Okay so a little while ago, information regarding that Gamefreaks was going to make a 5th generation pokemon game. One called White and one called Black. I want to know people's opinions about a new generation of pokemon coming out and if they think it's a good idea or not.
I think it's always nice to have a new pokemon game but I'm worried about what they are going to do with ideas for new pokemon. I mean they practicaly did everything out there. They even have a god Pokemon, so how can they exceed that?

I really don't think there's much more they can do...I mean, I love Pokemon, but unless they really stretch their brains really hard to make something really good, it's pretty likely that Gen. 5 is going to be a fail (I mean Gen. 4 isn't too excellent already if you know what I mean). And they should work on making sequels for their non-Pokemon games, anyways. ;D

I kid but in all seriousness what was the last non-Pokemon game Gamefreaks released that you can remember?

(I've never thought about them making other games so I've never looked out for their name) Damn Gamefreaks

Drill Dozer (think Jill Assist Trophy from Brawl) and Pulseman are two. I think Drill Dozer (GBA, 2005) is the most recent one. Man I love that game ;D On topic, I ran onto Serebii to check out the games and the graphics actually look pretty sweet

I really don't think there's much more they can do...I mean, I love Pokemon, but unless they really stretch their brains really hard to make something really good I've always wondered what the major difference in each game has been. I've never played any Poké-games, but my initial impression has been that you more or less play the same game ( by catching the same things) over and over again, only that each new game have had a few new set of monsters to catch. The really early games, where you even transferred your already acquired monsters to the next game(s), must've made the new games really short since only the new set of monsters in those games provided new gameplay. Of course, that's my conception of things. Another game that never made it to EU. - Not that I personally care since I'm not much into handhelds, but it's still part of the PAL treatment.
- Yes, I know GBA games were/is region free, but the point is that we shouldn't have to be forced to look far abroad for games.

That's pretty much how it is. It's just, if your a big fan of Pokemon, to show this your meant to keep buying the games and keeping doing the same thing over and over (Because i could never trade Pokemon over so i had to catch them all again)

Maybe I like this because I'm a little bit of a battle maniac when it comes to Pokemon. Also the post game content has been pretty good as well but with this game it's just the basically the post game content from the first Pokemon Gold & Silver, the Battle Frontier that they have been putting in every Pokemon game since Emerald, and catching Legendary Pokemon again.

They should just make one based on the very first Pokemon series. 151 Pokemon (all catch-able) the original areas (pallet town ect) but all in great detail (Both the towns, Pokemon and other stuff) So not just 4 buildings in a town. Maybe 20 or so.
I buy something like that.

A Pokemon game based off the Anime? I don't think I would enjoy a Pokemon game where have the time your doing pointless crap with some of the worst dialouge ever. Oh wait.....Actually you might have a point there. But I agree. The first season was really good in so many stupid but good ways. I still have many VHS from it that I got years ago.

Admin - New areas, new graphics, new pokemon, new attacks, and a whole new metagame. When you look at it like that, they can go on making games forever, as long as there's people on this earth lol I personally think for a game to actually remain good when it's passed its time, it has to have an end. I think Pokemon's time is nearly up. First they need to make another Pokemon Dungeon & Ranger ;D Not that i could play them anyway XD

Sadly I think it might be a little unfitting for Pokemon to have a mind blowing ending to the series. I think the series will just end, without any spectacular finish.

I've seen many things have endings like that. It's a shame really.
