Found my ARdsi again and pokegen'd the most outrageous thing ever.
A Contrary Slaking with V-Create, Superpower, Overheat, and Draco Meteor.
I'm using it to make the battle tournament even easier.

Finally beat FireRed. With my party ranging in level from 40-46.
The final battle was absolutely brutal (which is to be expected when everything is at least 10 levels higher than your highest-level Pokémon). Took me about 20 minutes and a hundred healing items, and even then had that Arcanine gotten a single critical hit the entire time I would've lost. (Granted, it probably didn't help that I spent the entire fight thinking it was a Gyarados, but that's neither here nor there.)

Why is Camerupt shunned upon? It's got good mixed offense, decent offensive typing, good movepool, acceptable bulk, abysmal speed...it'd be great on a trick room team.
Plus as a double battle tactic, frost breath from a smeargle on a DW Camerupt. +6 Attack.
I'm Gonna do a camerupt sweep, then post the replay. Boost with a baton passing ninjask or a Gorebyss, and boom.

I WILL DO IT i would like to see that sweep. can't tell if you're being sarcastic on all the praise, though. sure it's got a neat set of STABS, but that seems to be about it. in doubles there is muddy water users, or surf + water absorb everywhere. also 70/70/75 defenses aren't exactly enough to withstand an earthquake, either, which is also widely used both in singles and in doubles. but if you pull it off, i would totally want to watch it. I love it when pokemon who are looked down upon end up winning. because all pokemon are awesome ;D except for maybe trubbish. |

^I'm serious, it has nice strengths. I will, I'll use a shell smashing sporing smeargle and sweep with a camerupt.
As for DW Quagsire, Slaking has near 500 attack. It could most likely OHKO or 2HKO a DW Quag with superpower, even with its unaware.
It's got near perfect special coverage, decent physical coverage and can raise any of its stats except accuracy and evasion.

Even with a Trick Room set up, priority moves still bypass, which none of them it has resistances too, cept Bullet Punch. But an Aqua Jet to the face, and kiss your life goodbye. And, you have to be aware that The other team may have a pokemon set up for Trick room also. Reuniclus is slower (thus faster in Trick Room), can take any hit it throws at it, and KO it with Psychic, or the more unconventional Grass Knot. Also, Roar/Whirlwind/Prankster + Taunt ends your baton passing set. Not to mention Stealth Rocks and Spikes discourage baton sets. Also, in doubles, if you do run Smeargle and Camerupt as a lead, expect them to get destroyed right off the bat. and if they are not first, good luck trying to get a free turn in for both of them. Smearlge's subpar stats are the end of it, and Camerupt will most likely be get OK'ed on its next turn in. |

yeah it's unlikely that it'll be any good, but that's why I want to see a video of a decent match all the more  if you're doing doubles, you're going to need to run protect. it's helpful to scout, and gets you an extra turn of leftovers. heat wave + eruption + earth power would probably be the standard attacks for coverage, but i'm not too confident on how strong a camerupt would be against, say, terrakion, which can earthquake faster and hit harder than a heatran ever will. However, you could run gastrodon as a partner, with it's Storm drain, you won't have to worry about aqua jets, and he even gets a Sp. Attack boost! as an additional plus, it gets muddy water and blizzard, which only hit the opponent. good stuff. but one thing, though. you should never run Camerupt as a lead, because most leads either fake-out, protect, or attack right off the bat, and camerupt can't really take a hit. edit: so i checked smogon, and they said pretty much the same thing I said. eruption's going to be your main STAB move, and he does best in a trick room team. I think running chandelure as lead would probably be best, since the other trick room pokes are either psychic or ghost. also chandelure can't get hit by fake-out. |

*defenestration* Anyway, was playing my white 2 today, and I must say, I love using Zoroark's illusion ability. It's funny because I'm always using my Sigilyph as the illusion, so my opponent never even thinks of using a fighting/bug type move against him ;D also I've gotten really obsessed with drawing gijinka lately. not really sure why, but i love the way it turns out |
