Either Flygon for awesomeness or hippowdon for sandstream. Nice choices indeed. I'd have to say...either Quagsire, Flygon, or Dugtrio. Quagsire because it's the most boss thing ever (in colosseum because surf+EQ, in BW because of Unaware) Flygon because it's awesome (more EQ in colosseum and it's the best dragon type in the game(because the only other is crap altaria.)) Dugtrio because it's the uncommon fast ground type. (and it has arena trap.) |

Anyway, favorite type overall?
For some reason I really like steel and dark types. For some reason, I'm not a big fan of bisharp.

And I still hate Excadrill from competitive battling. Thankfully someone realized that the thing didn't belong in Overused and it got moved to the legendary tier (ubers) |

Dialga is gay. Palkia is where its at. Also. Dragons and then dark and them psychic. Then probably elec or fighting. Maybe steel somewhere. Fav ground? Golem its iconic. And who doesnt love a geound type with fire blast? No one ever sees that coming.

^except golem's SAtk is terrible, and it's the typical physical rock type.
As for palkia, if I want a water/dragon I'd prefer Kingdra.

It's a slightly more powerful dragon pulse with less accuracy, a slightly higher critical ratio, and less PP. |

No Ground type has anything on Gliscor. That said, my other favorite Ground type would have to be Flygon. Both can dodge the ever so common Earthquake, have STAB on it as well, and both look ridiculously cool.
And as far as Palkia vs Kingdra goes...
in terms of raw stats, obviously Palkia wins out.
In terms of usefulness, that really all depends on what you have either of the for.
But without rain, Kingdra is a severally lesser threat. Unless you are running Sniper with a Scope Lens or something gimmicky like that. And that is just a chance build, at best.
But Dragon Dance + Outrage in Rain is nothing short of amazing for a sweeper. Or Waterfall spam with King's Rock.

Favorite bug is hands down Scyther. Not that piece of crap Scizor, f***ing Scyther.
For one, it was THE pokemon for my first time playing Crystal.
Second, technician aerial aces hurt.

Forretress, for some reason if I had the decision between a perfect forrestress and a perfect ferrothorn, I would pick forretress.
