So I just finished episode 6 and I have no idea why this is here. I've had two people tell me the series is boring at this point, and I don't get it. The pacing in this series is sublime, a rare instance where I wouldn't want anything removed nor anything added. I could be totally wrong for the rest of the series and the movies, but 5 episodes isn't a very long time and I've yet to see a boring anime movie... I wouldn't call the series perfect, obviously, but I'm wondering if it's the lack of action scenes or something. Keep in mind you're one of the people who didn't mind "Endless Eight" either. Oh I minded, endless 8 almost killed me with it's tedium. I almost went insane. THAT is why I loved it. I know how it feels to be bored watching an anime, and watching it anyway. This show doesn't give me that feeling.

The series was good, honestly. The movies, though, they had some nice moments, but they were practically 90% just characters talking and info-dumping.

Seen the series and both movies... but not air communications, which I heard really was an abridgement of the series with a constant narration. King of Eden and Paradise Lost though? Nah. Beautiful movies, if slightly rushed in some places. I'll probably be watching through this one again soon, I'm going to need some time to digest it. The 3 DVDs I brought recently (Baccano, Eden of the East, Shiki) turned out to be three of my favourite anime in a fair while. Actually that's not true, I say that for almost any anime I watch. Also while I heartily enjoyed Baccano, I wouldn't put it up there as a personal classic. Now all I need is a job for even more anime! In a way Eden of the East inspired me to at least give it a shot.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is totally worth watching. I just finished the series, so I'll be moving onto the movie next, then I'll probably buy the rebuild of evangelion movies on blu ray.
Bear in mind, however, that it's less a cohesive story and more a therapy session for Otaktu (and the director I guess, who was suffering from depression at the time) but hey, who knows what the movie will bring.

Captain Earth, for some odd reason, was what caught my eye, though I'll probably watch WIXOSS for the sole reason that the writer behind it made Toradora...and man I liked Toradora.

I'm still trying to get into Kamen Rider Gaim. There's just so much other tokusatsu I could be watching. I'm so behind (about episode 9 and there are 16 out at the time of posting), but I'm having a hard time getting motivated to watch it.

Kamen Rider's awesome, but try L-Gaim.

Robots are pretty cool. And the art direction is pretty fly. What's L-Gaim about and why is it good?

Can't tell you.That's what I know.
Actually, from what I know, it's not really considered to be very good, despite being directed by the same people as Five Star Stories and Aura Battler Dunbine (which are considered hit mecha classics). It's kind of a robots and space opera thing, and I couldn't really say much more outside of how L-Gaim units play in mecha crossover games.
I plan to watch it some time. Just mentioned it because you said Gaim.

I saw summer wars the other night and it was a really fun feel good movie, although it wasn't as emotionally involving as the girl who leapt through time.

If you enjoyed Summer Wars you should check out the Digimon Movie, because Summer Wars is essentially a blatant rip off of that movie down to the last step.

Do you need to watch any other digimon media to understand the movie? I only remember bits and pieces of tamers from when I was a child.

As long as one knows that Digimon come from a world that exists within computers they're good to go~!

The first Digimon movie's amazing. You don't need any context at all for it. I've honestly seen it probably around 70-80 times if not more and it's still great. I used to watch it almost every night at some point, and have just picked it up every handful of months. And I usually am against rewatching anything.
I mean... It's not amazing like breathtaking. It's just so entertaining. Right from the start it's so fast paced to the end. There's no dull moments at all. Lots of scene transitioning, tons of memorable cheesy jokes and remarks and moments, a lot of insert songs around the movie... It's pure entertainment.

I've recently begun watching Ouran Highschool Host Club. It's pretty funny. I am, atm watching Bitten, and next will be Being Human, then Adventure time, then Regular Show, and finally Lost Girl.
The ones that caught my eye were Black Bullet Blade & Soul Break Blade Fairy Tail 2014 Fuun Ishin Dai Shogun Hitsugi no Chaika Mekaku City Actors And No Game No Life
And I wanna see what they do with Soul Eater Not

Ouran highschool seemed ok based on the first episode. It's more popular than most highschool comedies, but not my thing. I was tempted to buy it on DVD anyway because the DVDs are really cheap for a 20+ episode series.
I'm not really watching anything right now outside of the currently running shows, and I'm slowing down on those. I guess I'm in post evangelion blues.
Maybe I'll just get chobits which dropped dramatically in price recently...
Oh, and has anyone else seen the lego movie? I saw it the other day and I thought it was pretty great.

Slo-slow down Kill La Kill! Jeez, do you know how rabid you make me look each time you put so much HYPE into a single episode? Trigger's budget may be lower than other studios, but I swear their HYPE budget has infinite resources. Yes HYPE is a tangible thing that can be seen in the show that's as 'there' as the animation or sound is. Kill La Kill has convinced me that HYPE is a physical resource and that Trigger has a monopoly on HYPE mines. So yeah, not rabid. Not rabid. Nothing special happened. Just everything, which isn't much really... just... everything, for the third or fourth time in a row now. HYPE?
EDIT: On a less positive note, Ryuko needs to calm down. Like, majorly. She isn't just bipolar she's... well, at this point she'd give a schizophrenic a run for their money. Praise Satsuki.
