Just how well worth is this currency, or rather, what insanely cheap prizes do they have in England? ? ? I watched an British auction on TV yesterday, and one guy sold something for 80 Pounds and he said he was going on vacation with that money. Over here you would need several thousand before even thinking about going on vacation.  |

£80 could rent you a cottage in England for a few days but that's not usually enough to get you a holiday abroad. If you want to see for yourself how much things are in England check out online stores like www.amazon.co.uk and that should give you a sense of how much things are. |

Please excuse my language... Whoever said they can go on holiday with that is chatting s***  Maybe where Crazy lives places are pretty cheap but here in London, EVERYTHING is so expensive. This is why i want to leave London after college (£80 in London would probably get me a cheap shitty B&B for 2 nights XD) |

I'm pretty sure no one can go on vacation for 80 pounds ($130.48).
My guess is that the guy on tv was being sarcastic or he has a low standard for vacations.

Maybe he was going to "Add" it to his vacation fund? Hahaha even if that was the... Case lol, (Lame i know) £80 wouldn't do much with todays prices. Maybe £800 would do somthing ;D But with £800 i certainly wouldn't put it towards a holiday unless i was earning hard cash. |

Saw the same program yesterday.
Now a guy won £150 and said he was going on vacation, but this time the show host reacted, like, "Vacation? With that money? We'll see."

I dun know. I always switch the TV on when it's in the middle of the program and I never finish watching it either.
The host is seriously tanned though, and has his glasses down on his nose-tip.
