Oh dear... I'll try not to be any more patronizing than I've already been acting, but I will say that Halo 4 has a pretty abysmal story, even when compared to the other Halo games.

THEY ACTUALLY DID IT THOSE DAMN IDIOTS YES YES YES! I CANNOT WAIT TO WATCH THEM BURN!*Coughs and straightens tie. Normal voice.* The 'XBOX ONE' Was revealed and its every bit as bland as we had predicted. I could swear all the game announcements were for EA sports and a new CoD. The system upgrades only graphics and the shitty kinnect interface, and I think that microsoft probably isn't going to do well. I'd post more articles but google will tell you everything you need to know, if that business decision isn't enough news for you. Seriously, I'm so glad they did that. Hoping to the high heavens that xbox dies soon after this. I mean heck even the CoD cash cow will be available on wii u and PS4, allegedly. Stick to PS4 and Wii U as far as I'm concerned. Nearly all the same features with none of the BS. ... Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself here, I should wait for a little longer I suppose. Still probably wont buy an XBOX though. I lack the faith in humanity to believe it'll fail, as terrible as it is there's no way everybody's going to suddenly wake up and realize "Hey, wait a minute, this is absolute s***." Also as much as I hate to say thing that could be interpreted as pro-Microsoft by a sufficiently warped mind, I watched the entire presentation (and it was pretty hilarious, they called themselves leading in console sales, called the 360 controller "the world's best controller," said CoD set the standard for excellence in gaming or something absurd like that, etc. I almost thought I was watching a stand-up comedy routine), and the system upgrades more than the graphics and the Kinect, they're adding in quite a few gigabytes more RAM than the 360 and what I recall them calling the "snap interface" or something that basically amounts to "Hey, if you do this obnoxious hand gesture you can do other stuff while doing things!" Also apparently if you pick up the controller it automatically goes to whatever game you were playing last or something, and if their presentation is to be believed Kinect voice commands are less strictly "say this exact sequence of words" so now you can ask somebody what's on HBO while playing a game and suddenly the thing interrupts your game with its TV Guide Thing because you said "What's on HBO?" With that said, I CANNOT WAIT TO WATCH THEM BURN! Burning would be too good for the likes of Microsoft. Also hating Microsoft is my thing, why are you doing it?

Umm... can't I be allowed to dislike microsoft? Also have faith. Look at the comments in that video. I've also seen people on facebook, some of them even avid 360 fans, complain. I think I've seen about two people who seemed ok with the new system and only a few more willing to wait it out to see how much microsoft will price and such. This IS the beginning of the end.

Well, I guess you can, but, uh, then... I don't get to be different?... Or something? Vocal minority. For every intelligent person who opts out of the -359 at least a hundred will blindly support this travesty of a thing anyway. The only reason to have faith is that maybe for every ten thousand complacent fools who buy one and accept Microsoft's injustices there will be one person who defies them and just, like, hacks the crap out of the thing and posts about how to do it on the internet. But even then Microsoft still wins in the end, they got their sales, they got their money, they got away with trying to squeeze as much money as possible from the consumers. Plus even if I'm wrong they still effectively have a monopoly on the PC market, they won't be destroyed by one failure of a console.

Don't try so hard. Lots of people ate Microsoft already.
Windows 8 is already failing miserably, and apple and android have already destroyed their chances of reaching a portable market and Steam has ruined digital distributions. I hear even macs are picking up in sales, not too sure on that last one though. Also, look at the market. Hardcore gamers will simply go for the PS4 since as hardcore gamers, they will be market savvy and will thus not put up with microsoft BS, and the teenage crowd will probably stick with games like CoD on other systems. The casual market are still very happy with the Wii and maybe even the Wii U. I can only see Halo fans picking up an Xbox ONE at this point. But if most Halo fans are say, my age, I'm pretty sure that by the time Halo 5 comes out, they will be in university and on the whole far too busy to be playing games. I mean, I wont but the majority of people will.

And brand loyalty is a thing, so they, being pretty hilariously casual, will get the Xbox What So the First One Wasn't Number One regardless of what shenanigans Microsoft tries to pull. Also Halo's not the only Xbox exclusive. They're coming out with 15 of them, about half of them being new IPs, in the first year. And if even one of the new IPs is highly-praised enough (and you know they will be, with CoD getting as much praise as it does) people will buy it for that. Even if they aren't, all of the sequels will sell consoles anyway. Also what's this about Windows 8 failing miserably? All I've heard is bad things about it, but none of those bad things were that it's failing.

