Maybe I'm just saying this because I never played competitively, but, uh... Mewtwo was an absolutely HORREDOUS character. LIES! LIIIIIIIES! Serious question, though, why is Pichu considered worse than Pikachu when Pichu has (mostly?) stronger attacks and higher speed at the mere cost of a maximum of 3% damage per use of some attacks? I mean, I get why Mewtwo wouldn't be highly regarded; I even find him somewhat awkward to use. But why Pichu? Is 3% damage that big of a deal in the metagame or something?

Nearly every single one of his attacks hurt him and he's a very light lightweight (lightest character in the game even). That is BAD. 1% for almost every attack you do, and 3% if you're hit by your thunder. That stacks up.

While mewtwo is a bit awkward to control at first (probably the most awkward character to use...) once youve got the hang of him he is actually superb, he is rather heavy and thus doesnt fly far until higher dmg % and has a great recovery and all of his attacks are amazing. Plus do to not holding the weapons with his actual hands means he has increased range on all of them, that is why he is on top. Because he is a beast in the right hands.
And i based it on how much i use them based on their usefulness/enjoyablility to me. Not crappy "stats" some nerd that sits in a closet and gets paid $60,000 a year to create bs thought up. I do not utilize tier ranking in the least, because i play for fun not keeps. I have the game because it is a way to vent stress, have fun, and create otherwise unpossible scenarios. Not because i want to boost my ego, which in the grand scheme of things, brawl doesnt even do. If you were to tell most people you pwn n00bs at ssbb, they would probably yell "NERD ALERT!" and walk away even though they too secretly play it. Just to save face. Its all a conspiracy.

So he's one of those characters that can utterly destroy the opponents if you happen to have super dodging skills? But unless your opponent sucks that's not going to happen, making his use impractical? Or does my memory grossly exaggerate the power of his attacks? You're preaching to the choir here, if I'm using that expression I think I've heard a couple of times correctly; I mained Mewtwo in Melee, hence the emphasis on how I even find him somewhat awkward to use. You also forgot to mention that (if I'm not mistaken) he has the best throws in the game.

He can litteraly mind freak you lol. And while his attacks are slightly weaker than pikachu, he also has a better skullbash, and is faster due to his lighter weight. His skull bash does take a tad longer to charge, and he takes around 10% dmg? If memory serves, (its probabaly way more.) but his skullbash does do more dmg

Your mind is exaggerating, he's WEAKER. Even the side smash? I could've sworn the side smash had inordinately insane knockback.

My TV's speakers have just broke and I was just looking for something to brawl to. No comment on you being a chicken I see. EDIT: nvm I ain't gonna brawl to that shitty music.
