One time when I was renting the game almost every week instead of owning it, I swear I had leveled up a Hatchet Knight to some point and I got a little vid like after you beat DK and G Red goes Neo, and I got an Axe Knight. Am I crazy or was this a dream from playing GF and Pokemon right before bed?

The only video I can think of is the transformation video from G Red to Neo, which happens only once (your very first playthrough) after the Dark Knight battle.
Hatchet and Axe Knights are two different Borgs and need to be gotten separately.

Was there Axe Knights in the battle you fought? You might have skipped the cutscene when you got a Axe Knight if you did fight any in that battle.

damn cuz that would be useful...you can see where i got the idea tho right?
hatchet and axe knights look similar, like one came from the other, same with hammer and spike knight.....
