So basically its FE/Valkryia but with more wit, randomness and less depth in its story. You just played the demo. Like my problem with BD's demo, you just get a small taste of the game, so you miss on the game's personality. That said, I know how much you value story, so I'll leave it at that. Both Bravely Default and S.T.E.A.M have really long demos, and they're really good demos too. When I'm not interested in a game after a number of hours of continuous play I think I've played enough to form my thoughts. I don't think it's my fault if I don't like the game at that point. Valkyria Chronicles has a pretty bad story unfortunately. It's more generic than Awakening. It was earnest however, and I prefer earnest storytelling to tongue in cheek. Bravely Default's demo made me hate the game at first. Just saying. But hey, I can understand people not being a huge fan of it. I'm just devastated that it's only sold a pathetic 50,000 units or so which means there's no way we're getting a sequel/spiritual successor.

Mmm, I acknowledge that much, I was just still curious what the drop rate was. I remember it being 1/200 early on, I don't see much concrete on an actual statistic, so I was curious. Admittedly, I'm assuming that I'm just not supposed to get an egg - 1/200 is a pretty low statistic, but still, five hundred kubrow dens later and I think I have a reason to give up.
Which is apparently why I haven't technically canceled the quest. Just left my account sitting there since. . . uh, shortly after the initial six syndicates came up.
Anyways, I've also been messing around with Heavy Bullets, Depth, and Magicka 2 preview thanks to sales and whatnot. I'm also poking around FTB minecraft modpacks so I can carry out a request from a friend and I've been poking around Elona+. . . 1.44 I think it is? Finally, been messing around with Starcraft 2's Extension Mods - SC HoTS Expanded in particular - and Blizzard gave me beta access to Heroes of the Storm.

Keep your fries, I was talking about Code Name Steam with the 50k units/no sequel thing. It's coming out in April in Japan which means we're probably not getting it until 2016 (if at all), but...Bravely Second. There is a demo though for Japan (2 months old news) and it seems to, as a sequel should, retain a lot of the old while making new. There seems to be some sort of gunner class now. I only just now saw this stuff about BS, so I'm gonna report back when I have more research. Think before you post. Use your common sense.

Oh man... I was staying up for the Splatoon Global Testfire, and fell asleep until the last 20 minutes.
But hey, I got in 20 minutes of gameplay! It was a lot of fun. Splatoon plays really well, it feels really naturally and I had a lot of fun. The main thing that concerned me is that I was worried it would be like various other modern shooters that I've played where the respawn times are long, deaths are frequent and hard to see coming, and the maps are long. Splatoon has short reload times, instant teleport to allies, small maps, and infrequent deaths. Even when you're not interacting with other teamates and enemy players you're still constantly doing things because your aim is to cover ground for your team and capture territory rather than to rack up more kills than the opposing team.
I think I'll be getting this, because it's pretty cheep, too. Apparently people who download the test-fire also get a discount? That's pretty cool.
EDIT: Oh, and there's this cute little NES game you can play on the loading screens. You just control an inkling squid jumping up platforms and trying to escape a flood but it's quite charming. I almost didn't notice it at first because sometimes I forget that the gamepad actually has a screen.

That reminds me, I'd like to end up streaming some Gotcha Force sometime soon, but the lag I had when playing the game itself was. .. not bad, but it was there. Streaming it - and the fact that I still have my Dolphin Emulator on the external hard drive - might drive that up another notch.

My grumblings about Kubrow Egg Drop Rates have been made temporarily irrelevant - a recent outbreak of the Feral kind of these furballs has just landed me with a free Starter Kit. . . even though I all ready had everything but the egg.
*Shrugs*
Not going to look at a gift straight from the Lotus with anything other than thanks, just didn't expect it at all. I had actually thought it was because I had switched quests to prevent some repetitive dialogue from Simaris.

Obviously I was surprised at all the changes, also relatively happy that my warframes aren't under-powered due to everything they added.

Fire Emblem; Radiant Dawn All my yes. I love you. Did you get to play Path of Radiance? Oh, and if you ever want some advice, feel free to ask. I know both games fairly well. Make sure you don't let too many people die. I know that that's important for Fire Emblem in general, but I've had a few playthroughs that screwed me over because too many of my characters were under-leveled or dead, and you can't grind. I had to restart those ones from scratch. Don't rely on the super-powerful allies the game gives you early on. Get Michaia's levels up ASAP.

I looked for Radiant Dawn's ROM, but alas, CoolRoms was forced to remove all nintendo roms, and I don't trust other sites. However, I fond it pre-owned at Gamestop yesterday. 70 bucks. That's how stupid rare this game is, for the record, the rare Xenoblade Chronicles port for NA consoles sells at Gamestop for 60, I;ve been doing everything you said. I knew I'd be forced to use Micaiah throughout the game, so I've been making sure she gets levels, and I've been avoiding using Sothe except in serious pinches, and Nolan and Edward do a lot of the brunt work. Leonardo I'm having trouble using usefully, he's so weak... I initially thought that Nolan was this game's Titania/Frederick, but then I saw how fast he was getting EXP and realized he's still a fighter. If I need advice, I'll ask. But ONLY give me advice if I ask.

Sorry I need to tell you this. Make sure you start giving Sothe EXP a few chapters down the line. He will need levels, but he can/should be neglected right now. Sorry! Anyway have fun.
