, I like the way they redid classic mode.

And I gave up because now almost all of the posts are asking for actual value (started as asking for things like Pokemon and now people are asking for things worth more than the full game itself for a DEMO.) I'll stalk around a bit longer maybe for giveaways or contests and hopefully get lucky. Meanwhile I won't get a response until 5 AM since Claxus will play the crud out of the demo.

I've spent more time trying to get another code, actually... Saw your post on the demo details topic But it really does seem like the bulk of the codes have been burned out by now... Came across these two things for a chance to get an extra: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMh9LXsFI3Qwww.rafflecopter.com/rafl/display/f402b73c3/They're both semi-obscure, but the chances still suck, but it can't hurt to try I guess. Some people are still receiving code e-mails as the day goes on so there's still some hope for stumbling upon a good topic or something... I hope some big site does one of those big giveaways that always happen whenever early-access keys are a thing tomorrow... If it's any consolation, I can try out/assess different things you may want to know.
