Better than Earthbound? You sure about that? I'LL BET MY LIFE ON IT. Actually, I have very little doubt that Earthbound will remain the more important/remembered game, but trust me, Undertale does everything Earthbound does (Yes, even that. That.) and then some. I like Undertale more pretty much by default, regardless of closer examination, because Earthbound is a game that I never had the patience to finish, whereas I'm nearing the end of my second playthrough of Undertale. That would be because Undertale is a much shorter game overall, but it changes dramatically on repeat playthroughs. It's a game where you can kill an important character, and reload to an early save point in order to rescue them. The game will know exactly what you did prior to the reset, and it will let you know that it knows.

I've noticed you tend to be that way about most games that came out before you were born. Thats fine. But I'll have to see it to believe this game is better than Earthbound.

You'll never know if you agree with me or not unless you play it. Even if you don't find it better than Earthbound, which is entirely possible, I will be utterly shocked if you don't like the game.

I'm currently playing Super Mario Maker in case that thread I just made wasn't any indication. Because of this I don't have much cash on hand and probably won't be getting that game for a bit. Also gotta make sure I have enough money for Xenoblade X when it releases in December; gonna have to skip Wooly World in the meantime, which is a shame because it appears to be the first Yoshi's Island-esque game that actually seems to have it right since the original. (Yoshi's New Island was a disgrace to the series and DS was...okay...)

If you like that, I may gift you the game, since it's pretty cheap.

Fair enough, I can be pretty close-minded (or just not get around to things.) You did interest me with your crazy claim, so I'll probably check it out if you keep raving about it long enough (thus I don't forget. I still can't even remember the name.)

UNDERTALE. DEMO.INCIDENTALLY. I GOT THE TRUE ENDING. AND THE FINAL BOSS MADE ME CRY. BECAUSE. I NEARLY SCREWED EVERYTHING UP. PERMANENTLY. Oh, and I posted some music from the game in the music thread, and I can post more. I think the best songs in the game should be saved for a blind playthrough though. All of it should basically be played blind.

Tried to tell you. Enjoy P3 for all it's worth before moving to P2. It's obscure for a reason.

On the subject of Persona 2, at least Innocent Sin, I really don't enjoy the game. I could go on for ages about all the stuff I don't like. I actually like Persona 1 more, but in general I find the pre-PS2 era Shin Megami Tensei games to be far too archaic for their own good. Which is a shame, since the PS1 wasn't really an archaic games system. I guess Atlus just took its sweet time catching up. And when they did, we got gems like Nocturne, Persona 3, 4, and the Digital Devil Saga duology, not to mention Etrian Odyssey on the DS. I'm playing... what am I playing right now? Nothing, I guess. I got Skullgirls recently but while the game is good, the single-player content is disappointingly bare bones. Arcsystems and Smash Bros have spoiled me in that regard. I'm pretty much just looking for the game that will fill that Undertale-shaped hole in my Undertale-shaped heart.

No, but I've seen parts of it and heard about it (and the reception compared to 3/4 is poor.)

Steve got me into playing Smite, which I kinda enjoy. But he did it at the worse possible time because the VERMINTIIIIIIDE pre-order beta started yesterday, which I've been super hyped for.

Disgaea 5, which is a ton of fun. I actually wasn't planning on buying this, but apparently demos actually do sell games!

Ace Attorney Investigations. Finished Apollo and it was great, slightly less than the original but better than J4A.
