I suggest that everyone learns the basics of Brawl. I can tell you that one one of the most curious things that I've discovered in college is that being able to play a decent game of Brawl (or demonstrate working knowledge of it) is actually a very important social skill, on the level of joining clubs and even partying. Guys, girls, graduate students, residence counselors, and most other people find it a fun and easy way to have fun and discuss in public areas with TVs, like hall lounges. It can get quite heated, which is always fun to watch.

^I'd imagine that there are people in almost all colleges that enjoy SSBB. It's a pretty popular game. Pretty easy to pick up, too.

The Smash community is large and thriving. And that's just the people who are serious about Smash. Think of all the casuals!

I take on three level 9s on a team. And win. What does that make me?

So, I sometimes use jigglypuff ironically or as a joke. ... and now hes shaping up to be one of my best characters. Not replacing Metaknight ever. I just love using blobs in fighting games. Metaknight, kirby, jigglypuff- and Arkune in Blaz blue is my favorite character. And Arkune is pretty much a blobby sack of bugs.

Similarly, any time I use Jigglypuff in a team battle with, well, anyone against two CPUs I seem to kick anywhere from 2-19 times more ass than whoever I'm playing with. Same goes for Olimar, ROB, and just about any other character I rarely use.

I'd like to say Sonic is my best character, but I think he's just my favorite. I'm ok with Lucario and Metaknight, too. I'm also not too shabby with Zelda; not Shiek, but Zelda.
If I'm dealing with boss battles, though, I have to go with Pokemon Trainer. Charizard + Rock Smash = my only chance in making it through the intense-mode boss battles (why don't those stupid hammers work on the boss mode squares?)
My good characters with Melee were Kid Link, Roy, and Jigglypuff. Jigglypuff got nerfed and Toon Link and Ike just aren't the same to me. Mewtwo was fun to play too, but Lucario was a good replacement.

Ok, so I'm spamming regular brawl to reunlock all characters. I get to game and watch the first time...but I was messing around using jiggly and lost. I come in again, prepared with Ike. The little bastard gets a 9 on the B> thing and OHKO's me! I say, "That lucky little s***!" attempt 3 I ko him with 2 attacks.

Actually played Brawl for a couple of hours earlier. Not something I do too often anymore, it seems. Went over 1,000,000 points in Classic mode with Marth and Toon Link.
Also, as much as I detest ROB's presence in the game over, well, any of the characters they removed, I do have to admit he's quite fun to play as; blowing people up with those inexplicably present rocket boosters essentially never gets old. ;D

Toon link replaced young link Lucario replaced Mewtwo (and I'm glad) And Ike replaced Roy. ROB replaced nobody. Right now I'm maining ROB and Game&Watch.

Uh, Lucario is generally better, but there's just no way he has a better recovery.

Mewtwo had massive double jump, and then teleport. His recovery was way better. And so were his abilities. He could reflect attacks. And he had way better range. Lucario is the better damage dealer tho. He can dish it out, and upon taking it he can dish it out even better.

Mewtwo wasn't replaced by Lucario; he was replaced by Sonic. Mewtwo was originally slotted along with Lucario, but when they took that one poll on who the fans wanted to get in, Sonic won. They then set resources on Sonic, leaving Mewtwo in the dust. I dunno if the fans new they'd be getting Sonic at the expense of Mewtwo, but what's done is done, and I hope Mewtwo gets back in SSBU.
and on another note, you guys play a lot? I've never gone online (no time really lol), I'm just curious : D
