I find it hard to believe how enthusiastic I was two months ago when I posted here. At this point, I couldn't care less, really. Megaman Legends 3? Eh, I haven't beaten 2 yet, and on the 3DS it'll probably suck anyway. Star Fox 64? I can already play it, and they're probably not going to add much of anything to it. Super Street Fighter 4? Eh, whatever. I'd rather keep playing Alpha 2 on my computer, I think. Gotcha Force 2? They're more likely to put it on Café, if they even make it. OoT? I'd rather play it normally (i.e. on my computer or that promotional disc for the GameCube). Kid Icarus? Never really got into it anyway. Paper Mario? Cool, but not enough motivation on its own. I'm not really going to worry about getting a 3DS until they have some more games that actually make me want to get it.

For those of you who own one, what is your 3DS library so far? I own; Nintencats, Street Fighter, DOA, Lego Pirates, Lego SW III, Super Monkey Ball, Pilotwings, Ridge Racer. I'm pretty sure that's it. I have my pre-order in for the special edition OOT as well <3 whoa.. so you have nearly all the launch titles! what are they like? I only have one 3DS game right now... Well, I'll arrange them into tier-like things, since I believe that will be easier XD I'd say DOA is the best by far. I mean seriously, I used to hate fighting games, but its got such amazing story sequences, a brilliant fighting system and amazingly fluid graphics. Plus, there's the downloads, a new costume for a character each day, and you can download a special CPU based on a staff members skill each week, and beating them gives you wi-fi points. Then I'd say Ridge Racer/Lego Pirates. Both are incredibly fun games, with excellent crisp graphics. I'd put them equally, because I find Ridge Racer a tad repetitive but find Lego Pirates a little bit short, otherwise they're amazing. Its a shame Ridge Racer doesn't have online though, but the length of the story mode makes up for it. I'd then say Pilotwings/Street Fighter/Nintencats are third best. Each are brilliant, but each has flaws. Again, the graphics on all are lovely, particularly on Nintencats and Pilotwings, and the gameplay is lovely on Pilotwings. However, each has a flaw; Street Fighter has barely any modes and it just doesn't feel as fun as DOA. Pilotwings is insanely short. Its unbelievable when you can complete a launch game 100% in two hours. But then again, its worth buying just for the sheer awesomeness of flying around the island. Nintencats I almost said was joint second best, as the graphics and depth of the play is very very good. And the fact that every single cat and dog is different is overwhelming. The problem is if, like me, you owned the original Nintendogs, then it feels the same. Its very different and much better mind, but it just feels the same. So its probably the best on the list if you haven't played the original, but if you have, its not really worth getting at full price. Then we come to Super Monkey Ball and Lego Star Wars III, both good games, but both have major flaws. Super Monkey Ball just feels weird. You can play it with 3D on and with the circle pad or using motion sensor without 3D, and neither really feels that good. Maybe I just don't like it that much compared to average Joe but meh. Its got some cool modes and stuff but you know, its monkey ball. Oh, also, really short compared to other monkey balls. I think it has 50 levels? which is a major let down. Lego SW III is again, really short and just not that fun. Safe to say its the only Lego game I have ever 100%ed in less than 2 days. The physics of it is okay but for me, for the most of it, it had unrecognisable, bland characters, and just didn't feel like a proper lego game. The humour was a little too childish in cutscenes, and there were no in-level randomness like in every other lego game ever. So, there you go. Mini reviews for all the 3DS games I own XD

I now have a reason to get a 3DS. It's called Gabrielle's Ghostly Groove. It doesn't have its own Wikipedia article yet; click here for more information in the meantime. According to the link, the story is this; Gabrielle sneezed her soul out of her body and has to go to Monster Town to get her soul back into her body. Seriously. That is the most absurd story I can think of off the top of my head in any game ever. It is also the most awesome story I can think of off the top of my head in any game ever. I mean, come on! Sneezing your soul out of your body? What's not to like about that? The game hasn't come out yet; it's scheduled to come out in Q3 2011. (I'm probably still not going to get a 3DS for a while after that...)

That is the most absurd story I can think of off the top of my head in any game ever. It is also the most awesome story I can think of off the top of my head in any game ever. You need to play more games. Games like Tere is a game that is based off a young boy who goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night and gets sucked into the toilet. Everyone in this toilet world looks like toilet fixtures. He must make his way to the end and fight an evil urinal. How about Touhou? Those games have weird plots. For example, the plot of Imperishable Night (Touhou 8) is that Or how about Samurai Zombie Nation. SAMURAI ZOMBIE NATION! Here is a rant brought to you by the archives of the Spoony Experiment. In fact, this review is great. Spoony is great. I am probably going to post this in the Funny Stuff thread too out of the hope that someone will watch it.

Anyway, dont get rayman 3D thats all I'm going to say on that. Also, I'm looking forward to KH 3D. speaki ng of games with wierd plots, the kingdom hearts series is very wierd, awsome, sad, and convouluted, but wierd. just look at the concept for this game.

It's basically the clichéd "evil army taking over the world(s)" type of storyline, but with Disney and Final Fantasy characters simply for the sake of having Disney and Final Fantasy characters and a crapload of convolution. It's almost like Gotcha force with 500% more convolution But sneezing your soul out? THAT IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!

I have played 1, 2, and 358/2. And convolution is not the same thing as absurdity. I can't think of a good example of something that's convoluted and not absurd, but you have to admit that getting sucked into a toilet and fighting your way through an alternate universe where everything looks like toilet fixtures, while pretty straightforward, is a very absurd plot. Kingdom Hearts is more convoluted than absurd, with everyone and everything having six replicas, all of which have their own replicas. Sure, it is a little weird (why is that kid attacking those shadows with a giant key?), but it's not really on the same level as a samurai toaster.

Wait... convoluted plots? GUILTY GEAR! I had a spread sheet of character motives and backstories and it was still hard to follow. BECAUSE THERE WAS SO MUCH ON THE SPREAD SHEET THAT IT WAS CLOGGED AND HARD TO FOLLOW. It is so backwards and confusing that the cliffnotes are hard to follow...

I... wasn't saying that getting sucked into a toilet etc wasn't absurd, just saying KH was as well, probably not THAT absurd though. anyway, I forgot Data Roxas. (dont know why I had to say that) but even so, as you said, killing shadows with a giant key while fighting alongside donald duck, goofy, mickey mouse and cloud strife among others is something most people probably wouldn't be able to imagine very easily without this game. Anyway, there's been rumors of a golden sun game on the 3DS. it would make sense, right? Also, they've announced a new Pokedex in 3D as a free download for the system. looks good, and makes me really excited for Pokemon 'gray' or whatever it will be called. check serebii.

Well, in an attempt to contribute to a conversation that has nothing to do with this thread... I also found the plot of Kingdon Hearts convoluted. It is overly elaborate and nonsensical. To me, that is not too far from convoluted.