I have debated getting an xbox 1, if i had to guess its because they want it to be the 1 entertainment system you buy, as it plays games, does blu ray (bout time they upgraded) and can interwebz (ps3 already did...) they added a what like 500gb hd? Im pretty sure ps3 already had that too, but the real "selling point" for me is the octo core processor. That puts most gaming rigs to shame, and means that the system can run updates in the background, while not interupting anything your doing on it. So thats a plus. But the undetermined price conscerns me, and besides, i want to see what the ps4 can do. Wii u is nifty, and i may get one when the next zelda/metroid/ssb comes around, but for now it doesnt seem worth buying it because i hate 90% of the "games" nintendo has out.

The day after GameFAQ had a poll and here is the question. With everything you know right now about the next PlayStation and Xbox consoles, which do you plan to buy? 17649 Picked the PS4 1911 Picked the XboxOne 1500 Said they were going to get both and 8691 Said they were going to wait for E3 before deciding. So close to 10x as many people are currently planning to get the PS4 then the XBoxOne. Of course this poll is only taken from the people on the site and voted that day.

Stupid Microsoft, DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO FEEDBACK. You should just DIE, XBOX. I still laugh at "pay for online" when the other systems don't have you do it. PLUS, you need one online connection to set up still. This means you STILL need to buy xBox live, meaning they're STILL trying to leech money like the A-holes they are.

but you know what this means guys?
we won
we stood our ground against a huge ass company and its communistic policies, and we changed them.
albeit that they did not 100% fix the console it is still an improvement.
so to quote code ment
WE'VE WON, THE BATTLE IS OVER, WE DID IT!

I wouldn't be surprised if their marketing plan was to unveil a bad product at E3 to generate negative hype, then make big news when they "fix" some of the problems later, claiming that the changes were based on user feedback.

That would seem logical, but I don't know, people can be idiots (especially people higher up in "power" (even though they're not actually powerful, they have a powerful following.))

And you guys were worried microsoft WOULDNT troll us. Ha, i saw this coming. Oh and just one more thing, ive looked into the ps4 and the xbone, both have a motion gaming attachment. And the xbone ships with it, which is why its gonna cost $100 more. Because of the accessory. Now you may be saying "metal thats retarted, why would that make the xbone more valuable than the ps4?" Well ill tell you why. The ps4 is going to require the ... move thingy? For most games after launch, but it doesnt ship with it. And the stupid thing costs like $90 additionally anyways. If you do the math on that, your basically giving xbox an extra $10 for a voice remote which is legit. I rather am excited to see how they will use it for gameplay, and the fact that its even lazier of an accessory than the guide button was. Which makes me lol.

I haven't heard anything about the move accessories, certainly not at E3 in terms of the conference or upcoming games, but they can't cost much more than a wiimote and since they've been around a while I'm sure it would be possible to get a cheap second hand one. (EDIT: roughly £30 pound seemed to be the standard, others came in bundles. Not sure how much that is in dollars) There are many problems with voice commands, for the Xbox, too, for example the technology so far is rather unresponsive and unnecessary. Much faster to quietly push a button, which have much more freedom of movement, not to mention there are less accidents when it comes to button (sibling comes into a room and says 'xbox off!' while you're in the middle of a play session, unless there's voice recognition which I doubt would be reliable)
Microsoft didn't troll the user base. They may be dicks but they're not stupid, they're simply responding to the reactions to their E3 conference, which didn't please a lot of people. Not to mention, Sony completely destroyed them with their show weather the PS4 will end up the better console or not. This is just going to create consumer confusion, and you don't play blatant tricks with the customer like that, no company in their right mind would dare pull off a stunt like that. They intended DRM services, and decided to get rid of them when gamers told them how ridiculous their being.
Nice to see they're being responsive and not stubbornly sticking to a concept, but they still dropped the ball and E3 is still going to negatively impact their sales hugely no matter what they do at this point, even if they shipped the console with a chocolate apology cake and decreased the price to match the PS4.
Even so... I think the PS4 exclusives will end up interesting me much more, of course referring to the fact that most Japanese developers aren't bothering developing for microsoft anymore, sticking exclusively to the PS4 and the Wii U selectively, exclusives coming out on one console or the other. (Tales series PS4, X for Wii U etc. Atlus seem to be in some kind of relationship with nintendo at this point, with SMT IV on 3DS and fire emblem x SMT, persona 5 rumored for Wii U)
Xbox exclusives off the top of my head are Halo... no thanks Halo 4 was very disappointing... Heavy rain: stupid Roman edition... no thanks... that project spark thing seemed pretty cool though, legitimately exciting, but that might come out for windows. So bleh.

The ps4 is going to require the ... move thingy? For most games after launch Do you have an actual source for this or are you just pulling this from nowhere? Also I'm not normally one to don the tinfoil hat but literally the first company to sign up for that PRISM NSA data collection program thing makes a console that (originally) required an internet connection, worked primarily in The Cloud™, and had an always-on camera you couldn't disconnect and you think it's a totally legit voice remote?
