Oh I never commented on Equestria Girls. I enjoyed it as well; it wasn't perfect of course but I respect Hasbro for at least taking that big risk and giving it a shot. And we all know it could have been a lot worse I thought the nods to the fandom were hilarious, I mean, isn't that part of what makes the MLP crew so much fun? Though it doesn't make for a great movie for new viewers; it seems more like something fun for the current fans to rally around rather than something that was actually meant to be universally appealing
I didn't catch Derpy in the credits until my second viewing, then I was like I LOVE YOU HASBRO XD

Fun-Fact: This thread was made on the 19th of 2011, literally 4 days after I first became a fanatic fan.
Favorite episode is a tie between Party of One and Secret of my Excess. Seen the movie at least 3 times(from different cameras in theaters.. heh..)
Looking forward to the Power Ponies episode.

^I feel that Pinkie is at a level where everyone likes her, but not enough to be a favorite. Her predictable unpredictability makes her a little shallower than the rest, IMO. Not shallow, just a little shallower :3

I didn't say I'm happy you were a crazed fan, I'm just happy that you actually liked it and don't hate it Any step to like anything underrated is typically very happy-ful to me.

You can twist anything with a mindset like that. Gotcha Force is overrated by all of us here. And underrated by... 99.5% of the world?

Not saying it's a bad thing, but it's undeniably overrated as a whole. It's the kind of thing almost anyone on the street will have heard about. If they're not one of the ones who have been to brony conventions. The only thing that bothers me is the bandwagon-type fans (that exist because of how popular it is in the first place), but its massive hype is a fact.

I don't disagree with you there. To me that speaks more to its spread than overratedness; if you asked those people who have only seen/heard about FiM what they think about it, I'm inclined to believe they wouldn't rate it highly.

To be fair, the internet has always had a rather trollish obsession with unicorns and rainbows. It was only by pure coincidence that Gen 4's MLP became such a thing on the internet. Plus, that's how a lot of things start; "Hey! Dude! check this out!"- Then, you know, it sticks and becomes a thing.

And as far as Pinkie goes-
Am I a hipster for liking her because shes potentially the darkest character on the show?
I mean, aside from the fact her antics tend to make me smile.

Hey hyperness can be a little out-of-place, yes, but more often then not she tends to a rather surreal character. By this, I mean, yes, she can be anywhere/anything/etc at will, while it seems rather harmless and comedic- Stop and take a second to realize the fact she is an ideal stalker and can be quite terrifying at the same time.
Yes I'm over analyzing it, but it tends to come off as weird every now and then, given the fact she can go out of her way to drive everyone else up a wall; EI Friend in Deed, Pinkie Keen, Party of One- Funny, really... The Pinkie Pie-based episodes tend to show off other sides of her.... Heh...

Pretty cool; nothing to terribly run screaming about IMO but it was quite nice to see the ponies in action again

It was nice to see another solution that didn't involve a giant rainbow crashing down on the villain. And Twilight with wings is absolutely adorable
