Have you guys ever heard of an on-line game called Minecraft. It's an open world sandbox game where you start in a randomly generated world all composed of blocks that you can build or destroy. You also create new things from these blocks like a workbench (to increase the variety of items you can create), pickaxes (to dig through stone) and swords (to fight mobs or enemies), which you can use to build bases and structures that will help you survive during night when a variety of enemies (mobs) spawn with the sole purpose of killing you. I recently learned about this game and at first I thought it sounded stupid but when I saw videos I was pretty intrigued and bought it (it costs about 9.99 in UK which is about $13 in US). And I immediately got hooked. It looks childish at first but the immense building options allow you to build anything you desire. It is also quite a scary game when at probably the first night you will be hiding in your poorly made shack scared with all the enemies surrounding you shack. Then it's day again back off to building. It also has a great multilayer (most good servers choose to remove enemies though) where there are many amazing creations that you can build upon (if the mod lets you). There is a classic mode that's free to play where you can only place and destroy blocks but it should give you a small gist of the game. www.minecraft.net/

That game is really only fun in the multiplay servers where you don't need to mind material. Where you can just take blocks and build a stairway to the sky. That way you can build a giant sprite of Sinistar in the sky! (Then tear down the stairs, or make it look like Sinistar is eating them.)

I played it a couple times, but never really got into it. Sure looked fun to build giant structures, though.

well i got into minecraft a few weeks ago. i like the survival mode because of the sheer, well, survival aspect to it. there are almost no limits to what you can do, and as long as you stay alive then you get close and closer to finishing the story, although it takes FOREVER. i like relying on my wits and knowledge, and applying them to a "real" situation always makes me excited, so when i started being able to kill the mobs i felt so much power in my hands ;D

When i do survival i play on peaceful until i have resources stockpiled, or at least i did, until endermen were created. After that i quit with the whole Mobs thing.

*SPOILERS?*There is a semblance of a story. Basically it revolves around the endermen, and the ender dragon.

as long as you stay alive then you get close and closer to finishing the story There's a STORY?! not really story, but more like a way to finish survival mode and see end credits. it's just a single boss at the end of the game. but it COULD be taken as a story, as each playthrough is a completely different "story" i am so glad that i play with sounds turned on. just walking around, and i hear a sizzle from behind me -_-

You need 14 blocks of obsidian and a flint and steel. Build a portal 4 tall by 3 wide. 4 on each side and 3 on top amd botton. Then use flint and steel in the middle. Boom portal to the nether. If my instructions didnt make sense google nether portal for more info. I would post a pick but im on my phone and cannot. Hope this helps
