Holy crap on a crap sandwich, this looks insanely amazing. And I know, being a huge Nintendo fanboy I'm expected to say that, but seriously, it actually looks brilliant. It obviously has a fully 3D screen, without the need for glasses, it has two cameras which can take photos in 3D, the graphics are wii-standard and they're supposedly releasing 3D movies to play on it (they were showing How to Train your Dragon at E3). It also has a control-stick-esque thing called a Slide Pad and it has motion sensing. It has blown me away, I expected it to just be an update on the DS, and when I first saw it I still thought it was that, but this is so much more... Specs and looksE3Kid Icarus UprisingThoughts?

I havn't seen any videos about it (because of my super awesome computer) but I do plan to and it seems a little interesting but I'll probably think much higher of it when I see videos of it.

I could care less about 3DS. One more gimmicky to get at your money. Yes, it has a nice 3D screen, but i don't think it's worth it. And i don't like the thought of it replacing our old[er] DS systems. I'd hate to be outdated and everything coming out on a new system and nothing for us older system people. One more though about it: I wonder how much of a pain in the butt Nintendo's gonna be if you need to replace that pretty 3D screen.

True it the 3D might be a gimmick but think about it. No other company has thought about this before Nintendo (and if you say Virtual Boy, I will kick your....). Plus there bringing back some Nintendo 64 games for it like Ocarina of Time and 007 Goldeneye. (at least the 3DS will most likely be better then the DSi) Don't get me wrong, I would normally not buy it but currently my DSlight is broken so might as well wait to get a new one till the 3DS comes out.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Prk89IDGmrs ... just, so, epic. I wish nintendo would stop making so many ds's though, I'm running outta money even after skipping DsLite! Plus I'm gonna need another action replay... Actually, I wouldn't have gotten the dsi if my ds hadn't broken.

I don't have it yet, and have no way of getting it myself. But I MUST HAVE IT!Megaman Legends 3, Star Fox 64 with updated EVERYTHING, Super Street Fighter 4 (not too important to me)... I just realized something. Capcom is making Megaman Legends 3 on the 3DS. Megaman Legends is a series for which a sequel has been in high demand. Megaman Legends 2 was released all the way back on the PS1. Capcom is putting highly anticipated sequels to old games of theirs on the 3DS. Gotcha Force is and old game of theirs. CAPCOM IS PUTTING GOTCHA FORCE 2 ON THE 3DS!!!

Well, first person to post who has one. I got a 3DS on launch date, and it is a nifty device. it has got a lot of good games coming out for it, but at the moment, it isn't doing to good in terms of games, I really didn't like rayman 3D. anyway, the 3D it's self is good, once your comfortable the 3D is quite nice and blends in well, it adds depth rather than having things pop out the screen. It also comes with a good mii maker which makes miis from a photograph of yourself, and a nifty game called face raiders, and the AR games, and finally street pass... it has a lot of built in applications to use until you get a proper game for the system. You gotta think beyond the gimmick, this is a fine, fine device indeed dudes. still, it has a few niggling features: playing an origional DS game on this device lowers the picture quality, and the stylus is placed at the back of the consol like the first DS design which is like a step back, and this thing smudges easily. may be best to wait for the inevitable new model thats bound to come out and put this model to shame. still, if thats all the complaints I've got, then who's to say its a bad device?

Plus there bringing back some Nintendo 64 games for it like Ocarina of Time. This, and a portable Paper Mario, are the reasons I bought one. (I've been saving money, and rarely spending it, since I was 5. This took about 250$ out of that chunk, but I actually still have about 600$ left) portable paper mario, they should have came up with that earlier! (and if you say Mario & Luigi series are almost exactly alike to Paper version, I WILL KICK YOUR....you know.) EDIT: WTH? NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Alberenza beat me to it! fine, i'll be the SECOND one to post on having it. and I even got it on launch day..... *muttering*flrma ggr nfjvn ggvs

As a matter of fact, some of the various gimmick ANNOY ME. EDIT: I don't like the thought of it replacing our old[er] DS systems. I'd hate to be outdated and everything coming out on a new system and nothing for us older system people. THIS happened to me when I had a GBA till 08, staring at the fact that these new Pokemon games were coming out, and they looked like ,so much fun. Turns out, DP&Platinum SUCKED!

The only game that looks good is the Beyond the Labyrinth. www.geek.com/articles/games/beyond-the-labyrinth-on-3ds-looks-gorgeous-20110429/And that is because it looks like they are going to use the 3D in order to deepen the atmosphere. Other than that all of the games are remakes of games I already own being resold for $50 or lame. No thanks. Also, I am still exploring the library for the DS. I have no need to upgrade.

yeah, I wont be getting the remakes (although I think I'm getting OoT...) but I got the system for Kingdom hearts 3D and paper mario, which aren't remakes. cant think of anything else I got it for, but regardless it seems like a good line up for younger players who never got the original versions.

For those of you who own one, what is your 3DS library so far?
I own;
Nintencats, Street Fighter, DOA, Lego Pirates, Lego SW III, Super Monkey Ball, Pilotwings, Ridge Racer.
I'm pretty sure that's it. I have my pre-order in for the special edition OOT as well <3
