Easy. Shogun would win with one "Insta-rape" slash.

Yeah, but Cyber Ninja would just cut him down before Shogun even has a chance to charge it with his insane speed.

Easy. Shogun would win with one "Insta-rape" slash. Have you ever tried to hit a moving target with that attack? It's like trying to catch a single speck of dust in a hurricane.

If you know the timing to it, it's easy. He has to land sometime. When he lands, he's still. You can use the noob slash, and its all over.

Samurai Shogun should win, as he has the overall better attacks. Cyber Ninja's speed is too often a curse than a blessing IMO.

In a perfect match if both borgs are played to their full potential and we are not taking random silly human errors or skill differences into consideration, Cyber Ninja wins easily.
He is fast enough to dodge the "rape slash" with ease (even if the opponent is spamming it in hyper mode, trust me my brother does that often and even I have no problem dodging it) and if worst comes to worst Cyber Ninja has better ranged attacks. He could always be a cheap little d-bag and projectile spam. His projectiles reload really fast and they hurt. Samurai shogun can't do much if he can't get close, and he is too slow to do that. His B slash is nifty, but reloads slowly and hurts less. I mean, Samurai Shoguns shots pack as much wallop and Cyber Ninja's projectiles, but due to Cyber Ninja having more defense than Samurai Shogun, effectively Shogun's shots are weaker. That coupled with being sparser...
There is some debate about how and when you have openings to hit Cyber Ninja with a "noob slash", but it is moot. If the other player sees that you have been charging for awhile they will pull away so they have more time to dodge. Then it is easy to merely sidestep the extremely thin beam that is the "rape slash" if Cyber Ninja stays on their toes. Then after you let it rip and have to recharge it, he can swing in out of nowhere with his crazy speed and may you hurt all over. If you want to charge it up and save it so they don't know when it is coming, then the players are going to be dancing around each other while Cyber Ninja tries to stay far away (which he can do easily with his speed). I would then like like to reiterate that Cyber Ninja can projectile spam like it is no ones business. Samurai Shogun can't.
Cyber Ninja by a mile. Once again Speedy McSpam takes the win. Let's just say that there is a big reason why Cyber Ninja is an Almighty Type and Samurai Shogun isn't.

all it requires is timing. cleanse your mind, empty it on all thought save for the moment of the battle. close your eyes and watch as the cyber ninja charges forward to you at a speed, once blindingly fast, has slowed to a crawl. Let the universe flow into the shogun's sword, and then wait. if you have followed these steps, the exact timing to hit the cyber ninja will come to you, release the power upon the ninja, and watch as it is ripped to shreds by your immense power. This is the true strength of the for- I mean the X button.
In all seriousness, a good cyber ninja player could probably best a samurai shogun. Depends, really.

Cyber Ninja. There's only a very small window where Cyber Ninja isn't moving. When he lands, he should be dashing or jumping almost immediately. In that window, Shogun Slash is only going to glance off Cyber Ninja's foot, if it hits at all. All the while, Cyber Ninja is spamming powerful lasers.
The only way I could see Samurai Shogun winning is if he pulls some kind of environment shenanigans like hiding behind walls. But even then, Cyber Ninja can easily dash around walls.

When you land, there is still a window of opportunity, and since he cant go to a sidestep right when he lands, he's doomed(had this match before)

You need him to air dash. If he is going up against a unit as slow as Samurai Shogun, he doesnt' need to air dash. His superior speed allows him to stay far enough away without needing to air dash. And if Shogun gets close, use your little shotgun of stars that is your X shot. On the ground avoiding the "rape slash" is a piece of cake. I have also had this match. Many many times.

^ I agree, but lets face the real fact... I hate to have to pull all of us out of our "Gotcha Force fantasy," but this is a video game (DUN DUN DUUUUN), it all really depends on whose behind the wheel (or controller, so to speak). You could have someone with years of experience using Shogun Samurai and someone who just started playing a day ago using Cyber Ninja. But I digress.
