Is it any fun?
Not knowing how this game plays is quite annoying.

The other day I watched a video from Nov 2008 of this game and realizing Europe got the finger big-time from Namco, I cursed quite loudly.

I've seen various videos on Youtube. It looks like Symphonia 1 but its faster pased.

That's cuz' they never put a 60 Hz option in the game.
Which is stupid considering we've had 60 Hz friendly TV's here in Europe since the early 90's!

I had the NTSC version before I bought PAL and the difference in speed was quite big.

The wii is always 60hz isn't it ?

^ Only if you've chosen the right TV type in the Wii options, and that concerns Wii titles only.
If you've chosen to have a HD-TV, it "degrades" to 60 Hz if you start up a Cube game in which you can choose 60 Hz for.

I've played it...I think Symphonia 1's better, but DotNW has its perks too. This is just the impression I got from the game playing it with friends, even though I don't actually own it [but I played most of it xD]

Pros:
-Running around the axis
-More epic Hi-Ougis (Mystic Artes)

-Characters [outside of the anime parts of course] that don't look like 10 year olds [except Colette looks terrible...She was my favoritest character, so that kind of annoys me]
-Voiced skits
-Nicer graphics

-No walking on world map
-New voice actors for some characters [some of them actually match their characters better, but of course nobody's used to them so naturally nobody likes them xD]
-More dramatic plot [My cousin and I had fun ruining all of the serious scenes, but it does get a lot sappier than the first Symphonia IMO)
-Long long cutscenes

Cons:
-Monsters can't be controlled by a human player
-Symphonia 1's characters are generally weaker than the new characters
-Harder to squeeze in 4 human players since for most of the game there are only 2-3 human characters in the party
-Gameplay actually felt a little slower to me
-Yuan's middle name is also a way to say "coffee" in Chinese. Way to go, Namco
